Bruins acquire D Redden from St. Louis

St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - The Boston Bruins announced on Wednesday that the team has acquired veteran defenseman Wade Redden from the St. Louis Blues.

In return, St. Louis will receive a conditional seventh-round draft pick in 2014.

Redden has registered two goals and three assists over 23 games this season.

The 35-year-old was a teammate of current Bruins captain Zdeno Chara with the Ottawa Senators. He has totaled 108 goals and 347 assists over 1,017 career games with the Senators, Rangers and Blues.
