Houston, TX (Sports Network) - Miami Dolphins tight end Dustin Keller was carted off the field during Saturday's preseason game against the Houston Texans with a right knee injury that appeared to be serious.
As Keller tried to make a grab midway through the second quarter, Houston safety D.J. Swearinger dove in low to break up the play and made direct contact with his helmet against Keller's right knee.
The Miami tight end remained on the ground in obvious pain before being carted to the locker room. He is expected to undergo an MRI on Sunday.
Keller signed a one-year, $4.25 million dollar deal in the offseason to be Miami's starting tight end after catching 28 passes for 317 yards and two touchdowns in just eight games during an injury-plagued 2012 campaign with the New York Jets.
