Chris Kelly and Torey Krug also scored, while David Krejci picked up three assists in the victory. The winning streak is the longest for the Bruins since a 10-game run in November 2011. Boston is 11-1-2 in its last 14 games. Chad Johnson got the start in the Boston net after Tuukka Rask played the last two games and made 29 saves. He improved to 8-0-1 in his last nine starts. Alexander Semin scored the lone goal for Carolina, which had a modest two-game win streak stopped. Cam Ward stopped 36 shots in defeat.

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Matt Read tallied two goals and Steve Mason earned the shutout as the Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins, 4-0, in the opener of a weekend home-and-home set. Scott Hartnell and Vincent Lecavalier also scored for the Flyers, who snapped a two-game skid. Claude Giroux kept up his frantic point pace with two assists and now has 21 points in his last 14 games. Mason made 25 saves for his fourth shutout of the season. Marc-Andre Fleury allowed all four goals on 40 shots as the Penguins' three-game win streak came to an end. The teams will meet again on Sunday afternoon in Pittsburgh.
