Edmonton, AB (Sports Network) - Edmonton Oilers forward Sam Gagner will be out for an indefinite period after suffering a broken jaw.
The Journal revealed Sunday that Gagner suffered the injury during Saturday night's preseason game against the Canucks, after being struck in the face by the stick of Vancouver's Zack Kassian.
Gagner, 24, posted 14 goals and 24 assists in 48 games last season, his sixth in the NHL.
