    5/2/2014 11:46:00 AM
Description: Brewers relief pitcher Jim Henderson has been placed on the 15-day disabled list.
Insight: After losing the closer's job to Francisco Rodriguez, his fantasy value is minimal. He's not likely to get the job back anytime soon as Rodriguez has been unhittable (0.00 ERA, 13 saves).

    4/1/2014 8:00:00 PM
Description: According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Brewers manager Ron Roenicke reiterated that Jim Henderson will take back the closer role from Francisco Rodriguez once he gets his stuff back on track.
Insight: "We want him as our closer," Roenicke said. "That's what we want." Henderson struggled with his velocity and mechanics this spring and had a 6.00 ERA in nine innings. He said he feels fine physically.

    7/30/2013 9:15:00 PM
Description: Brewers righty Jim Henderson has gone 3-for-3 in save chances since the team traded Francisco Rodriguez.
Insight: Henderson has walked three batters but hasn't allowed a hit in his last three save opportunities. He hasn't allowed a run since July 11.

    7/23/2013 9:06:00 PM
Description: Jim Henderson will likely reacquire the Brewers closer role following Francisco Rodriguez' trade to the Orioles.
Insight: Henderson has 10 saves and a 2.27 ERA this season, but he lost the closer role in June when he struggled following a stint on the disabled list.

    6/21/2013 11:04:00 PM
Description: Brewers pitcher Jim Henderson returned to the closer role Friday and earned his 10th save of the season.
Insight: Henderson walked two but worked out of the jam to preserve a 2-0 win. Henderson had been serving as the setup man to Francisco Rodriguez since returning from the DL.

    6/11/2013 9:32:00 PM
Description: Milwaukee manager Ron Roenicke brought Jim Henderson in to pitch in the eighth inning with the Brewers leading 4-3 over Miami, which means that Francisco Rodriguez is still the closer for now.
Insight: Henderson had a 0.87 ERA and was 9-for-9 in save chances prior to Tuesday's game, so he didn't exactly do anything to lose the job, but K-Rod pitched well when Henderson was on the DL with a hamstring strain. Henderson struck out the side in the eighth but he didn't help his cause by allowing a two-run homer to Giancarlo Stanton. With John Axford also pitching pretty well, this looks to be a fluid situation, but Henderson seems like the least combustible option.

    6/9/2013 9:22:00 AM
Description: Milwaukee closer Jim Henderson has been activated from the disabled list.
Insight: Henderson's return from a hamstring injury will push Francisco Rodriguez back into a setup role. Henderson's last appearance came on May 24th against Pittsburgh.

    6/7/2013 9:15:00 PM
Description: Brewers closer Jim Henderson (hamstring) told reporters prior to his rehab game Friday that he feels like he's 100 percent, according to Kyle Lobner of SBNation. He's expected to be activated Sunday.
Insight: Henderson suffered a strained right hamstring on May 24. With zero blown saves in nine chances and a 0.92 ERA, there's no reason to think he won't get the closer role back, even though Francisco Rodriguez has pitched well in his place.

    6/5/2013 8:27:00 PM
Description: Brewers closer Jim Henderson (hamstring) will throw in a minor league game Friday and will be activated Sunday, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
Insight: That's assuming all goes well. Henderson suffered a strained right hamstring on May 24. He's 9-for-9 in save chances and has a 0.92 ERA and a 0.81 WHIP this season. There's no reason to think he won't get the closer role back, even thought Francisco Rodriguez has pitched well in his place.

    5/25/2013 10:15:00 PM
Description: Reliever Jim Henderson has been diagnosed with a strained right hamstring.
Insight: The Brewers have placed Henderson on the disabled list. In the meantime, John Axford and Francisco Rodriguez will compete for save opportunities.

    5/24/2013 10:47:00 PM
Description: Brewers closer Jim Henderson exited Friday's game against the Pirates with what appeared to be a right hamstring injury. The Brewers turned to Francisco Rodriguez after the injury.
Insight: Henderson reached for a grounder up the middle and immediately grabbed the back of his right leg near the hamstring. He tried to stay in the game but came out after throwing a warmup pitch. The right-hander was one out away from getting his 10th save. This could be K-Rod's opening to return to the ninth inning.

    4/8/2013 2:42:00 PM
Description: Brewers reliever Jim Henderson could get a chance to close if John Axford is out as is rumored by Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
Insight: Henderson has been solid in three appearances, giving up just two hits, zero runs and striking out four. He earned three saves in 2012, but also blew four opportunities so this likely isn't a great option.

    8/16/2012 7:33:00 PM
Description: Brewers reliever Jim Henderson blew a save last night and earned the loss in his previous appearance, but Milwaukee manager Ron Roenicke said Thursday that "he wouldn't hesitate" to use Henderson tonight in a save situation.
Insight: With John Axford and Francisco Rodriguez both melting down in the past few weeks, the Brewers are looking for stability at the back end of the bullpen and they haven't found it in Henderson. Fantasy owners should steer clear of this situation.

    8/8/2012 8:32:00 PM
Description: Brewers reliever Jim Henderson has handled and converted a save chance in each of Milwaukee's last two games.
Insight: The team has been looking for stability at the back end of the bullpen for several weeks after John Axford and Francisco Rodriguez handed over several leads. Henderson has stepped up the last two days and will likely handle closing duties until he too melts down.
