Atlanta Hawks (7-5) at Detroit Pistons (4-7), 7:30 p.m.
(SportsNetwork.com) - Josh Smith and the Detroit Pistons will try to exact revenge on the Atlanta Hawks when the two teams clash Friday at The Palace.
The Pistons dropped a 93-85 decision at Atlanta on Wednesday in the opener of a home-and-home set and Smith, a former Hawk, was limited to 11 points on 5- of-15 shooting. Smith joined the Pistons in the offseason after spending nine season with Atlanta.
"It felt good (being back), but it would have felt even better if we won," Smith said.
Brandon Jennings and Rodney Stuckey scored 21 and 18 points, respectively, for Detroit, which got 10 points and 12 rebounds from Andre Drummond.
Detroit has alternated wins and losses over its last five games.
Atlanta has won three of its last four games and was aided by Paul Millsap's 19 points in the win over the Pistons. Jeff Teague scored 18 points and DeMarre Carroll added 11 and 12 rebounds.
"Down the stretch we made some big plays," Millsap said. "It was a good effort."
The Hawks shot 50.7 percent from the floor.
Kyle Korver went 2-of-3 from the 3-point line and extended his streak of consecutive games with a made 3-pointer to 85. The all-time NBA mark of 89 belongs to Dana Barros.
Atlanta has won five of six and 14 of the past 19 matchups with Detroit.
