Description: Angels closer Huston Street suffers loss Sunday.
Insight: It is just a small hiccup in a stellar season. Street gave up the go-ahead run in the ninth, as he fell to 1-2. He still has 39 saves on the season, and is an elite fantasy option.

    9/20/2014 9:24:00 AM
Description: Angels closer Huston Street shut the door for his 39th save of 2014.
Insight: He has been fantastic all season. Street now has 15 saves pitching for the Angels, and a 1.26 ERA combined between with his time in San Diego and Los Angeles. He is an underrated fantasy closer, who pitches at an elite level.

    9/11/2014 12:22:00 PM
Description: Angels closer Huston Street (hamstring) was not available to pitch on Wednesday according to the Orange County Register.
Insight: Street said he could have pitched Wednesday and probably be fine but manager Mike Scioscia was playing it safe. With the lead the Angels have over the Athletics for the division, who can blame him? Street expects to pitch on Friday.

    8/17/2014 7:30:00 PM
Description: Los Angeles closer Huston Street blew his first save as a member of the Angels after saving his first nine games.
Insight: Street has actually been great all season and it's just his second blown save versus 33 successes. His ERA, after giving up two runs Sunday, is still a miniscule 1.20.

    Hot7/18/2014 6:09:00 PM
Description: According to Jim Bowden of ESPN and SiriusXM, the Padres are close to finalizing a trade that will send closer Huston Street to the Angels.
Insight: Street has recorded a 1.09 ERA, a 0.76 WHIP and 24 saves in 25 chances this season. Joe Smith has thrown 10 innings in a row without giving up a hit and 11 1/3 without allowing a run, but he's likely to move back to a set-up role.

    Hot5/14/2014 6:17:00 PM
Description: Padres closer Huston Street has given up one run in 17 innings this season (0.53 ERA).
Insight: Street has gone 12-for-12 in save chances with 19 strikeouts and a 0.82 WHIP.

    3/13/2014 5:15:00 PM
Description: Padres closer Huston Street (groin) will pitch in a game for the first time this spring on Saturday, according to Jeff Sanders of the Union-Tribune. Street has been dealing with a minor groin strain.
Insight: Manager Bud Black hasn't decided whether it will be a minor league game or a Cactus League one. Street had 33 saves, a 2.70 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP in 56 2/3 innings last season, but he has made at least one DL stint in each of the last four seasons.

    3/3/2014 7:29:00 PM
Description: Padres closer Huston Street is dealing with a slight groin pull that isn't considered serious, according to Corey Brock of mlb.com, but he won't pitch this week.
Insight: Street had 33 saves, a 2.70 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP in 56 2/3 innings last season. He has had at least one DL stint in each of the last four seasons.

    9/16/2013 12:28:00 PM
Description: San Diego reliever Huston Street will miss Monday's game against Pittsburgh to attend the funeral of his grandmother.
Insight: Street is 2-4 with a 2.61 ERA, .0968 WHIP and 30 saves. Luke Gregerson should get the first shot at any save opportunities.

    6/14/2013 7:39:00 PM
Description: San Diego reliever Huston Street has returned from the disabled list.
Insight: He missed two weeks with a strained left calf. Interim closer Luke Gregorson (4-2, 2.01 ERA) will return to a setup role now that Street (0-3, 4.43, 11-for-12 in save chances) is back to pitch the ninth inning.

    6/1/2013 7:59:00 PM
Description: Padres closer Huston Street has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left calf.
Insight: Luke Gregerson will serve as the primary closer. Street is usually good for one or two DL stints per season, so this shouldn't be a surprise to fantasy owners. The right-hander has 11 saves this year, but his ERA is 4.43.

    9/20/2012 9:43:00 PM
Description: According to Corey Brock of MLB.com, Padres closer Huston Street will be activated in time for Friday's game with the Giants.
Insight: Street was on track to come off the DL at the start of September but he felt discomfort in his calf and had to be scratched from a rehab appearance. Nearly three weeks later, he'll try again.

    9/18/2012 9:15:00 PM
Description: According to Corey Brock of MLB.com, Padres manager Bud Black said Huston Street could be activated as early as Wednesday. The San Diego closer hasn't pitched since Aug. 10 due to a strained left calf.
Insight: Street was on track to come off the DL at the start of September but he felt discomfort in his calf and had to be scratched from a rehab appearance. Nearly three weeks later, he'll try again.

    8/30/2012 10:05:00 AM
Description: Injured closer Huston Street is expected to make his return to the major leagues on Sunday. The Padres reliever has been out since August 10th with a strained left calf.
Insight: The bullpen duo of Dale Thayer and Luke Gregorson won't hold much fantasy value upon Street's return from injury.

    8/16/2012 10:30:00 AM
Description: The Padres aren't expecting injured closer Huston Street to be back with the team until September. Street was placed on the DL earlier in the week because of a strained left calf.
Insight: Interim closer Dale Thayer (3.51 ERA) should be a useful fantasy option while Street (0.75 ERA, 21-for-21 in save opportunities) is out.

    8/11/2012 9:23:00 PM
Description: San Diego closer Huston Street has been placed on the disabled list with a strained calf.
Insight: Street (0.75 ERA, 21-for-21 in save chances) had been on an incredible run for the Padres, holding his opponents scoreless in each of his last 22 appearances. Look for Dale Thayer (3.60) to take over the closer's role while Street is sidelined.

    7/29/2012 3:54:00 PM
Description: Closer Huston Street and the Padres have agreed to a two-year, $14 million contract extension.
Insight: Street, who appeared in his first All-Star game earlier in the month, has been dominant in his first season in San Diego (17-for-17 in save opportunities, 0.91 ERA in 29.2 innings). The Padres aren't known for giving out huge contracts but this marks the second big signing they've made in the last week as the team also inked outfielder Carlos Quentin (.270, 9 HRs, 23 RBIs) to a new deal last Sunday.

    6/3/2012 3:23:00 PM
Description: Huston Street expects to be activated from the DL on Tuesday. Street has been out with a lat injury since early May.
Insight: Street (0.93) should regain the closer's role upon his return with Dale Thayer (5.40) heading back to his old position as the team's setup man.

    5/5/2012 5:57:00 PM
Description: Huston Street has been placed on the 15-day DL with a right lat strain.
Insight: Street has pitched well this season (0.93) but San Diego's poor play hasn't given him many opportunities to pick up saves. Expect Andrew Cashner (2.08) to get the call in the ninth inning while Street is on the sidelines.

    5/5/2012 10:25:00 AM
Description: Padres closer Huston Street left Friday's game with a right lat strain, according to Dan Hayes of the North County Times.
Insight: When Street initially left the game, it was believed that he had a shoulder injury, so this is somewhat positive news. However, Street may still have to go on the disabled list. Padres manager Bud Black has already ruled his closer out for Saturday. Andrew Cashner would likely close if Street had to miss time.
