Guard Player Notes
For The Last 15 Days

Rajon Rondo, G, DAL3/6/2015 9:50:00 AM
Description: Mavericks point guard Rajon Rondo filled up the box score Thursday night against Portland.
Insight: Rondo had 10 points, seven rebounds, nine assists and a steal, but he couldn't keep the Mavs in this one as they lost 94-75.
Damian Lillard, PG, POR3/6/2015 9:45:00 AM
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard, off a 1-of-13 effort on Wednesday, was better Thursday night against Dallas.
Insight: He still wasn't back to his normal self, but he did go 4-of-10 for 14 points, six rebounds and five assists. With Wes Matthews out for the season, the Trail Blazers will need Lillard to start scoring again.
Devin Harris, G, DAL3/6/2015 9:42:00 AM
Description: Mavs point guard Devin Harris hurt his right hand and while x-rays were negative he's doubtful for Friday against Golden State.
Insight: J.J. Barea and even Raymond Felton could see more playing time though none have much fantasy value behind Rajon Rondo and Monta Ellis.
Kemba Walker, G, CHA3/6/2015 9:38:00 AM
Description: Hornets point guard Kemba Walker (surgery on a torn lateral meniscus in his left knee) hopes to return Wednesday against Sacramento.
Insight: Walker was averaging 18.8 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 5.2 apg, 1.4 spg in 42 games before the knee injury. It appears that he will play alongside Mo Williams leaving Gerald Henderson owners out in the cold as he's obviously headed to a reserve role.
Mo Williams, PG, CHAHot3/6/2015 9:35:00 AM
Description: Hornets guard Mo Williams will stay in the starting lineup even after Kemba Walker returns, coach Steve Clifford told the Charlotte Observer.
Insight: That's huge news for Williams owners who have enjoyed great statistics since his move to the Hornets. He's averaged 21.6 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 8.9 apg in his last seven games.
Arron Afflalo, G, POR3/6/2015 9:32:00 AM
Description: Guard Arron Afflalo should see a significant increase to his fantasy value after Thursday's night's season-ending injury to Wes Matthews.
Insight: Afflalo had only been averaging 8.7 ppg while playing around 27 minutes, but those numbers should both increase for the remainder of the season. Afflalo averaged 14.5 ppg with Denver this season and that number should be reachable.
Wesley Matthews, G, POR3/6/2015 9:29:00 AM
Description: Portland shooting guard Wesley Matthews suffered a torn left Achilles tendon and will miss the remainder of the season.
Insight: Matthews (16.1 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 2.3 apg) was a great source of three-pointers having made 173 in just 59 games. Arron Afflalo should get most of his playing time.
E'Twaun Moore, G, CHI3/5/2015 11:09:00 PM
Description: Bulls guard E'Twaun Moore hit the game-winning 3-pointer versus the Thunder in the, 108-105, victory on Thursday.
Insight: The Bulls drew up a double pick-and-roll play on an inbound pass with under five seconds to go. With Chicago down, 105-104, the inbound pass went to Gasol, who found Moore open from downtown. On the ensuing Thunder possession, Russell Westbrook caught the inbound pass out of bounds to end the game. Moore finished 9-of-10 from the field with 19 points off the bench. Moore has proven effective in the past when he's had to fill in for Nelson for extended stretches, but the team went with a starting backcourt of Victor Oladipo and Arron Afflalo Sunday and didn't play Moore much.
Russell Westbrook, G, OKC3/5/2015 11:04:00 PM
Description: Thunder guard Russell Westbrook snapped his triple-double streak but still had an extremely productive fantasy night versus the Bulls.
Insight: Westbrook scored 43 points, going 14-of-32 from the field on Thursday. He hit three 3-pointers and also was 12-of-15 at the line. Westbrook had eight rebounds, seven assists and two steals too.
Isaiah Thomas, G, BOS3/5/2015 3:52:00 PM
Description: Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas could see increased value with starter Avery Bradley sidelined for at least the next game.
Insight: Thomas is averaging 20.1 ppg since coming to Boston seven games ago. His numbers could go up as he should get 30 minutes or more.
Avery Bradley, SG, BOS3/5/2015 3:48:00 PM
Description: Celtics shooting guard Avery Bradley has a strained left elbow and will miss Friday's game at the very least.
Insight: Bradley's absence should help Evan Turner and Isaiah Thomas's fantasy value. Bradley is averaging 13.9 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 1.6 apg this season.
Stephen Curry, G, GSW3/5/2015 9:36:00 AM
Description: Warriors guard Stephen Curry scored just 19 points on 6-of-16 shooting against Milwaukee Wednesday night.

Chris Paul, G, LACHot3/5/2015 9:30:00 AM
Description: Despite some foul trouble Clippers guard Chris Paul had a stellar game.
Insight: Paul finished with 36 points, six rebounds, 12 assists and a steal. His five turnovers was out of character for the star point guard. He's been playing at a high level since Blake Griffin went down to injury.
J.J. Redick, G, LAC3/5/2015 9:28:00 AM
Description: Clippers shooting guard J.J. Redick took 27 shots in this one, many key ones in the fourth quarter.
Insight: Redick finished with 26 points, including 4-of-12 from beyond the arc. Unfortunately, he doesn't contribute much outside of his points total.
Damian Lillard, PG, POR3/5/2015 9:13:00 AM
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard missed his first 12 shots, but helped his team and fantasy owners in other ways.
Insight: Lillard shot 1-of-13 from the field, but hauled down 18 rebounds and dished out four assists. with his five points. He lost his patience near the end taking a few wild shots, but we like that he helped his team to the overtime victory on a horrible shooting night.
Dion Waiters, SG, CLE3/4/2015 11:09:00 PM
Description: Thunder shooting guard Dion Waiters had a double-double off the bench as Oklahoma City beat Philadelphia, 123-118, on Wednesday.
Insight: Besides Russell Westbrook, who scored 49 points, the Thunder starting five was pathetic, scoring just 12 points. Waiters scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds with three assists. Kevin Durant cannot return soon enough.
Isaiah Canaan, G, PHI3/4/2015 11:06:00 PM
Description: 76ers new point guard Isaiah Canaan hit eight 3-pointers on his way to a season-high 31 points.
Insight: Canaan also had seven rebounds, six assists and a steal. Too bad he couldn't guard Russell Westbook, who went off for 49 points. Philadelphia lost in overtime, 123-118.
Russell Westbrook, G, OKC3/4/2015 11:04:00 PM
Description: Thunder guard Russell Westbrook had an jaw-dropping statistical game versus the 76ers on Wednesday.
Insight: Westbrook looked like a superhero with the way he played and the mask he was wearing to protect his face. He was 16-for-33 from the field, made one 3-pointer and was 16-of-20 from the line. Westbrook is the first player since Michael Jordan to record four straight triple-doubles.

Description: Bulls backup point guard Kirk Hinrich missed the morning shootaround and has been downgraded to out for Monday's game against Milwaukee.

Description: Warriors point guard Stephen Curry will not play versus the Pacers on Sunday.
Insight: Curry has a sore right ankle after stepping on someone in Friday's game. That directly contradicts coach Steve Kerr's report that Curry's injury was not ankle related. Shaun Livingston is likely going to start versus the Pacers, but Klay Thompson will benefit the most from Curry's absence.
Rodney Stuckey, G, IND2/22/2015 5:11:00 PM
Description: Pacers shooting guard Rodney Stuckey will play on Sunday versus the Warriors.

Insight: He went just 4-of-11 from the field and 3-of-6 from the line for 12 points, three rebounds, one assist, one 3-pointer, one steal, and one turnover during Saturday's loss. Look for Dragic to be much more effective, as he gets acclimated to his new team.

Description: Not only did guard Mario Chalmers lead Miami in scoring on Saturday night, but he also played a team-high 37 minutes off the bench.
Insight: This is seems like it will be a bit of an anomaly, as he scored 20 points on 9-of-13 shooting from the field (4-of-4 from the line). Goran Dragic will continue to start at point guard, but Chalmers looks like he will get steady minutes.

Insight: Williams started, played 38 minutes, and scored a team-high 24 points. He also had 12 assists, five 3-pointers, four rebounds, one steal, and five turnovers. Pretty good first impression.

Brandon Knight, G, PHO2/21/2015 7:15:00 PM
Description: Guard Brandon Knight will come off the bench in his first game with the Suns.

Mario Chalmers, G, MIA2/21/2015 7:13:00 PM
Description: Heat guard Mario Chalmers will come off the bench for Miami.
Insight: With Goran Dragic starting in his first game with the Heat, Chalmers will move to a reserve role. However, be aware that he will likely start in games Dwyane Wade does not play, and will undoubtedly see minutes off the bench.
Goran Dragic, G, PHO2/21/2015 7:11:00 PM
Description: Heat point guard Goran Dragic will start in his first game with the team.
Insight: Dragic was unable to play Friday night, but will be given the keys right away. His value increased even more, after learning Chris Bosh will miss the remainder of the season. Mario Chalmers will shift to the bench, but will still see minutes.
Shabazz Muhammad, G, MIN2/21/2015 7:09:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves forward Shabazz Muhammad will undergo surgery on his finger and miss the rest of the season.
Insight: This is a tough blow for Muhammad, who showed signs of improvement this season, averaging 13.5 ppg and 4.1 rpg. He was able to play on Friday, which apparently was not a good idea. Muhammad should be ready to go for training camp.
Lou Williams, SG, TOR2/21/2015 6:30:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Lou Williams (ankle) is doubtful for Saturday's contest against the Rockets.
Insight: Williams apparently suffered the injury late in Friday's game versus Atlanta. Greivis Vasquez and Terrence Ross would see additional time if Williams is unable to give it a go, but it's unlikely that either could match the 26 and 27 point games Williams has posted in the last two contests.
Mo Williams, PG, CHA2/21/2015 6:29:00 PM
Description: Mo Williams will start at point guard on Saturday in his first game as a Hornet.

Darren Collison, G, SAC2/21/2015 4:14:00 PM
Description: Kings guard Darren Collison did not play Friday against Boston and will miss Saturday's contest with the Clippers as well.

Brandon Knight, G, PHO2/21/2015 1:20:00 PM
Description: Guard Brandon Knight, who was traded to Phoenix at the trade deadline, will make his debut Saturday night, according to broadcaster Tim Kempton.
Insight: Knight was having a great season - averaging 17.8 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 5.4 apg in 52 games for the Bucks and should continue his high level of play in Phoenix alongside Eric Bledsoe in the starting lineup.
Kyle Singler, G, OKC2/21/2015 1:00:00 PM
Description: OKC's newly-acquired SG/SF Kyle Singler will have big shoes to fill in his Thunder debut as he'll replace injured Kevin Durant in the lineup.
Insight: Singler averaged just 7.1 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 1.2 apg in 54 games with Detroit. This is a big opportunity to show what he's worth and might be worthy of a flier.
O.J. Mayo, G, MIL2/21/2015 10:52:00 AM
Description: Bucks guard O.J. Mayo is questionable for Sunday's game against Atlanta after injuring a hamstring in Friday's win over Denver.
Insight: Mayo has scored in double digits in six straight games and nine out of his last 10, so this is bad timing for him and fantasy owners. We hope to get a better update before Sunday.
Austin Rivers, SG, LAC2/21/2015 10:46:00 AM
Description: Clippers guard Austin Rivers is expected to miss Saturday's game against Sacramento due to a sprained left ankle.
Insight: The coach's son could be out for a while. Rivers has no fantasy value now that J.J. Redick has returned from injury. It's more playing time for Jamal Crawford.

Description: Pacers shooting guard Rodney Stuckey is doubtful for Sunday's game against Golden State after spraining his left ankle late Friday night.
Insight: Stuckey led the team with 30 points, so this is horrible news for his fantasy owners. C.J. Miles and C.J. Watson should see more court time.

Description: Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving had 25 points and seven assists in the big victory over the Wizards.

Jimmy Butler, G/F, CHI2/20/2015 10:11:00 PM
Description: Bulls shooting guard Jimmy Butler scored 30 points, but it wasn't enough against the lowly Pistons as Chicago lost, 100-91.

Description: Knicks point guard Langston Galloway shot 50 percent from the floor on Friday as he led the team with 19 points.
Insight: Galloway was 7-of-14, including 3-for-5 from the 3-point line. If owners have to own someone from the Knicks, it might as well be Galloway. He is averaging 12.2 ppg, 5.8 rpg, and 3.0 apg in 31.6 minutes per game over the last five contests.
Shabazz Napier, GHot2/20/2015 10:02:00 PM
Description: Heat rookie Shabazz Napier came off the bench to lead Miami in scoring with 18 points versus the Knicks on Friday.
Insight: Napier was 6-of-11 from the floor, including 4-for-5 from downtown. He also had seven rebounds and six assists. Napier obviously benefitted from no Norris Cole or Chris Bosh, but it will be interesting to see how much Napier plays when Goran Dragic arrives.
Lou Williams, SG, TOR2/20/2015 9:49:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Louis Williams scored a team-high 26 points in 24 minutes on Friday.
Insight: Williams was just on fire, hitting 7-of-10 3-pointers. In his last two games, Williams has scored 26 and 27 points while hitting 11 3-pointers in the two games. That incredible considering the two games were nine days apart. Fantasy owners should ride out this hot streak.

Insight: Miles was 6-of-12 from the field with two 3-pointers, three rebounds, two steals and one assist. It is hard to count on any of the Pacers guards as Miles, George Hill, Rodney Stuckey and C.J. Watson have all capable of big games, but do not contribute consistently.
Rodney Stuckey, G, INDHot2/20/2015 9:34:00 PM
Description: Pacers shooting guard Rodney Stuckey took 16 shots coming off the bench in Friday's game versus the 76ers.
Insight: That's more than any Pacers starter. Stuckey led the team with 30 points, hitting 10 of those 16 shots, two of which were from downtown. He was also 8-for-8 from the line. Stuckey is clearly an abberation as he is averaging 11.6 ppg this season.
Tyreke Evans, G/F, NOP2/20/2015 9:31:00 PM
Description: Pelicans G/F Tyreke Evans recorded a double-double on Friday versus the Magic.
Insight: Evans led the Pelicans with 14 points and 10 assists. He also had eight rebounds, so despite the 4-of-13 shooting, fantasy owners were quite pleased with his numbers. Evans should continue to produce solid numbers without Jrue Holiday in the lineup.
Victor Oladipo, G, ORL2/20/2015 9:29:00 PM
Description: Magic guard Victor Oladipo had 22 points as he led Orlando to a, 95-84, victory over the Pelicans.
Insight: Oladipo was 11-of-18 from the field with two assists, two rebounds, one steal and one block. The scoring on Friday was nice, but he produced better rebound and assist numbers before the break. Hopefully, he returns to that.

Description: Bucks backup guard Jerryd Bayless will start on Friday versus the Nuggets.
Insight: The team sent Brandon Knight to Phoenix and newly acquired Michael Carter-Williams is dealing with a toe injury, so Bayless is pushed into the starting lineup. He really only has value in daily leagues.
Dwyane Wade, G, MIA2/20/2015 7:05:00 PM
Description: Heat guard Dwyane Wade is starting on Friday against the Knicks.
Insight: Wade missed a few weeks prior to the All-Star break with a hamstring issue. Wade will be the focal point on Friday without Chris Bosh, so Wade needs to be in all fantasy lineups.
Tim Hardaway Jr., G, NYK2/20/2015 6:36:00 PM
Description: Knicks guard Tim Hardaway Jr. will come off the bench on Friday against the Heat.
Insight: New York is in full tank-mode, so Hardaway has been designated to a bench role. If losing is the objective, it might be wise to leave Hardaway on the floor because he has really struggled lately, averaging 8.8 ppg and 1.7 3-pointers per game in February.
Isaiah Thomas, G, BOS2/20/2015 6:31:00 PM
Description: New Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas is probably not going to play on Friday.

Jason Richardson, SG, PHI2/20/2015 5:50:00 PM
Description: 76ers guard Jason Richardson will start on Friday against the Pacers.
Insight: Richardson, however, is still only expected to play 14-18 minutes, so his fantasy value is limited. This will be his first game since Jan. 18, so expect the 76ers to move him back slowly.

Description: Nets guard Jarrett Jack, who left last Tuesday's game versus the Grizzlies with a strained hamstring, is apparently not yet healed and will not play against the LA Lakers, according to Tim Bontemps of the NY Post.

Isaiah Canaan, G, PHI2/20/2015 2:43:00 PM
Description: It's good news and bad news for Sixers newly-acquired point guard Isaiah Canaan.
