New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony will miss the team's final two games of the season after an MRI revealed a small tear to the labrum in his right shoulder.
No surgery is required at this time and Anthony will be re-evaluated in a month.
The 29-year-old Anthony averaged 27.4 points, a career-high 8.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists while starting all 77 games in which he appeared this season.
New York visits cross-town rival Brooklyn on Tuesday before closing out the season at home against Toronto on Wednesday.
