Description: Athletics center fielder Coco Crisp is not in Saturday's starting lineup.
Insight: The oft-injured outfielder hurt his shoulder running into the wall Friday night and will head back to the bench. He's batting .254 with 9 HR, 45 RBI and 61 runs scored, but he's been in and out of the lineup in the second half due to inuries. Sam Fuld will leadoff and Craig Gentry will cover center field.

Description: Yankees center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury is not in the starting lineup on Saturday.
Insight: Ellsbury was limping around in the clubhouse on Friday night after injuring his left ankle while sliding into home plate in the ninth. The Yankees have off on Monday, so it's possible manager Joe Giradi will be extremely cautious and sit him on Sunday as well, so Ellsbury gets three straight days of rest.
Description: Indians center fielder Michael Bourn is hitting .348 (8-for-23) in his career against Royals starter James Shields.
Insight: Bourn had his five-game hitting streak snapped on Friday, going 0-for-5. Even with the 0-for-5, Bourn is hitting .333 in the last week with three extra-base hits. On the season, he is batting .268 with three home runs and 25 RBI in 332 at-bats.
Description: Pirates outfielder Andrew McCutchen is a career .250 hitter (4-for-16) with a home run against Reds starter Alfredo Simon.
Insight: McCutchen looked frustrated on Friday night, popping up a couple times with runners on base. The MVP did register a bloop single to go 1-for-4. It's pretty clear that McCutchen is still not completely healthy with his ribs, but he is in the lineup, and he should be in yours too.
Description: Cuban outfielder Rusney Castillo will make his professional debut with the Gulf Coast League Red Sox on Sunday according to the Providence Journal.

Description: Red Sox center fielder Mookie Betts hit a grand slam to lead Boston over Tampa Bay, 8-4, on Friday.

Description: Marlins outfielder Marcell Ozuna went 3-for-4 with a double and RBI against the Braves on Friday.
Insight: Ozuna has cooled off since four straight multi-hit games, which included three straight contests with a home run, last week, but he was feeling it on Friday. The outfielder is one of the most streaky hitters around, so this has almost become expected. He has seven multi-hit games this month but is hitting .227.

Insight: The big night gives Upton a new career-high for RBI in a season. The left fielder has 91 with still a month left to go. He is also hitting .288 with 26 home runs, 30 doubles, 70 runs and seven stolen bases.

Description: Orioles 1B/OF Steve Pearce left Friday's game against the Twins in the third inning with a right abdominal strain.
Insight: Roch Kubatko of MASN speculated that Pearce hurt something while going into the stands to catch a foul ball in the second inning. If that's the case, Pearce should be able to return sometime this weekend.
Description: Pirates right fielder Travis Snider left Wednesday's game against the Cardinals with an apparent leg injury and is not in Friday's starting lineup.
Insight: Snider tweaked something after beating out a bunt single in the third inning. Jose Tabata will start in right field. Tabata is batting .283, but without much power as his .645 OPS will attest.
Description: Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig is just 1-for-11 with four strikeouts against Padres starter Andrew Cashner.
Insight: Puig is hitting .301/.388/.495 with 13 home runs and 59 RBI and 71 runs this year. He's hitless in his last three games (0-for-14) and this unfavorable matchup doesn't figure to help those numbers.
Description: In a matchup of All-Stars, Oakland left-hander Jon Lester has gotten the best of Angels center fielder Mike Trout.
Insight: Trout is 0-for-6 with three strikeouts in their matchups. Trout is just starting to break out of a slump, going 6-for-12 over the past three games. Hopefully, Lester won't slow the progress, but Trout isn't a great option Friday.
Description: Miami right fielder Giancarlo Stanton Napoli is just 1-for-10 with six strikeouts against Braves starter Ervin Santana.
Insight: Stanton has to be considered for MVP as he leads the NL with 33 homers, 97 RBI, walks (87), OBP (.403), SLG (.558), OPS (.961) and total bases 273. Having said all that this isn't a great matchup for the slugger.
Description: Blue Jays right fielder Jose Bautista is a career .368 hitter with four extra-base hits versus Yankees starter Chris Capuano.
Insight: Bautista's batting average is down since the All-Star break, but he's still leadling the league in OBP and his .890 OPS should keep fantasy owners happy. He's just 2-for-19 this week, but both hits were home runs.
Description: Cincinnati center fielder Billy Hamilton went 2-for-2 with a double and his 51st steal of the season Thursday against the Cubs.
Insight: Fantasy owners were a bit scared back in March that Hamilton would be able to hit enough to make his speed worthwhile. That hasn't turned out to be a problem. He's batting .267 with 25 doubles, seven triples, six homers and 69 runs scored in addition to the steals.
Description: Mariners outfielder Chris Denorfia is questionable for Friday's game against Washington due to a stiff neck.
Insight: Denorfia (.242, 1 HR, 19 RBI) doesn't get many plays by fantasy owners. His one redeeming fantasy value is that he's one of the few guy who can actually hit Clayton Kershaw. Since the Mariners aren't facing the Dodgers, this injury doesn't mean much.
Description: Detroit right fielder Torii Hunter is not in Thursday's starting lineup.
Insight: No injury, just a matchup problem. Hunter is 0-for-10 against Yankees right-hander Hiroki Kuroda. Hunter has four consecutive multi-hit games to raise his average to .278 with 15 HR and 71 RBI.

Description: Dodgers left fielder Carl Crawford is not in the lineup Wednesday at Arizona.
Insight: Crawford is batting .338 with 14 runs and seven steals in August, but he'll get a day off with lefty Wade Miley on the mound. Scott Van Slyke, who has eight doubles, seven homers and 17 walks in 102 plate appearances against lefties this season, is starting in left field.
Description: Cuban outfielder Jorge Soler will make his major league debut on Wednesday, batting fifth in the Cubs lineup.
Insight: Soler batted .340 with a .432 on-base percentage, 15 home runs, and 57 RBI at Double-A and Triple-A this year. The outfielder signed a nine-year, $30 million deal in 2012 after defecting from Cuba.

He's hitting .343 with 13 doubles, two triples and three homers against southpaws and .245 with 10 doubles, four homers and 25 RBI against righties. Insight: He now has four homers against Hudson in his career. He went 2-for-4 on the night and has gone 8-for-19 with two doubles, a homer, four RBI, four walks and five runs in his last six games after sitting out five straight with a shoulder injury. His homer Friday was his first since July 13.
Description: Indians left fielder Zach Walters homered for the third straight game and the fifth time in his last nine Friday against Houston.
Insight: Walters, acquired from the Nationals at the trade deadline for Asdrubal Cabrera, has hit .213 on the season, but he has eight home runs in 75 at-bats. He hit .310 with 17 homers and a .980 OPS in Triple-A this season.
Description: Rays right fielder Wil Myers went 1-for-3 with a solo homer, two walks, two runs and a steal Friday at Toronto.
Insight: Myers missed nearly three months with a fractured wrist before returning on Aug. 20 and he went 0-for-6 with four Ks in his first two games back in the lineup. It's been a rough second year for the 2013 AL Rookie of the Year -- he's hit .222 with six homers, 26 RBI and a .668 OPS in 207 at-bats.
Description: The Red Sox have agreed to a seven-year, $72.5 million contract with Cuban outfielder Rusney Castillo, according to WEEI.com.
Insight: Castillo's deal is the largest ever given to a Cuban defector, besting Jose Abreu's six-year, $68 million contract. There's a chance the 27-year-old Castillo will get a shot in the majors this season.
Description: Dodgers left fielder Carl Crawford is out of the lineup Friday against the Mets.
Insight: Crawford has batted .338 with six steals and 11 runs in August, but the team will give him a day off with left-hander Jon Niese on the hill for New York. Lefty masher Scott Van Slyke is in the lineup in Crawford's place.
Description: Athletics outfielder Josh Reddick is not in the lineup Friday against the Angels.
Insight: With lefty Hector Santiago starting for Los Angeles, Reddick will take a seat. He's gone 29-for-96 (.302) with eight doubles, a triple, five homers, 13 RBI and just six strikeouts since he returned from the disabled list on July 22.
Description: Oakland C/1B/OF Stephen Vogt is not in the lineup Friday against the Angels.
Insight: Left-hander Hector Santiago is starting against them, so the A's have Jonny Gomes, Nate Freiman, Sam Fuld and Craig Gentry starting in place of John Jaso, Brandon Moss, Josh Reddick and Vogt. Vogt has gone 14-for-40 (.350) with a double, three homers and eight RBI over his last 11 games and is hitting .322 with an .852 OPS on the year.
Description: Pirates outfielder Gregory Polanco is out of the starting lineup for the third straight game Friday.
Insight: Andrew McCutchen returned from the disabled list on Tuesday and the Pirates opted to keep Travis Snider in the lineup rather than Polanco, who has gone 1-for-27 (.037) with eight Ks over his last seven games. Snider has gone 17-for-37 (.459) with six doubles, three homers, seven RBI and a 1.365 OPS over his last 10 games.
Description: Rockies right fielder Michael Cuddyer (hamstring) is not expected to return to the lineup until Sunday, according to Nick Groke of the Denver Post.
Insight: Cuddyer was hoping to return Friday, but the team will give him a few more days. "I'm NOT going on the DL. You can put that in bold letters," he said. Cuddyer missed more than two months with a fractured shoulder before returning on Aug. 17. He went 5-for-10, hit for the cycle and scored two runs during a doubleheader on that day but hasn't played since due to his hamstring injury.
Description: Pirates outfielder Andrew McCutchen is a career .306 hitter (15-for-49) with seven extra-base hits including three home runs and seven RBI against Brewers starter Yovani Gallardo. McCutchen also has five stolen bases off Gallardo.
Insight: McCutchen has gone hitless in two games since his return from the rib fracture. This is by far the biggest series of the season for the slipping Pirates. Expect the MVP to show up.
Description: Cardinals center fielder Jon Jay is batting .400 (6-for-15) against Phillies starter Kyle Kendrick.
Insight: Jay extended his hitting streak to 12 games on Wednesday with a 3-for-4 performance against the Reds. During the streak, Jay is batting .514 (18-for-35). It would be wise to ride out his hot streak.
Description: Milwaukee center fielder Carlos Gomez is a career 5-for-11 (.455) hitter with a double, home run and four RBI against Pirates starter Jeff Locke.
Insight: Gomez has hit very well in his last five games, going 6-for-14 (.429) with two doubles, three home runs and four RBI. The all-star center fielder has been a top-10 fantasy asset all season with a statline of .287, 21 home runs, 64 RBI, 82 runs, and 27 steals.
Description: Braves left fielder Justin Upton is a career .429 hitter against Reds starter Mat Latos.
Insight: Upton continues to swing a hot bat as he went 2-for-3 with two RBI in the series opener against the Reds on Thursday. Upton has now hit safely in 11 straight games and blasted five home runs with 19 RBI in his last 13 games.
Description: Detroit right fielder Torii Hunter is a career 4-for-10 hitter with a home run against Twins starter Tommy Milone.
Insight: Hunter has been struggling in August with just 14 hits in 67 at-bats (.209). Hunter is hitting .269 with 15 home runs and 65 RBI this year. Perhaps the 39-year-old can get on track against the Twins.
Description: Nationals center fielder Denard Span struggles against Giants starter Tim Hudson, hitting 2-for-17 (.118) against the right-hander in his career.
Insight: Span has, however, been on fire recently. He bounced back from his 0-for-4 on Wednesday, going 2-for-3 on Thursday and scoring the lone run of the game as Washington walked off with a victory for the fifth time in six days. Despite the career troubles Span has against Hudson, it might be tough to sit him. Since June 17, he has gone 78-for-231 (.338) including 65-for-178 (.365) since July 1 and 52-for-134 (.388) since the All-Star break to raise his average to .302.
Description: Nationals right fielder Jayson Werth is a career 15-for-41 (.366) hitter with four doubles, three home runs and 11 RBI against Giants starter Tim Hudson.
Insight: Werth has hits in his last four games and sees the ball very well off of Hudson, the Giants probable Friday starter. The outfielder is batting .302 with nine doubles and 12 RBI since the All-Star break but has been lacking in the long ball department as he hasn't gone deep since July 13.
Description: Yankees center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury is a career 6-for-14 (.429) hitter against White Sox pitcher John Danks.
Insight: Ellsbury has a modest three-game hitting streak, but during that stretch, has six singles, two RBI, a run and three stolen bases. In his last two games, Ellsbury is 5-for-9. He has a good chance of keeping it going against Danks on Friday.
Description: Red Sox outfielder Yoenis Cespedes left Thursday's game after one at-bat due to a family medical emergency.
Insight: He could return as soon as Friday, but we have no accurate information as of yet. The outfielder was 2-for-11 in the four-game set with the Angels and hasn't done much since being traded to the Red Sox.
Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout has batted just .174 (8-for-46) over the past two weeks (11 games).
Insight: Fantasy owners are probably getting a little frustrated, but looking at the big picture shows he's still a fantasy stud. He's batting .288 with 27 HR, 89 RBI, 84 runs scored, 12 SB and a .930 OPS. Still, for fantasy owners it's what have you done for me lately?
Description: Red Sox activated outfielder Allen Craig from the 15-day disabled list.
Insight: Craig will serve as the designated hitter in Thursday's series finale against the Angels. David Ortiz will take the day off. Boston will likely work Craig back into the lineup slowly due to his injury setbacks over the last year.
Description: Yankees right fielder Carlos Beltran aggravated his right elbow injury on a swing Tuesday, missed Wednesday and won't play in Thursday's game against Houston, according to manager Joe Girardi.
Insight: He's gone 1-for-28 (.036) in his last eight games to lower his season batting average to .233 with a .707 OPS and with word of this injury can probably be safely dropped in all leagues.
Description: White Sox right fielder Avisail Garcia has gone 5-for-16 with two doubles, a homer and six RBI in five games since he returned from the disabled list.
Insight: The 23-year-old missed nearly four months due to a torn labrum after initially being ruled out for the season. Garcia is hitting .283 with three homers, 10 RBI and an .868 OPS in 46 at-bats this season.
Description: Rockies right fielder Michael Cuddyer (hamstring) says he should be able to start Friday, according to Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post.
Insight: Cuddyer missed three months with a fractured shoulder before returning on Aug. 17, when he went 5-for-10 during a doubleheader and hit for the cycle in the second game. He's out of the starting lineup for a second straight game due to a hamstring injury but says he's available off the bench.
Description: Rays right fielder Wil Myers (wrist) has been activated from the 60-day disabled list.
Insight: Myers fractured his right wrist on May 30 when he collided with Desmond Jennings. Prior to the injury, the 2013 AL Rookie of the Year hit .227 with five homers, 25 RBI and 52 Ks in 198 at-bats.
Description: Yankees right fielder Carlos Beltran aggravated his right elbow injury on a swing Tuesday and is out of the lineup Wednesday, according to Bryan Hoch of mlb.com.
Insight: Beltran exclusively served as the DH from June 5 to Aug. 15 due to bone spurs in his elbow before returning to right field on Aug. 16. He's gone 1-for-28 (.036) in his last eight games and can be dropped in all leagues.
Description: Brewers outfielder Khris Davis is not in the lineup Wednesday.
Insight: When the team acquired Gerardo Parra at the trade deadline, it looked like Davis would only be playing against lefties from then on, but he's had a productive month (.271, 5 2B, 3 HR, 9 RBI, .896 OPS) to keep himself in the starting lineup for 10 straight games prior to Wednesday.
Description: Dodgers left fielder Carl Crawford went 3-for-3 with a homer, three RBI, a walk, three runs and a stolen base Tuesday against San Diego.
Insight: Crawford has stolen a base in five of his last six games and is hitting .344 in August. He's 5-for-10 (.500) with a triple and a homer against Padres starter Eric Stults, so get him in your lineup Wednesday.
Description: Reds right fielder Jay Bruce hasn't been able to get into any sort of groove this season, but he's homered in two of his last four games and is 9-for-19 (.474) with a double, two triples and two homers against Cardinals starter Lance Lynn.
Insight: Bruce is hitting .221 with a .686 OPS, 14 homers, 55 RBI, 61 runs and 11 steals this season. At this point he's strictly a player to use in matchups like the one he has Wednesday.
Description: Angels left fielder Josh Hamilton went 0-for-3 in his return to the lineup Tuesday at Boston and he's just 2-for-22 (.091) with six Ks against Wednesday's starter Clay Buchholz.
Insight: Hamilton has gone 5-for-41 (.122) with 18 strikeouts in his last 11 games and he was out of the lineup Sunday and Monday at his own request in order to clear his head. He's not someone fantasy owners should be using right now even if he has a favorable matchup, which isn't the case Wednesday.
Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout is 6-for-13 with two homers against Boston starter Clay Buchholz.
Insight: Trout has gone 4-for-11 with a double, a triple and two RBI over his last three games after running into a 4-for-37 (.108) slump prior to that. His strikeout rate is up from 19 percent last year to 24.8 percent this season which has contributed to his average dropping from .323 to .291. However, he's put up a much higher extra-base hit rate (12.2 percent in 2014, 10.5 percent in 2013) and is going to drive in more runs than he did in each of his first two seasons. He's a strong choice Wednesday against Buchholz.
Description: Angels left fielder Josh Hamilton is back in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Red Sox. He will hit cleanup.
Insight: Hamilton had requested time off because of his struggles at the plate and manager Mike Scioscia gave him the time. The outfielder is hitting .132 in his last ten games and has gone 10-for-59 (.169) since July 31.
Description: Pirates outfielder Andrew McCutchen (rib) has been activated and is in Tuesday's starting lineup, playing his customary center field and batting third.
Insight: McCutchen has been out since Aug. 3 due to an avulsion fracture of his rib. The Pirates and fantasy owners desperately need his bat back in the lineup (.311, 17 HR, 67 RBI, 64 runs, 17 SB). Gregory Polanco is not in the lineup.
Description: Toronto minor league outfielder Kevin Pillar is hitting .327 in 391 at-bats this season at Triple-A Buffalo. In his last ten games, he is 14-for-39 (.359).
Insight: It seems unlikely that Pillar will be a September call up this year unless Toronto further falls out of playoff contention. Outfielders Melky Cabrera and Colby Rasmus will both be free agents at season's end, so Pillar will likely get his major league chance next season. It might make sense to let Cabrera leave via free agency since he plays the same position as Pillar, and Rasmus is a center fielder. Cabrera, however, is batting .316 while Rasmus is hitting .223.
Description: It is still a small sample size, but Orioles center fielder Adam Jones is hitting .556 with two home runs, three RBI and two walks in 11 plate appearances in his career against Chicago White Sox starter Jose Quintana.
Insight: Jones, however, is slumping in August, hitting just .224 with two home runs. This matchup could be just what the doctor ordered to get Jones in the groove again.
Description: Angels right fielder Kole Calhoun reached base all four times he came to the plate Monday at Boston.
Insight: Calhoun singled, doubled, walked twice and scored two runs. The right fielder and leadoff hitter has gone 17-for-41 (.415) with five doubles, two homers, eight RBI and five runs in his last nine games.
Description: Braves right fielder Jason Heyward went 3-for-4 with a homer and two RBI Monday at Pittsburgh.
Insight: Heyward came into the game six for his last 35 (.171). He's hit 268 with 32 extra-base hits (10 HR), 47 RBI, 60 runs and 14 steals this season. Heyward's .157 average in 115 at-bats against left-handers is really dragging him down.
Description: Twins outfield prospect Byron Buxton (concussion) isn't expected to play again this season.
Insight: Buxton, ranked as the first overall prospect in baseball by MLB.com and Baseball America, suffered a concussion when he collided with a teammate on Aug. 13. He also dealt with a wrist injury earlier this season and has played just 31 games. He's batted .240 with four homers, 16 RBI and six steals. The earliest we're likely to see the 20-year-old in the majors is late 2015.
Description: Cardinals left fielder Matt Holliday (knee) is in the lineup Monday.
Insight: Holliday sat out Sunday with knee discomfort. He's also gone 0-for-18 in his last five games, but his .393 average in 28 career at-bats against Reds starter Mike Leake makes him a solid option Monday.
Description: Nationals right fielder Jayson Werth is in the starting lineup on Monday night versus the Diamondbacks according to James Wagner of the Washington Post.
Insight: Werth did not start on Sunday against the Pirates, but entered in the ninth as a pitch hitter and wound up scoring both the tying run in the ninth and the game-winning run in the 11th. The Nationals have held the outfielder out of the lineup for eight of the last nine games due to right shoulder inflammation. Werth and the Nationals are facing Diamondbacks left-handed pitcher Vidal Nuno Monday night.
Description: Nationals right fielder Jayson Werth (shoulder inflammation) didn't start, but did get into the game as a pinch hitter and scored the game-winning run in the 11th inning. He'll return to the lineup Monday night.
Insight: Werth has struggled to match last season's totals and has dealt with injuries in August to further reduce his fantasy value. If healthy he can help over the final six weeks.
Description: Red Sox center fielder Jackie Bradley Jr. has been sent to the minors
Insight: Bradley has the glove to play in the majors, but we have yet to see a major-league or fantasy worthy performance at the plate. He's batting .216 this season with one home run, 22 extra-base hits, eight steals and a .578 OPS. Boston and fantasy owners need more from the outfield position.
Description: Rays right fielder Wil Myers (stress fracture in his right wrist) could return as soon as Tuesday but possibly not until Friday, according to a Tampa Tribune report.
Insight: Myers suffered the injury on May 30 when he collided with Desmond Jennings. The 23-year-old reigning AL Rookie of the Year has already taken 21 at-bats in his rehab assignment includinh a pair of home runs.
Description: Astros outfielder Alex Presley suffered a setback from his oblique injury over the weekend and will not play again for 7-10 days.
Insight: Presley has been out since July 8 with a strained right oblique. He was scratched last week from a rehab game for Class A Tri-City due to discomfort. Presley is batting .252 with five home runs and 13 RBI in 206 at-bats this season.
Description: Cubs outfield prospect Matt Szczur will get his first major league start Monday versus Bartolo Colon and the Mets.
Insight: Szczur got into Sunday's game as a pinch runner and grounded into a fielder's choice to second in the ninth inning. He's better known for his football acumen, helping Villanova win the 2009 FCS championship with 270 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns.
Description: Reds right fielder Jay Bruce is a career 2-for-14 (.143) against Cardinals right-hander Justin Masterson.
Insight: Bruce has been a disappointment to fantasy owners, batting just .221 with 13 HR and 51 RBI. Coming off three consecutive 30-home run seasons, and 109 RBI in 2013 a lot was expected to the Reds outfielder.
Description: Allen Craig will start his rehab assignment on Monday with Triple-A Pawtucket. The outfielder will likely spend two or three days with the minor league club.
Insight: Craig has been suffering from foot problems since late 2013 and until he proves he is healthy on the field, Craig does not hold much fantasy value. The outfielder is a career .291 hitter but is batting just .237 this season with St. Louis and Boston.
Description: Cardinals left fielder Matt Holliday missed Sunday's game and is questionable for Monday versus Cincinnati while dealing with knee discomfort.
Insight: He could also have been given the day off because he's hitless in his last five games. He's batting .260 with 12 HR and 59 RBI, well below what we've come to expect from the six-time All-Star.
Description: Orioles left fielder Nelson Cruz is a career .455 hitter (5-for-11) versus White Sox ace left-hander Chris Sale.
Insight: Cruz was a major force in the first half, but has struggled since the All-Star break, batting just .167 with three homers in 27 games. We're not sure he's ready to take advantage of the matchup.
Description: It didn't take long for Rockies right fielder Michael Cuddyer is find his swing.
Insight: Cuddyer had been out since June 6 due to a fractured shoulder, but hit for the cycle in Sunday's nightcap with a double in the eighth inning. He was 1-for-5 in the first game. He's not flashy, he's just a great hitter.
Description: After going hitless in the first two games of the series, Reds right fielder Jay Bruce exploded Sunday with three hits, including a home run and three RBI.
Insight: Bruce has been a disappointment to fantasy owners, batting just .224 with 13 HR and 50 RBI. Coming off three consecutive 30-home run seasons, and 109 RBI in 2013 a lot was expected to the Reds outfielder.
Description: After a long dry spell, Orioles 1B/OF Steve Pearce finally put one over the wall.
Insight: Pearce had gone 19 games without hitting a home run and batting an ugly .155 to boot. A far cry from his .309 May with four homers and .361 June with five homers. It's not yet time to jump back on the bandwagon, but at least we know he's trying.
Description: Mets right fielder Curtis Granderson is 9-for-22 (.409) with three home runs against Cubs starter Jake Arrieta.
Insight: Despite the favorable matchup you may still want to stay away as he's just 1-for-25 over the past six games to lower his batting average to .220 and has only one home run in the past 24 games.
Description: Oakland C/1B/OF Stephen Vogt has gone 11-for-30 with three homers and eight RBI over his last eight games.
Insight: Vogt was 0-for-21 from July 29 to Aug. 6, but he's bounced back nicely. He went 1-for-4 with a homer and two RBI Saturday against the Braves and is hitting .323 with eight dingers and 31 RBI in 198 at-bats.
Description: Rockies right fielder Michael Cuddyer has been activated from the 60-day disabled list.
Insight: Cuddyer has been out since June 6 due to a fractured shoulder. His return will force Charlie Blackmon, Corey Dickerson and Drew Stubbs to compete for playing time at the other two outfield spots.
Description: White Sox right fielder Avisail Garcia (torn labrum) has been activated from the 60-day disabled list.
Insight: Garcia was ruled out for the season in April when he suffered a torn labrum, but he's recovered from surgery more quickly than expected. Garcia is still just 23 years old and could be a decent AL-only option down the stretch.
Description: Carlos Beltran will play the field for the first time since May 10 on Saturday, according to Sweeny Murti of WFAN.
Insight: Beltran has been relegated to a DH role due to an elbow injury, but he's been feeling much better. He's gone 1-for-18 in his last five games, but moving back to right field could help him focus on something other than his hitting struggles. His return to the field will allow manager Joe Girardi to use the DH to get his veterans a half day off down the stretch.
Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout has gone 4-for-32 (.125) with 11 Ks the past three games.
Insight: Two of the hits were home runs and he drove in five runs during that stretch, but daily league players should consider other options Saturday. Trout is always one of the most expensive players and you can't afford to eat up a significant portion of your salary with a player who is on a bad run.
Description: Angels right fielder Kole Calhoun should receive strong consideration from fantasy owners Saturday against the Rangers.
Insight: Calhoun went 3-for-4 wih a double, a homer and three RBI Friday and is 13-for-29 (.448) with three doubles, two homers and five RBI his last six games. He's hitting .301 with 12 homers and an .860 OPS against righties this season and is 3-for-3 with a double and a triple against Rangers starter Colby Lewis.
