Baltimore, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - Baltimore Ravens running back Bernard Pierce left Saturday's preseason game against the Washington Redskins and was taken to the locker room to undergo concussion protocol.
Pierce exited the game after getting hit by Washington safety Brandon Merriweather during the first quarter. He stayed down on the field for awhile before walking off on his own to the locker room.
The 24-year-old was expected to start Baltimore's first two games while starter Ray Rice served his suspension.
