start the season when they host the Winnipeg Jets for Monday's matinee at TD
The Bruins opened the season at home on Saturday and recorded a 3-1 victory
over the New York Rangers. Boston scored a goal in each period and won despite
going 0-for-7 on the power play. The Bruins also managed to kill all five of
New York's power-play opportunities.
Johnny Boychuk celebrated his 29th birthday in style with a third-period goal
for Boston. Milan Lucic and Daniel Paille also scored while Tuukka Rask
stopped 20 shots for the Bruins. Rask is installed as Boston's No. 1
