Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Chicago Blackhawks and defenseman Kyle Cumiskey agreed to terms on a one-year contract on Wednesday.
The 27-year-old blueliner spent the last two seasons playing for MODO of the Swedish Hockey League, and prior to that, one season with the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.
Cumiskey's last NHL turn came in 2010-11 with the Colorado Avalanche, during which he tallied one goal and seven assists in 18 appearances.
In 132 games over parts of five seasons, Cumiskey has totaled nine goals and 26 assists.
