Monta Ellis was one of three Golden State starters who played the entire 48 minutes against Dallas on Tuesday night.
Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) -
The Golden State Warriors are a fantasy nightmare, or dream come true, depending upon your viewpoint. Check the box score from Tuesday night. The team played just six players!
If you have one of the injured guys on your roster, like Corey Maggette, Andris Biedrins or Kelenna Azubuike, then you are playing back ups while waiting for them to get healthy and you are falling further behind every day that they miss.
But if you start one of the six remaining players, you have to be smiling because you know your guy is seeing a large amount of playing time. Looking at Tuesday's 111-103 victory in Dallas - three starters played the entire 48 minutes. If you started Monta Ellis, Vladimir Radmanovic or Anthony Morrow you were rewarded with huge performances.
Ellis scored 37 points, despite 11 turnovers, pulled down four rebounds and handed out eight assists. Morrow shot a stunning 9-for-16 for 27 points to go along with nine boards and five assists. Meanwhile Radmanovic notched a double- double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
The other three Golden State participants - Mikki Moore, Stephen Curry and Anthony Randolph all played 30 minutes-or-more and Curry posted a solid 18- point, four rebound, six-assist night.
Checking the Sports Network injury page, Maggette and C.J. Watson are still questionable for Wednesday night's game against San Antonio while Ronny Turiaf, Biedrins, Raja Bell and Brandan Wright are going to be out for a while.
So this "iron man" strategy might be an ongoing thing.
Radmanovic is on just 4% of all rosters, Morrow is only owned in 56% of all leagues and Curry in just 68%. They could all be of use to you over the next few days or weeks.
