Glendale, AZ (Sports Network) - The Phoenix Coyotes on Friday signed forward Brandon Yip to a one-year deal.
Terms of the two-way contract were not disclosed, per club policy.
An eighth-round pick by the Colorado Avalanche in the 2004 draft, Yip had just three goals and eight points in 34 contests with the Nashville Predators a season ago while averaging just over 12 minutes of ice time per game.
The 28-year-old, claimed off waivers by the Preds from the Avs on Jan. 19 of last year, has notched 29 goals and 27 assists for 56 points with 130 penalty minutes in 172 games with Colorado and Nashville.
