Description: Indians SP Mitch Talbot, 1-0 with a 1.46 ERA in two starts, will not throw for seven days and is expected to miss 3-4 weeks. SOURCE: Cleveland Plain Dealer
Insight: If you read the article it is a bit scary. The MRI was supposedly negative yet the words "ulnar collateral ligament" and "strain" were used. This is the secon time Talbot has had UCL issues which means he is a very risky play upon his return.

    3/25/2011 5:47:00 PM
Description: Mitch Talbot allowed seven runs on 14 hits today.
Insight: He is going to start the season in the rotation but doesn't offer enough potential or production to be useful in any fantasy leagues.

    3/7/2011 8:02:00 PM
Description: Mitch Talbot gave up nine earned runs in 1 2/3 innings today.
Insight: This follows up a poor start from Jeanmar Gomez yesterday. It is going to be tough for Cleveland to find suitable arms for the back end of their rotation. Fantasy owners should avoid those players altogether.

Description: Indians SP Mitch Talbot threw 7 shutout innings against the Tigers, giving up 5 hits while striking out 5.
Insight: For 2011, Talbot should be considered as a match-ups play in AL-only leagues.

    9/21/2010 2:01:00 PM
Description: MLB.com reports Talbot (shoulder) threw a successful bullpen session on Monday.
Insight: Talbot has been sidelined with shoulder inflammation since September 12, and is aiming to return to the Indians' starting rotation on Thursday against the Royals. (RapidDraft.com)

    9/13/2010 3:04:00 PM
Description: Indians.com reports Talbot (shoulder) is day-to-day with shoulder inflammation after leaving his start on Sunday after just 14 pitches.
Insight: Talbot will undergo an MRI on Monday, which should shed more light on his status going forward. (RapidDraft.com)

    8/26/2010
Description: Talbot allowed six runs over six innings against Oakland on Wednesday night.
Insight: Talbot dropped to 8-11 with a 4.44 ERA this season. (SportsBuff.com)

    8/9/2010 10:21:00 AM
Description: The Akron Beacon Journal reports Talbot (back) could rejoin the Indians' rotation this weekend if his rehab start on Monday goes well.
Insight: Talbot is 8-9 with a 4.09 ERA this season. David Huff or Jeanmar Gomez stand to lose their spot in the Indians' starting rotation upon his return. (SportsBuff.com)

    7/29/2010 10:23:00 PM
Description: According to the Indians' Twitter feed, Talbot (back) has been diagnosed with a mid-back strain.
Insight: Talbot left his start Thursday against the Yankees after two innings. He should be considered day-to-day right now. (SportsBuff.com)

    7/29/2010 8:13:00 PM

Insight: No further news was available, so stay tuned.

    7/8/2010 1:05:00 AM
Description: Talbot allowed four runs on seven hits over 5.2 innings on Wednesday night against the Rangers.
Insight: Talbot took a loss, and is now 8-8 with a 3.99 ERA this season. (SportsBuff.com)

    6/28/2010 11:01:00 AM
Description: Talbot allowed one run on three hits over seven innings against the Reds on Sunday.

    6/23/2010 10:40:00 AM
Description: Talbot allowed two runs on four hits over seven innings against Philadelphia on Tuesday night.
Insight: Talbot took the loss as Jamie Moyer shut down the Indians. He is now 7-6 with a 4.08 ERA this season, and will face the Reds in his next outing. (SportsBuff.com)

    5/31/2010 6:34:00 PM
Description: Talbot allowed three runs on nine hits over 6.1 innings against the Yankees on Monday.
Insight: Talbot pitched effectively, and the Indians bullpen allowed the score to get out of hand. He is now 6-4 with a 3.78 ERA this season. (SportsBuff.com)

    5/25/2010 11:41:00 PM
Description: Talbot allowed two runs on six hits over seven innings against the White Sox on Tuesday night.
Insight: Talbot is now 6-3 with a 3.73 ERA this season, but a 24/24 K/BB ratio his margin for error is not high. Expect a correction if you own him in an AL-only league. (SportsBuff.com)

    5/10/2010 11:21:00 AM
Description: Talbot allowed four runs on six hits over five innings against Detroit on Sunday.
Insight: Talbot is now 4-2 with a 3.43 ERA this season, but has just 16 strikeouts along with 19 walks over 39.1 innings. Expect his ERA to continue to rise. (SportsBuff.com)

    4/28/2010 10:53:00 AM
Description: Talbot allowed one run on six hits over 6.1 innings against the Angels on Tuesday night.
Insight: Talbot is now 3-1 with a 2.05 ERA this season, but has just seven strikeouts over his 26.1 innings. He'll get two starts next week, against Toronto and Detroit. (SportsBuff.com)

    4/22/2010 11:39:00 PM
Description: Talbot allowed one run on two hits over six innings against the Twins on Thursday.
Insight: Talbot has now pitched well in each of his last two starts, and is 2-1 with a 2.25 ERA this season. He could be worth considering in AL-only leagues. (SportsBuff.com)

    3/31/2010 10:27:00 AM
Description: Talbot allowed seven runs (six earned) over 5.2 innings on Tuesday against the Royals.
Insight: Talbot has been named the Indians' No. 4 starter, and could be a name to watch in AL-only leagues. (SportsBuff.com)

    3/15/2010 8:20:00 PM
Description: Talbot threw three perfect innings on Monday against the Brewers.
Insight: Talbot has allowed just one run on four hits in eight spring innings. He is in the mix for a rotation spot, but he seems likely to make the team regardless of his role. (SportsBuff.com)
