Description: Giants catcher Buster Posey was 2-for-4 with an RBI in the, 6-2, victory over the Dodgers on Tuesday.
Insight: Posey seems to be getting two hits in every other game. Following that current pattern, he isn't a good play on Wednesday. He is hitting .250 with two home runs and seven RBI in 52 at-bats this season.

    4/19/2015 9:00:00 PM
Description: Giants catcher Buster Posey went 0-for-4 in the loss to the Diamondbacks on Sunday.
Insight: Posey and the defending champions are struggling right now. Posey is hitting .229 with two home runs and six RBI while the Giants are 4-10 to start the year. Based on past history, fans and fantasy owners should not count out either San Francisco or their best player.

    4/14/2015 6:45:00 PM
Description: Giants catcher Buster Posey will get the night off on Tuesday against the Rockies. UPDATE: Posey is dealing with a right trapezuis muscle according to Giants reporter Andrew Baggarly.
Insight: It was originally though that Posey was just getting the night off, but he is dealing with tightness in his traps. Consider Posey day-to-day.

    4/14/2015 6:14:00 PM
Description: Giants catcher Buster Posey will get the night off on Tuesday against the Rockies.
Insight: It's just a normal day of rest. Posey is batting .250/.352/.464 in 34 plate appearances this season.

    4/12/2015 7:37:00 PM
Description: Giants catcher Buster Posey hit a home run duriing Sunday's loss versus San Diego.
Insight: Posey went 1-for-3 with the homer. He now has two on the year, and is hitting .292 through the first week.

    4/9/2015 10:23:00 AM
Description: Giants catcher Buster Posey is a career .417 hitter (15-for-36) against Padres starter Ian Kennedy.
Insight: Posey is an elite fantasy catcher in a favorable matchup. Despite a solid 2014, fantasy owners are looking for him to regain his 2012 form (.336, 24 HR, 103 RBI).

    4/8/2015 9:19:00 AM
Description: Giants catcher Buster Posey showed on Tuesday why he is the top option at catcher this season.
Insight: Posey was 3-for-3 with a two-run homer in the first inning versus the Diamondbacks. He also reached on a walk. It was a nice game after going 0-for-4 on Opening Day.

    4/6/2015 10:50:00 AM
Description: Giants catcher Buster Posey is a stunning 11-for-18 (.611) with three homers and eight RBI against Arizona starter Josh Collmenter.
Insight: Collmenter would probably be better off just to walk him. Posey is the fantasy catcher by which all other catchers are measured. He batted .311 last season with 22 HR and 89 RBI.

    10/29/2014 9:27:00 AM
Description: Giants catcher Buster Posey continues to struggle in the 2014 World Series.
Insight: Posey hit with the bases loaded and one out in the third inning. San Francisco had just allowed Kansas City to score seven runs in the second, so any kind of run would have meant a slight swing in momentum. Instead, Posey grounded into a double play to end the inning. Posey is batting just .190 since the start of the NLCS and doesn't have an extra base hit the entire postseason.

    10/25/2014 9:41:00 AM
Description: Giants catcher Buster Posey was 0-for-4 with an RBI in Game 3 of the World Series.
Insight: Posey did have an RBI-groundout in the sixth. The Giants were down two at the time with two runners in scoring position and one out, so the catcher was likely hoping for more. San Francisco lost, 3-2, and now trail in the series.

    10/22/2014 11:01:00 AM
Description: Giants catcher Buster Posey will be facing Royals' starter Yordano Ventura for the first time on Wednesday night.
Insight: Actually, no player on San Francisco's roster has an at-bat against Ventura, so it will be intriguing to see what side gets the advantage in Game 2 of the World Series.

    10/12/2014 11:00:00 AM
Description: Giants catcher Buster Posey is 4-for-6 lifetime against Cardinals' starter Lance Lynn.
Insight: The most at-bats a Giants' player has against Lynn, is Hunter Pence with nine. Posey has had success in limited at-bats, as he has one homer and four RBI against St Louis' Game 2 starter. Posey is a strong daily play.

    10/11/2014 9:59:00 AM
Description: Giants catcher Buster Posey is just 2-for-11 (.182) versus Cardinals starter Adam Wainwright.
Insight: Posey may not have good numbers against Wainwright, but he had a terrific September and was 9-for-23 (.391) in the NLDS against Washington.

    10/5/2014 12:18:00 AM
Description: Giants catcher Buster Posey went 3-for-6 in a marathon playoff game on Saturday.
Insight: Posey had a single in the top of the ninth with two outs, a man on first and the Giants trailing 1-0. Pablo Sandoval then hit a single to score the tying run. Posey also tried to score, but Nationals shortstop Ian Desmond threw him out on a close play at the plate. The Giants won on a home run in the 18th inning. Posey is batting .400 in the series so far.

    10/3/2014 7:09:00 PM
Description: Giants catcher Buster Posey knocks in winning RBI Friday.
Insight: He made it 3-0 on an infield RBI single, but with the Ginats winning the game 3-2, it obviously proved to be a major hit. Posey finished the game 1-for-4.

    9/28/2014 6:54:00 PM
Description: Giants catcher Buster Posey belted his 22nd homer Sunday.
Insight: He was 1-for-2 before getting the rest of the afternoon off. Posey finishes off 2014 slashing .311/.364/.490 with 89 RBI. There is a fine chance he takes hom NL MVP honors.

    Hot9/26/2014 8:18:00 PM
Description: Giants catcher Buster Posey underwent an MRI on his back Friday according to Andrew Baggarly of Comcast SportsNet Bay Area.
Insight: Posey has been dealing with soreness in his back recently, so the MRI was just precautionary. It came back negative, but Posey will still have Friday off to rest for October.

    Hot9/26/2014 11:24:00 AM
Description: Giants catcher Buster Posey is 15-for-36 (.417) against Padres right-hander Ian Kennedy.
Insight: Posey should be able to continue his monster September with another favorable matchup. In this month, Posey is hitting .390 with three home runs, 16 RBI and a 1.008 OPS.

    Hot9/25/2014 10:53:00 AM
Description: Giants catcher Buster Posey is 7-for-15 (.467) including two home runs and three RBI against Padres starter Andrew Cashner.
Insight: Posey should be able to continue his incredible September with this matchup. In this month, Posey is hitting .375/.416/.550 with three home runs and 15 RBI. He has entered the MVP race with .308 batting average, 21 home runs and 86 RBI this season.

    Hot9/21/2014 10:09:00 AM
Description: Giants catcher Buster Posey is 14-for-33 (.424) with three RBI against Padres starter Ian Kennedy.
Insight: As a surprise to most, not due to his talent but because of the position he plays, Posey has not slowed down at all in Septemeber. Posey is batting .413/.451/.635 with three home runs and 15 RBI this month. The catcher should again be in your lineup on Sunday.
