Description: Rockets big man Marcus Camby is expected to be out at least two weeks with a torn plantar fascia. SOURCE: Houston Chronicle
Insight: Camby is hoping to avoid surgery. For a frame of reference, a similar injury caused Angels slugger Albert Pujols to miss the final two months of the 2013 MLB season. Camby is a distant third on Houston's center depth chart behind starter Dwight Howard and backup Omer Asik.

5/1/2013 10:11:00 AM
Description: Knicks backup center Marcus Camby is doubtful for Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals Sunday against Boston with plantar fasciitis in his left foot.
Insight: Camby hasn't played in the series and, in fact, hasn't played since March 29, so this loss shouldn't hurt any fantasy lineups.

Description: Knicks backup center Marcus Camby is doubtful for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals Sunday against Boston with plantar fasciitis in his left foot.
Insight: Camby hasn't played in the series and, in fact, hasn't played since March 29, so this loss shouldn't hurt any fantasy lineups.

3/27/2013 9:22:00 PM
Description: Knicks center Marcus Camby received his second technical and has been ejected from Wednesday night's game against Memphis.
Insight: Camby will head to the locker room with one turnover and four fouls in eight minutes of action. That's a fantasy train wreck if we ever saw one.

3/1/2013 4:46:00 PM
Description: New York backup center Marcus Camby, who has a strained plantar fascia in his left foot, said that he will return to action Sunday against Miami, according to the New York Post.
Insight: Camby hasn't played since Jan. 10. He'll only serve as big man depth so fantasy owners can ignore him.

2/19/2013 12:23:00 PM
Description: New York backup center Marcus Camby, who has a strained plantar fascia in his left foot, made it through practice Tuesday and could be back soon.
Insight: Even if Camby was healthy he wouldn't be able to help your fantasy team. Ignore him.

1/11/2013 7:02:00 PM
Description: New York center Marcus Camby has a strained plantar fascia in his left foot. He'll be on the sidelines for the next 2-to-4 weeks.
Insight: Camby hasn't had a double-digit point or rebound game all season. Even if Camby was healthy he wouldn't be able to help your fantasy team.

1/10/2013 9:54:00 PM
Description: Knicks center Marcus Camby limped to the locker room during the third quarter of Thursday's game against the Pacers. He won't return.
Insight: Camby may have re-injured his left foot, according to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News. The veteran center has dealt with the injury all season and has only played 10 mpg in 13 games prior to Thursday's game.

1/3/2013 6:47:00 PM
Description: Knicks center Marcus Camby will start Thursday night's game against the Spurs.
Insight: Kurt Thomas (2.1 ppg, 2.5 rpg) usually starts at power forward for the Knicks alongside center Tyson Chandler (12.8 ppg, 10.1 rpg) but tonight coach Mike Woodson has decided to switch things up. This should buy Camby (1.4 ppg, 3.3 rpg) a few more minutes to put up numbers but we doubt it's enough to put him on the fantasy radar.

12/3/2012 10:35:00 AM
Description: New York center Marcus Camby is questionable for Wednesday's game against Charlotte with a sore left foot.
Insight: Camby isn't part of the Knicks regular rotation and shouldn't be in any fantasy lineups.

11/8/2012 9:05:00 PM
Description: New York center Marcus Camby is finally ready to make his season debut.
Insight: He'll play Friday night against the Mavericks. Camby missed the team's first three games while dealing with an injured calf.

11/1/2012 3:07:00 PM
Description: Knicks center Marcus Camby has returned to practice and is likely to play Friday night against Miami.
Insight: Camby had been on the shelf with an injured calf. The aging center is behind Tyson Chandler on the team's depth chart and isn't likely to be a major fantasy contributor in 2012-13.

10/27/2012 11:00:00 AM
Description: New York center Marcus Camby (calf) is not expected to practice until at least Tuesday, according to the New York Post.
Insight: Camby was only supposed to miss 7-10 days but he's going on four weeks out. He's iffy for the season opener on Nov. 1 at Brooklyn.

10/23/2012 3:03:00 PM
Description: New York center Marcus Camby, was expected to miss 7-to-10 days with a left calf injury suffered during the first week of October, but may miss the season opener.
Insight: Camby hasn't played more than 53 games since 2009, but when in the lineup provides rebounding and defense. That's probably not enough for most fantasy owners.

10/6/2012 12:59:00 PM
Description: New York center Marcus Camby is expected to miss 7-to-10 days while he recovers from a left calf injury.
Insight: Camby suffered the injury earlier this week. Luckily the MRI didn't reveal anything too serious so he should be ready to go by the time the Knicks open the regular season November 1st against Brooklyn.

10/5/2012 2:48:00 PM
Description: Knicks center Marcus Camby has a calf injury and did not practice on Friday. It doesn't appear to be serious, but at 38-years-old the team is likely just being cautious.
Insight: Camby will back up starter Tyson Chandler (11.3 ppg, 9.9 rpg). Camby is a productive rebounder (9.3 rpg) and shotblocker (1.5 bpg), but not very good offensively and will likely be limited to around 18-20 minutes-per-game. Barring injury he shouldn't be on a lot of fantasy rosters.

7/9/2012 8:11:00 PM
Description: Center Marcus Camby has agreed to a sign and trade deal with the Knicks. The Rockets will receive guard Toney Douglas, forward Josh Harrellson and center Jerome Jordan.
Insight: His deal is for three years and $13.2 million. Camby will back up starter Tyson Chandler (11.3 ppg, 9.9 rpg). Camby is a productive rebounder (9 rpg) and shotblocker (1.4 bpg) but a woeful offensive player (4.9 ppg). He shouldn't warrant much fantasy consideration next season.

7/2/2012 10:13:00 PM
Description: Free agent center Marcus Camby is hoping to remain with the Houston Rockets this offseason.
Insight: Unfortunately for Camby, it's not that simple. The Rockets are already pursuing Chicago center Omer Asik (3.1 ppg, 5.3 rpg) and it's doubtful Houston would give a big contract to a 38-year-old entering his 17th NBA season. Camby has also expressed an interest in playing for the Heat if Houston passes on him. Despite his age, Camby remains an above average rebounder and shot blocker (9 rpg, 1.4 bpg).

4/17/2012 8:56:00 PM
Description: Marcus Camby is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Mavericks. Camby missed Houston's game Monday against the Nuggets with a back injury.
Insight: Samuel Dalembert had a quiet game offensively filling in for Camby Monday (five points) but he also had nine rebounds and a Serge Ibaka-like seven blocks. Dalembert left practice Tuesday with a back issue but it doesn't appear that the injury will affect his status for Wednesday night's game in Dallas.

4/16/2012 8:08:00 PM
Description: Marcus Camby (back) has been ruled out for tonight's game against Denver.
Insight: Samuel Dalembert should warrant some fantasy consideration if this back injury forces Camby to miss more games.
