Kings acquire Carcillo from Blackhawks

Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - The Chicago Blackhawks traded veteran forward Dan Carcillo to the Los Angeles Kings Tuesday in exchange for a conditional selection in the 2015 draft.

Carcillo, who has twice led the league in penalty minutes during his seven- year career, was limited to just 51 games during his two seasons with the Blackhawks in part due to injuries.

The noted enforcer saw action in 23 regular-season contests during Chicago's Stanley Cup run this past year, but dressed in only four of the club's 23 postseason outings. He recorded two goals and one assist prior to the playoffs.

Including previous stops in Phoenix and Philadelphia, Carcillo has logged 40 goals, 47 assists and 1,079 penalty minutes over 333 career regular-season games. The 28-year-old tallied 12 goals and 22 points with the Flyers in 2009-10, but has scored just eight times over a combined 108 games in three seasons since.
