    Name  Toney Douglas
    Born  3/16/1986
    Height  6-2
    Weight  185
    College  Florida State
    2/4/2015 4:22:00 PM
Description: Point guard Toney Douglas having finished his season in China, has been signed by the New Orleans Pelicans.
Insight: Douglas won't have any fantasy value, but his signing is a bad omen for Jrue Holiday owners. The Pelicans obviously are planning for a significant amount of time without the star point guard.

    1/15/2014 2:02:00 PM
Description: The Warriors traded point guard Toney Douglas to Miami Wednesday as part of a three-team swap. SOURCE: Adrian Wojnarowski, Yahoo Sports
Insight: The Heat sent center Joel Anthony to Boston while Golden State received Jordan Crawford and MarShon Brooks from the Celtics. Douglas only played 11 minutes per game for the Warriors and he could see even less time in Miami.

    12/9/2013 10:55:00 AM
Description: Warriors backup point guard Toney Douglas is questionable for Monday's game against Charlotte with a stress reaction in his left tibia.
Insight: Douglas replaced Jarrett Jack as the team's reserve point guard to Stephen Curry after Jack departed for Cleveland. He has averaged 6.4 points per game in seven contests. He's already over the original two-week estimate.

    11/12/2013 10:27:00 PM
Description: Warriors backup point guard Toney Douglas will miss two weeks due to a stress reaction in his left tibia.
Insight: Douglas replaced Jarrett Jack as the team's reserve point guard after Jack departed for Cleveland. He has averaged 16 minutes and 6.4 points per game so far.

    2/20/2013 8:38:00 PM
Description: Toney Douglas is part of the trade between Houston and Sacramento. He has been traded to Sacramento along with Patrick Patterson and Cole Aldrich
Insight: Douglas didn't have much fantasy value as Houston's backup point guard but that situation looks outstanding compared to the Kings, who have a glut of combo guards to choose from.

    2/20/2013 2:23:00 PM
Description: Rockets backup PG Toney Douglas is questionable for Wednesday's game against Oklahoma City with a hip pointer. He has missed the last three games and will be a game-time decision.
Insight: Douglas doesn't give fantasy owners much (8.1 ppg, 1.8 rpg, 1.9 apg) nor does his backup - Patrick Beverly.

    2/11/2013 11:42:00 AM
Description: Rockets guard Toney Douglas is questionable for Tuesday's game Golden State with a hip pointer.
Insight: Jeremy Lin (12.5 ppg, 6.1 apg) didn't see extra minutes with Douglas sidelined on Sunday, they went to Patrick Beverley who posted a very impressive six points, five rebounds and eight assists in 19 minutes.

    2/10/2013 12:06:00 PM
Description: Rockets guard Toney Douglas is doubtful for Sunday's game against Sacramento with a hip pointer.
Insight: Jeremy Lin (12.5 ppg, 6.1 apg) will be forced to play some extra minutes if Douglas (8.1 ppg) is sidelined.

    2/8/2013 9:07:00 PM
Description: A hip pointer has forced Rockets guard Toney Douglas from Friday night's game against the Trail Blazers.
Insight: It doesn't look like he'll be returning. Jeremy Lin (12.5 ppg, 6.1 apg) will be forced to play some extra minutes if Douglas (8.3 ppg) is indeed done for the night.

    12/8/2012 11:00:00 PM
Description: Rockets guard Toney Douglas has severely cut into Jeremy Lin's minutes over the last three games, averaging 28 mpg to Lin's 21.
Insight: Lin's poor shooting and sloppy ballhandling have landed him on the bench more often in favor of Douglas, who has scored 15 ppg his last three games.

    12/4/2012 10:45:00 PM
Description: Rockets guard Toney Douglas joined teammate Greg Smith in helping Houston come back from a 17-point deficit to beat the Los Angeles Lakers Tuesday. Douglas scored 22 points on 8-of-17 shooting with three assists, four rebounds, two steals and three threes.
Insight: Douglas has had some decent games as Houston's backup PG this season but nothing like this explosion. We don't expect an encore but could see Douglas cut into struggling starter Jeremy Lin's minutes like he did Tuesday.

    7/9/2012 9:46:00 PM
Description: Guard Toney Douglas has been traded to Houston as part of a sign-and-trade deal for center Marcus Camby.
Insight: Douglas averaged 10.6 ppg in 81 games in 2010-11, but he fell out of Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni's rotation and stayed on the bench when Mike Woodson took the reigns. Douglas ended up averaging 6.2 points in 38 games. Houston lost free agent point guard Goran Dragic to the Suns and Kyle Lowry to trade, so there isn't much guard competition on the roster right now. Douglas could make for a nice late-round sleeper in deeper leagues.

    3/31/2012 7:36:00 PM
Description: Toney Douglas is expected to see an increased role with Jeremy Lin (knee) out for six weeks, Knicks coach Mike Woodson said.
Insight: From out of the abyss comes Douglas, who has only played 19 total minutes since Feb. 6. Wait to see how much of a role Douglas will play off the Knicks bench before you even think about adding him. Even if he does get increased minutes, he is maddingly inconsistent, so don't expect too much out of him.

    4/5/2011 9:43:00 PM
Description: Toney Douglas did what most guards do against Toronto and torched them to the tune of 28 points, six dimes, and five threes.
Insight: Douglas was a very strong start tonight and there's not much of a chance he'll do this against a team with respectable backcourt defense. He'll have a tougher time against Philly on Wednesday.

    3/28/2011 10:45:00 PM
Description: Toney Douglas rebounded following his latest stinker with 16 points, four boards, and two threes in 37 minutes to help the Knicks snap their six-game losing streak.
Insight: Landry Fields did not play much with only 25 minutes and three points to show for it. It seems like Douglas is the better player to own for his upside and how D'Antoni counts on him for offense in short order.

    3/26/2011 9:38:00 PM
Description: Landry Fields was moved to the bench, but he played starting minutes (34) and handed in a line of 16 points, six, boards, and a three in the sixth consecutive loss for New York. Toney Douglas got the starting nod and was seemingly nonexistent with five points, two assists, and a three in only 15 minutes.
Insight: Owners of either player shouldn't read too much into the ugly game by Douglas. The both have comparable value, so if threes and steals are your deficiency, then go for Douglas.

    3/19/2011 3:02:00 AM
Description: Douglas contributed 20 points Friday night, to go along with five boards and 11 assists despite coming off the bench.
Insight: Douglas actually played 2:20 more than Chauncey Billups and could be shooting the way to a buyout of the final year on Billups' contract. Douglas hasn't dipped below 27 minutes despite Billups' return from injury, and his minutes have actually climbed over the past three games. If you own him, why not ride him for now? (RapidDraft.com)

    3/18/2011 9:51:00 PM
Description: Toney Douglas followed his nine-trey game with a stellar line of 20 points, five boards, 11 dimes, and four threes in the loss to Detroit.
Insight: Douglas and Hansbrough are stealing the show right now and both are absolutely must-own players in all leagues. Will Douglas cool down? Of course. He should still have very nice value in all leagues though.

    3/18/2011 3:43:00 AM
Description: Toney Douglas continues to sweep the nation with his three-point barrage by hitting nine on his way to 29 points in 31 minutes.
Insight: Hello, doctor! Douglas is playing lights out right now and he should already be owned in just about any league that counts triples. Enjoy the ride and he should be well worth owning despite some inconsistencies.

    3/18/2011 2:05:00 AM
Description: Douglas drained nine threes, amid 12 shots, to lead the Knicks' franchise-record performance Thursday night.
Insight: The team hit 20 overall. Douglas came away with 29 points in 31 minutes. (RapidDraft.com)
