Boston, MA (Sports Network) - The Boston Bruins have signed forward Milan Lucic to a three-year contract extension through the 2015-16 season.
The deal will pay the Vancouver native an average of $6 million per season.
Lucic has played for the Bruins his entire five-year career. He recorded his first 30-goal season in 2010-11 and followed it up with a 26-goal, 35-assist campaign last season.
The 6-foot-4, 220-pound left wing helped the Bruins capture the Stanley Cup in the spring of 2011 and has totaled 15 goals, 20 assists and 137 penalty minutes in 62 career playoff games.
Lucic, who was selected in the second round of the 2006 draft by the Bruins, has recorded 90 goals, 122 helpers and 525 penalty minutes in 359 career regular-season games.
