(Sports Network) - Miami Dolphins tight end Dustin Keller will miss the entire season with a serious right knee injury, according to multiple media reports.
NFL.com, FOX Sports and ESPN all reported the discouraging news.
The Dolphins, however, have yet to provide any official word on the injury, which Keller suffered during Saturday's preseason game in Houston. He reportedly tore his ACL, PCL and MCL and also dislocated his kneecap.
As Keller tried to make a grab midway through the second quarter, Houston safety D.J. Swearinger dove in low to break up the play and made direct contact with his helmet against Keller's right knee.
Keller, 28, remained on the ground in obvious pain before being carted to the locker room.
The Purdue product signed a one-year deal in the offseason after spending his first five seasons with the New York Jets. He didn't miss a regular-season game over his first four years in the league before injuries limited him to eight contests last season.
