NBA Preview from The Sports Network

Tuesday, February 4th (All times Eastern)

    Chicago Bulls (23-24) at Phoenix Suns (29-18), 9 p.m.

(SportsNetwork.com) - The Phoenix Suns have been on a roll lately and will try to keep the momentum going Tuesday night when they welcome the Chicago Bulls to US Airways Center.

The Suns have won five straight and seven of their last eight. They recently swept a four-game eastern trip, which included a rare road victory in Indiana, something that has happened just twice this season for visitors to Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Upon return to Phoenix, Goran Dragic scored 25 points on 10-of-14 shooting and added five rebounds and four assists to lead the Suns over the Charlotte Bobcats, 105-95, on Saturday.

"It feels like I'm playing basketball with my friends back home with no pressure," said Dragic, a native of Slovenia. "I get great support from my teammates. It's just fun."

Wonder how many Western Conference Player of the Month awards Dragic won back in Slovenia because he earned that honor on Monday. He averaged 26.8 points, 6.0 assists and 4.0 rebounds and shot 63.9 percent from the field and 69.2 percent from 3-point territory.

In addition, Dragic tied a career-long streak with four straight games with 20-plus points.

The Suns built a 27-point lead against Charlotte by making 56.7 percent of their shots over the first three quarters.

Marcus Morris and twin brother Markieff provided 15 and 13 points, respectively, in the victory.

The Bulls tallied their second straight loss on this marathon road trip to move to 1-2. After a win in San Antonio, Chicago lost at New Orleans and got clobbered in Sacramento.

The Bulls lost 99-70 to the Kings Monday as they haven't scored 100 point in their last seven.

Chicago shot just 28.2 percent (22-of-78) from the floor, 20 percent (4- for-20) from the 3-point line and were outrebounded 53-30. They Bulls allowed the Kings to shoot over 50 percent from the field.

"You got to learn from it, you have to make your corrections," Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau said.

All-Star center Joakim Noah was ejected in the third quarter when he picked up two technical fouls in less than three minutes. He yelled obscenities at the referees while being escorted off the court.

"I shouldn't have acted that way. I apologized. I'm sorry," Noah told the team's website. "All three of the referees out there were trying to do their jobs and I should've never said the things that I said. Hope they accept my apology. I hope we can move on from this."

Noah will probably have to move on a little lighter in the wallet.

Jimmy Butler had 17 points to lead Chicago, followed by 11 apiece from Tony Snell and Taj Gibson.

The Bulls still have to visit Golden State and the Los Angeles Lakers on this trip.

Chicago defeated Phoenix at home on Jan. 7 and has taken five of the last six meetings. The Bulls have won four straight as the visitor in this series.
