For The Last 365 Days

Carmelo Anthony, F1/29/2015 9:57:00 AM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony led New York with 31 points and 10 rebounds versus the Thunder on Wednesday, but should be considered questionable for Thursday's game against Indiana.
Insight: Anthony is not expected to play both games in any back-to-back situations for the remainder of the season. If Anthony sits, figure Tim Hardaway Jr., Lance Thomas and Langston Galloway to take more shots.
Tim Hardaway Jr., G1/28/2015 11:02:00 PM
Description: Knicks guard Tim Hardaway Jr. hit four 3-pointers versus the Thunder on Wednesday.

Carmelo Anthony, F1/28/2015 10:58:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony led New York with 31 points and 10 rebounds versus the Thunder on Wednesday.

Cole Aldrich, C1/28/2015 9:47:00 PM

Description: Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire will not play this week due to wrist and ankle injuries according to Newsday.

Carmelo Anthony, F1/28/2015 6:54:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony will play on Wednesday.
Insight: Anthony missed Saturday's game to rest, but he will be in the lineup versus the Thunder. The knee seems to be holding up for now, but Anthony will routinely miss games to rest.
Jose Calderon, G1/28/2015 6:53:00 PM
Description: Knicks point guard Jose Calderon will play versus the Thunder on Wednesday.
Insight: Calderon will start along with shooting guard Langston Galloway. It is not recommended to use Calderon in daily leagues on Wednesday because he has a tough matchup against Russell Westbrook.
Carmelo Anthony, F1/26/2015 11:23:00 AM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony did not play on Saturday versus the Hornets and the postponed Sacramento game will give him even more rest.

Amare Stoudemire, F1/26/2015 5:50:00 AM
Description: Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire is doubtful for Monday's game against Sacramento due to a sprained left ankle and injured wrist.
Insight: Add that to his already suspect knees. Stoudemire is averaging 12.7 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 1.0 apg, 1.1 bpg, but can't be counted in daily leagues because of all the health issues.
Jose Calderon, G1/26/2015 5:49:00 AM
Description: Knicks point guard Jose Calderon is doubtful for Monday's game against Sacramento while dealing with a bruised left knee.
Insight: He is making progress, according to coach Derek Fisher, but if Calderon is unable to play, Langston Galloway will likely get another start. Galloway has played well in his last four games and is a viable fantasy option.
Lance Thomas, F1/24/2015 9:42:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Lance Thomas played 41 minutes against the Hornets on Saturday and scored 16 points.
Insight: Thomas led the game in minutes and was 7-of-14 from the field. With Carmelo Anthony expected to be shutdown at some point this spring, Thomas is an intriguing fantasy add. He also had eight rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block.
Tim Hardaway Jr., G1/24/2015 9:34:00 PM
Description: Knicks guard Tim Hardaway Jr. had a game-high 25 points in the loss versus the Hornets on Saturday.
Insight: Without Carmelo Anthony and Kemba Walker, the Knicks and Hornets game was a snoozer. Hardaway was the only player with more than 20 points as Charlotte came back to win, 76-71. Hardaway was 9-of-17 from the floor with six rebounds and five assists.
Carmelo Anthony, F1/24/2015 5:39:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony will not play on Saturday versus the Hornets.
Insight: Anthony played 42 minutes on Friday, so the team wants him to rest. Anthony took 24 shots in each of the last two games, so there are quite a bit of chances available for other players on Saturday.
Carmelo Anthony, F1/24/2015 12:33:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony (knee) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Hornets.

Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony scored a team-high 25 points during Friday's victory over the Magic.
Insight: He also had seven boards, four dimes, three 3-pointers, and one block. Anthony is a top-40 option these days, but is trending up.
Iman Shumpert, G1/23/2015 10:52:00 AM
Description: Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert is expected to play Friday, according to Bob Finnan of The News-Herald.
Insight: Shumpert has been out since dislocating his shoulder on Dec. 12. He'll come off the bench Friday, but eventually he should supplant J.R. Smith in the starting lineup at shooting guard.
Carmelo Anthony, F1/21/2015 9:30:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony shot just 8-of-24 from the field, but managed a team-high 27 points during Wednesday's victory against the 76ers.
Insight: He did go 9-of-10 from the line and 2-of-7 from downtown, and also chipped in 11 rebounds, four assists, three steals, and two turnovers.
Amare Stoudemire, F1/21/2015 10:49:00 AM
Description: Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire will play Wednesday against the 76ers.
Insight: Stoudemire will probably come off the bench and play around 20 minutes. Stoudemire is averaging 12.7 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 1.0 apg, 1.1 bpg, but can't be counted in daily leagues because his knees are a reliability.
Carmelo Anthony, F1/21/2015 10:26:00 AM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony said his knee was feeling good and that he will play versus the 76ers on Wednesday according to ESPN New York.
Insight: Anthony did admit he probably won't be able to handle back-to-back games, but that won't happen for the Knicks until Jan. 28-29. Fantasy owners probably don't have to worry until then, and Anthony should be in every fantasy lineup.
Langston Galloway, G1/19/2015 8:06:00 PM
Description: Knicks point guard Langston Galloway scored 21 points, hitting three 3-pointers in the victory over the Pelicans.
Insight: Who? We understand if fantasy owners out there don't know who this guy is. He has now played five NBA games, averaging 9.8 ppg, 3.0 apg, and 2.0 rpg. This was clearly his best game, so it will be interesting to see if Galloway can repeat this kind of success.
Carmelo Anthony, F1/19/2015 8:04:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony scored 24 points to help snap the Knicks 16-game losing streak.
Insight: New York beat New Orleans, 99-92. Anthony was 7-of-15, hitting three 3-pointers in the game. He also had nine rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal. Anthony will continue to be a top fantasy option as long as he is playing.

Description: Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire is questionable for Monday's game against New Orleans.
Insight: Stoudemire is averaging 12.7 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 1.0 apg, 1.1 bpg, but can't be counted on to play every day. He managed just eight minutes in London, so even if active he shouldn't be started by fantasy owners.
Shane Larkin, G1/15/2015 5:49:00 PM
Description: Knicks guard Shane Larkin left Thursday's game with a sprained ankle in his left leg according to the Bergen Record.
Insight: It just keeps getting worse for the Knicks. Larkin has been in effective of late, and he finished Thursday with one assist, one rebound and three turnovers in 19 minutes, but the Knicks need everybody they can get.

Description: Knicks forward Travis Wear scored a team-high 21 points during Thursday's loss versus Houston.
Insight: Who? It keeps getting worse for the Knicks, as no starter scored in double-figures. Langston Galloway had the second-most points on the night with 19. New York is clearly in shambles.
Amare Stoudemire, F1/8/2015 1:39:00 PM

Description: Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith will be active for Wednesday's game versus the Rockets.
Insight: The trade is official, so Smith will be able to make his Cleveland debut. Smith will receive about the same amount of minutes Dion Waiters was in Cleveland, but Smith actually has a better chance to be productive because he shoots better from long range.
Iman Shumpert, G1/7/2015 11:53:00 AM
Description: Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert underwent a doctor evaluation and it was determined he is still at least two weeks away from returning to the court according to the Akron Beacon Journal.

Carmelo Anthony, F12/10/2014 1:28:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony is questionable for Wednesday's game in San Antonio according to the New York Post.
Insight: If things couldn't get any worse for the Knicks, Anthony is now apparently dealing with a knee issue. If Anthony can't go, J.R. Smith and Tim Hardaway Jr. will get more looks.
Amare Stoudemire, F12/9/2014 10:25:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire led New York with 26 points and five blocks on Tuesday.
Insight: New York continues to struggle on offense, scoring just 93 points in the loss to New Orleans. Stoudemire had a good night, shooting 11-of-18 with five rebounds and five blocks.
Carmelo Anthony, F12/5/2014 9:29:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony took nearly as many shots as all the other starters combined as he made 11-of-22 field goals and scored 32 points on Friday.
Insight: It had to be 34 to ensure a victory that the Knicks let slip away on the last Hornets possession. Charlotte won, 103-102, and Anthony missed the last 2-point shot New York had in the game. Anthony did make all eight of his foul shots and grab seven rebounds. Anthony also shot 1-of-7 from the 3-point line. He had nine rebounds and six assists, so with the 20 points, he had a decent night, but overall, fantasy owners aren't getting as much as they would like out of Anthony. As for the Knicks, Anthony missed two 3-pointers that would have tied the game as New York fell, 98-93, to its crosstown rival.
Amare Stoudemire, F12/5/2014 6:22:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire will start again on Friday against the Hornets.
Insight: Stoudemire was the best player on offense for the Knicks Thursday as Carmelo Anthony continued to struggle. There should be some concerns Stoudemire will wear down as this is his second start of a back-to-back, and the forward has averaged 34.7 minutes per game over the last three games. But for Friday, Stoudemire is a nice plug-in.
Amare Stoudemire, F12/4/2014 10:54:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire was impressive in his first start at center this season.
Insight: Stoudemire had 18 points and nine rebounds. He shot 8-of-13 from the field. Unfortunately for him and the Knicks, New York dropped another close game, 90-87, to the Cavaliers.
Amare Stoudemire, F12/4/2014 7:06:00 PM
Description: Knicks power forward Amare Stoudemire will start at center on Thursday against the Cavaliers.
Insight: Stoudemire has a favorable matchup against Cleveland, so he is a nice plug-in option for Thursday. Meanwhile, Samuel Dalembert moves to the bench.
J.R. Smith, SG12/4/2014 1:18:00 PM
Description: Knicks guard J.R. Smith (flu-like symptoms) did not play on Tuesday, but is probable for Thursday's game against Cleveland.
Insight: Smith's return will take a big bite out of Tim Hardaway Jr.'s fantasy value, however, Smith is still too inconsistent to start on an every day basis.
Carmelo Anthony, F12/2/2014 10:11:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony scored 20 points on Tuesday but only five of those points came in the second half.
Insight: Anthony also shot 1-of-7 from the 3-point line.
J.R. Smith, SG12/2/2014 5:55:00 PM
Description: Knicks guard J.R. Smith (flu-like symptoms) will not play on Tuesday.
Insight: No surprise here, as Smith was doubtful heading into the night. Iman Shumpert and Tim Hardaway Jr. will see increased minutes.
J.R. Smith, SG12/2/2014 12:10:00 PM
Description: Knicks guard J.R. Smith has been downgraded to doubtful for Tuesday's game against Brooklyn after being sent home from Monday's practice due to his illness.
Insight: Smith (flu-like sypmtoms) could only last six minutes Sunday after getting an IV before the game. He's not produced for fantasy owners this season averaging 9.2 ppg, 2.2 rpg, 3.4 apg. and should not be started.
J.R. Smith, SG12/1/2014 11:38:00 AM
Description: Knicks guard J.R. Smith is questionable for Tuesday's game against Brooklyn due to illness.
Insight: Smith could only last six minutes Sunday after getting an IV before the game. He's not produced for fantasy owners this season averaging 9.2 ppg, 2.2 rpg, 3.4 apg. and should not be started.
Carmelo Anthony, F12/1/2014 11:35:00 AM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony (back spasms) came out of Sunday's game without any setbacks and can be started as usual.
Insight: Anthony came back with a bang, posting 31 points, eight rebounds and a pair of assists. His numbers are down a bit this season (23.7 ppg, 5.9 rpg), but we expect that to change now that he's healthy.
Amare Stoudemire, F11/28/2014 10:38:00 PM
Description: Knicks power forward Amare Stoudemire scored 20 points, shooting 7-for-8 from the floor on Friday versus the Thunder.
Insight: It has gotten pretty ugly for New York without superstar Carmelo Anthony as Oklahoma City won, 105-78. As long as Anthony is out, it will not be pretty for the Knicks, but someone has to score, and Stoudemire looks to be the most likely candidate.
Carmelo Anthony, F11/28/2014 7:04:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony will not play on Friday because of his back spasms.
Insight: There are rumors that Anthony will sit for awhile until his back is 100 percent. Anthony did participate in pre-game shooting drills, so at least that is a good sign. J.R. Smith will continue to get plenty of shots while Iman Shumpert and Jose Calderon will also have bigger roles.
Carmelo Anthony, F11/28/2014 1:32:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony (back) did not play Wednesday and is doubtful for Friday's game against Oklahoma City
Insight: He is dealing with significant back spasms and got treatment this morning during the shootaround. J.R. Smith would start at small forward. This is a game-time decision.
Jose Calderon, G11/26/2014 10:43:00 PM
Description: Knicks point guard Jose Calderon scored a team-high 21 points in Wednesday's overtime loss to Dallas.
Insight: Somebody needed to step up during the absence of Carmelo Anthony, and Calderon did just that. He was 7-of-13 from the floor, and all seven of his field goals were 3-pointers. He also had 10 rebounds, four assists, and two turnovers.
Carmelo Anthony, F11/26/2014 6:26:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony (back) will not play Wednesday.
Insight: He is dealing with significant back spasms. J.R. Smith will start at small forward.
Carmelo Anthony, F11/26/2014 10:29:00 AM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony is dealing with what sounds like a pretty serious back injury, and he is not expected to play on Wednesday according to the New York Post.
Insight: He is also not expected to play Friday, and there is no timetable for his return. The Knicks are now concerned this injury could effect Anthony all season, and fantasy owners should share the same concern. Shane Larkin started in Anthony's place in the second half on Monday. Amare Stoudemire along with several other players should get more opportunities as long as Anthony is out.
Carmelo Anthony, F11/25/2014 1:43:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony left Monday's game with back spasms and didn't make Tuesday's practice.
Insight: Newsday's Al Iannazzone calls Anthony (23.2 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 3.2 apg) doubtful for Wednesday versus Dallas.

Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony scored a team-high 25 points in Saturday's win over the 76ers.

Jose Calderon, G11/22/2014 6:12:00 PM
Description: Knicks point guard Jose Calderon (strained right calf) will start Saturday against Philadelphia.
Insight: It will be his first game of the season, and as a result owners should drop Shane Larkin. Calderon should produce nicely, once he earns a full workload.
Andrea Bargnani, F11/21/2014 10:15:00 AM
Description: Knicks forward Andrea Bargnani injured his calf and hamstring during Friday's practice and will not play on Saturday.
Insight: NEWSFLASH: Bargnani is not fantasy relevant. If you still have him, drop him immediately just as the Knicks probably should do in the near future.
Jose Calderon, G11/20/2014 2:20:00 PM
Description: Knicks point guard Jose Calderon (strained right calf) is expected to play Saturday versus Philadelphia.
Insight: That would be a nice team to come back against given the Sixers don't play much defense.
Carmelo Anthony, F11/19/2014 10:32:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony had his best night shooting of the season, but the Knicks still lost by 16.
Insight: Anthony shot 7-of-10 from the field, including 4-for-5 at the 3-point line. He finished with 20 points, four rebounds, an assist and a steal.
Iman Shumpert, G11/18/2014 10:40:00 PM
Description: Knicks guard Iman Shumpert played very well in Tuesday's loss to the Bucks.
Insight: He had 21 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, three steals, two 3-pointers, and three turnovers. Shumpert has been a pleasant surprise so far.
Carmelo Anthony, F11/18/2014 10:38:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony filled the stat sheet in Tuesday's loss to Milwaukee.
Insight: He was 9-of-16 from the floor and 4-of-6 from the line. Melo also chipped in six rebounds, five assists, two 3-pointers, and only one turnover. Owners cannot complain about those numbers.
Iman Shumpert, G11/17/2014 7:06:00 PM
Description: Knicks guard Iman Shumpert (hip) willl test himself to see how he feels Tuesday.
Insight: He is shaping up to be a game-time decision. If Shumpert cannot go, J.R. Smith will see an increase in playing time.
J.R. Smith, SG11/16/2014 5:16:00 PM
Description: Knicks guard J.R. Smith scored a season-high 28 points in Sunday's, 109-93, victory over the Nuggets.
Insight: Smith made 10-out-of-16 shots, including two 3-pointers. He also had four rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block.
Carmelo Anthony, F11/16/2014 5:12:00 PM

Insight: Anthony scored 28 points to lead the Knicks over the Nuggets, 109-93. He hit two 3-pointers and had nine rebounds, three assists and a steal.
Iman Shumpert, G11/16/2014 10:49:00 AM
Description: Knicks guard Iman Shumpert left friday's game with a right hip contusion and is doubtful for Sunday's game against Denver.
Insight: X-rays were negative, but fantasy owners need to go elsewhere. Shane Larkin and Pablo Prigioni should see extra playing time.
Carmelo Anthony, F11/14/2014 10:16:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony played his best game of the season, but New York fell at the buzzer to Utah.
Insight: Trey Burke hit the clutch shot in the corner, which will overshadow Anthony's fantastic night. He was 16-of-26 from the field and 13-of-16 from the line for 46 points, seven rebounds, one assist, one steal, one 3-pointer, and two turnovers. Owners will hope this gets Melo going.
Iman Shumpert, G11/14/2014 9:28:00 PM
Description: Knicks guard Iman Shumpert left friday's game with a righthip contusion.
Insight: He is officially questionable to return.
Carmelo Anthony, F11/12/2014 10:12:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony finally had a good shooting night in Wednesday's loss to the Magic.
Insight: He was 10-of-17 from the field and 5-of-6 from the line for 27 points, five rebounds, one assist, two 3-pointers, one steal, one block, and one turnover. Anthony is poised to go on a hot streak.
Carmelo Anthony, F11/10/2014 10:12:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony played one of his best games in awhile as he was close to a triple-double.
Insight: Anthony scored 25 points with nine rebounds and seven assists. He shot 11-of-25 from the field, but missed all five 3-point attempts.
Iman Shumpert, G11/9/2014 11:12:00 AM
Description: Knicks guard Iman Shumpert had a strong game Saturday against the Hawks.
Insight: He was 8-of-12 from the field for 19 points, and also had seven assists, four rebounds, one steal, but four turnovers as well. Shumpert is averaging 13.7 ppg, 3.4 apg, 3.4 rpg, and .86 spg early this season, and if he keeps those numbers consistent, Shumpert will be a valuable fantasy player in 2014-15.
Carmelo Anthony, F11/8/2014 10:06:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony scored a team-high 20 points in Saturday's loss to the Hawks.
Insight: He was only 8-of-20 from the floor, but did have two 3-pointers and nine rebounds. Owners are still waiting for Anthony to break loose.
Carmelo Anthony, F11/8/2014 8:51:00 AM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony had another poor performance.
Insight: This looks like its starting to be a trend. Anthony scored 19 points, but shot just 5-of-20 from the floor against the Nets on Friday. His 8-for-9 at the free-throw line helped him avoid fantasy disaster. Anthony also turned in four rebounds and four assists.
Iman Shumpert, G11/7/2014 6:10:00 PM
Description: Knicks guard Iman Shumpert will start at the point Friday against the Nets.
Insight: Both Shumpert and Tim Hardaway Jr. will start versus the Nets because Pablo Prigioni is out with an ankle injury. Shane Larkin had been starting at point guard, but he will fill Progioni's role and come off the bench on Friday.
Carmelo Anthony, F11/5/2014 10:13:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony had his second straight poor night.
Insight: Anthony did not hit a field goal in the first half against the Pistons on Wednesday. He did better in the second half. Anthony finished with eight assists and six rebounds but only 13 points on 5-of-21 shooting.
Pablo Prigioni, G11/5/2014 8:59:00 PM
Description: Knicks point guard Pablo Prigioni left Wednesday game in Detroit with an ankle sprain.
Insight: The x-rays came back negative according to Bleacher Report. He will, however, miss the rest of the game.
Luol Deng, F11/5/2014 6:40:00 PM
Description: Heat player Luol Deng will play against the Hornets on Wednesday.
Insight: Deng suffered a minor nerve injury against the Rockets on Tuesday. The injury will not affect his playing time, and small forwards have done very well against the Hornets this season. Make sure Deng is in the starting lineup.
J.R. Smith, SG11/5/2014 6:33:00 PM
Description: Knicks guard J.R. Smith is suspended one game due to his shot to Glen Rice Jr.'s groin on Tuesday night.
Insight: Smith will miss Wednesday's game versus the Pistons. With Smith out, Iman Shumpert should be in most fantasy lineups as he has a chance to build upon his 19-point outing from Tuesday. Tim Hardaway Jr. will also see an increase in minutes.
Iman Shumpert, G11/4/2014 10:05:00 PM
Description: Knicks shooting guard Iman Shumpert scored a team-high 19 points in Tuesday's loss to Washington.
Insight: Shumpert has played well thus far, and was 6-of-11 from the field, including four 3-pointers. Owners need to monitor his progress.
Carmelo Anthony, F11/4/2014 10:03:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony had a poor night from the field on Tuesday.
Insight: He was 8-of-23 for 18 points, six rebounds, three assists, one steal, one 3-pointer, and a dreadful seven turnovers. Look for Anthony to rebound next time out.
Jose Calderon, G11/4/2014 11:45:00 AM
Description: Knicks point guard Jose Calderon (strained right calf) is not expected to return until late November.
Insight: Shane Larkin starts in his absence, but Calderon is in no danger of losing his starting spot when he returns.
Andrea Bargnani, F11/4/2014 11:42:00 AM
Description: Knicks PF/C Andrea Bargnani will not return until Nov 12, according to coach Derek Fisher.
Insight: Quincy Acy and Amare Stoudemire have been sharing the power forward minutes. It's hard to recommend keepinh a player with Bargnani's injury history on your fantasy roster. Yes, he can play when healthy, but that hasn't been very often over the past three seasons.
Quincy Acy, F11/3/2014 1:44:00 PM
Description: Knicks power forward Quincy Acy is the starter with Andrea Bargnani sidelined for a couple of weeks, but he's dealing with a wrist injury himself.
Insight: Acy's wrist won't keep him out of the starting lineup, but he's not a great fantasy play averaging 5.3 ppg, 6.3 rpg.
Luol Deng, F11/1/2014 9:52:00 PM
Description: Heat player Luol Deng shot another high percentage from the field in his second game with Miami.
Insight: Deng made 7-of-11, including 1-for-3 from behind the arc, on Saturday's victory over the 76ers. Deng finished with 15 points, four rebounds, two steals and two assists.
Carmelo Anthony, F10/30/2014 10:41:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony rebounded from a poor opening night.
Insight: After scoring only 14 points on Wednesday, Anthony was much better on Thursday, as he had 25 points and six assists. Look for his scoring numbers to continue to increase.
Jose Calderon, G10/30/2014 12:16:00 PM
Description: Knicks point guard Jose Calderon (strained right calf) did not play Wednesday and is questionable for Thursday's game against Cleveland.
Insight: Calderon was thought to be good for the opener, but was a last-second no-go. Shane Larkin started in his absence.
Andrea Bargnani, F10/30/2014 12:15:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Andrea Bargnani has been ruled out of the first three games of the season.
Insight: Nothing new here for a guy who has missed more than half of the games over the past three seasons. Sunday versus Charlotte is the earliest he could play, but fantasy owners should not expect anything from him - then they won't be disappointed.
Carmelo Anthony, F10/29/2014 10:31:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony led the team in scoring, during Wednesday's loss to Chicago.
Insight: It was not much of an accomplishment, as Anthony had only 14 points. The Knicks shot only 36.5 percent from the field, and Anthony and Amare Stoudemire (12 points) were the only two players to score in double-figures.
Jose Calderon, G10/29/2014 7:16:00 PM
Description: Knicks point guard Jose Calderon (calf) will not play Wednesday against the Bulls.
Insight: This comes as a surprise, as Calderon was deemed good to go. However he may have aggravated something during warmups, and is now out. Consider him day-to-day.
Luol Deng, F10/27/2014 5:08:00 PM
Description: Heat player Luol Deng will be one of the best rebounders and passers at the small forward position this season.
Insight: Deng takes on LeBron James' role in Miami, and he should be among the league leaders in minutes played, rebounds and assists, especially for small forwards. The Heat could also ask Deng to score a lot if Dwyane Wade goes down with an injury.
Pablo Prigioni, G10/24/2014 7:15:00 PM
Description: Knicks point guard Pablo Prigioni will backup starting point guard Jose Calderon this season.
Insight: Prigioni is already 37-years-old, and he will only have fantasy value to owners who need 3-pointers and assists or a quality turnover-to-assist ratio.
Iman Shumpert, G10/24/2014 7:13:00 PM
Description: A true fantasy breakout for Knicks shooting guard Iman Shumpert this season will be tough.
Insight: Shumpert has not played as well as he did in his rookie season, and this season, he will have to fight Carmelo Anthony, J.R. Smith and Tim Hardaway Jr. for playing time. Still, Shumpert's offensive skill is better suited for the new triangle offense, and the Knicks will need Shumpert's defense, which will get him minutes on the floor.
Amare Stoudemire, F10/24/2014 6:50:00 PM
Description: Knicks power forward Amare Stoudemire will have some value in deeper fantasy points leagues this season.
Insight: Stoudemire is in a contract year, so he should be motivated to play well. His motivation hasn't been the issue during his time in New York, though, it has been his body. Hopefully, he can stay healthy in a reduced role and chip in quality percentages.
Andrea Bargnani, F10/24/2014 6:37:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Andrea Bargnani could be a good late-round flier in fantasy leagues.
Insight: New York fans are laughing and shaking their head as some fans likely forget this buffoon was still on the roster. Bargnani is 7 feet tall and plays center, yet doesn't rebound, block shots or shoot all that well from the field. The Knicks could certainly use some scoring from him and being that he is in a contract year, fantasy owners late in drafts could roll the dice on him staying motivated to perform well.
Tim Hardaway Jr., G10/24/2014 6:29:00 PM
Description: Knicks guard Tim Hardaway Jr. is a potential sleeper in fantasy this season.
Insight: Hardaway showed in his rookie season that he can score. He averaged 10.2 PPG in just about 23 minutes per game and shot over 36 percent from the 3-point line. That gives him tremendous upside, but J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert will steal some minutes from Hardaway again.
Tim Hardaway Jr., G10/24/2014 6:29:00 PM
Description: Knicks guard Tim Hardaway Jr. is a potential valuable fantasy option Friday if Carmelo Anthony and J.R. Smith are both sidelined.
Insight: Hardaway took 18 shots and posted 23 points on Wednesday and could be good again if all these shooters are out of the lineup. Unfortunately, he doesn't give you much else other than points and three-pointers.
J.R. Smith, SGHot10/24/2014 6:25:00 PM
Description: Knicks guard J.R. Smith told NBC Sports he is struggling to adjust to the triangle offense this preseason.
Insight: That's not what fantasy owners want to hear. Smith is already battling Iman Shumpert and Tim Hardaway Jr. for playing time. Even when he is on the court, he will always be the second option to Carmelo Anthony. Smith can still be a prolific 3-point shooter, but don't expect Derek Fisher to put up with his non-sense as Mike Woodson did.
Jose Calderon, G10/24/2014 6:20:00 PM
Description: Knicks point guard Jose Calderon will not provide fantasy owners much besides assists and 3-pointers.
Insight: Calderon, however, will provide plenty of those. He averaged 4.7 assists last season, and our projections have that number going up by at least two with Carmelo Anthony. Calderon also has a career 41.1 field goal percentage from behind the arc, exactly what the triangle offense needs.
Carmelo Anthony, F10/24/2014 6:16:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony will once again be a fantasy monster.
Insight: In Phil Jackson's triangle offense, Anthony might shoot less, but ideally, that just means a higher field goal percentage and more assists. Anthony should remain in the scoring-title race while also being a more balanced fantasy player.
Carmelo Anthony, F10/22/2014 11:19:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony had a huge night on Wednesday in a preseason game against the Wizards.
Insight: Anthony scored the game-winning jumper and received the foul. He scored 30 points and had three rebounds, three assists, three steals and two 3-pointers in 34 minutes. He shot 11-of-19 from the floor.
Iman Shumpert, G10/9/2014 8:05:00 PM
Description: Knicks coach Derek Fisher said he could play Iman Shumpert, J.R. Smith and Tim Hardaway Jr. on the court at the same time this season according to ESPN New York.
Insight: Shumpert would run the point while Smith and Hardaway Jr. would be on the wings in that situation. Assuming Carmelo Anthony is also on the floor, he would be the power forward. That sort of contradicts what Anthony stated last week when he said he would play more small forward this season. We don't expect Fisher to use Shumper at the point very much this season as he did not look comfortable at the position last season.
Andrea Bargnani, F10/8/2014 8:21:00 PM
Description: Knicks PF/C Andrea Bargnani started at power forward in a preseason game on Wednesday.
Insight: Bargnani started along with Jose Calderon, J.R. Smith, Carmelo Anthony and Samuel Dalembert. Bargnani should benefit from playing with Calderon as both played with each other in Toronto. Still, Bargnani is not worth drafting in most leagues.
Luol Deng, F7/13/2014 3:55:00 PM
Description: The Heat have agreed to a two-year, $20 million contract with Luol Deng.
Insight: Deng averaged 16 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists per game in 63 games last season with the Bulls and Cavaliers. The Heat will count on Deng to replace some of what they are losing from LeBron James' departure.
Carmelo Anthony, F7/13/2014 3:43:00 PM
Description: Carmelo Anthony has officially agreed to a contract with the New York Knicks.
Insight: According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, Anthony will get more than $120 million over five years. Staying with the Knicks is the best move for Anthony's fantasy value.
Carmelo Anthony, F7/9/2014 10:36:00 PM
Description: Carmelo Anthony's agent, Leon Rose, told ESPN that his client "hasn't made a decision yet."
Insight: The NY Daily News reported Wednesday that Anthony would be re-signing with the Knicks, citing a person close to the star forward. The Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls and Houston Rockets are the other teams who have been heavily courting Anthony, but the Knicks can give him the most money.
Carmelo Anthony, F7/9/2014 4:22:00 PM
Description: According to the New York Daily News, Carmelo Anthony will return to the New York Knicks. He's expected to make the announcement Thursday.
Insight: A person close to Anthony told the Daily News Wednesday that "barring a last minute change of heart," Anthony will re-sign with the Knicks. The Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls and Houston Rockets are the other teams who have been heavily courting Anthony, but the Knicks can give him the most money.
Jose Calderon, G6/25/2014 9:04:00 PM
Description: The Mavs are sending Jose Calderon to the Knicks along with Samuel Dalembert, Wayne Ellington, Shane Larkin and two second-round picks. SOURCE: Marc Spears, Yahoo Sports
Insight: Calderon will be reunited with former Raptors teammate Andrea Bargnani, who just picked up his option for next season. Calderon (11.4 ppg, 4.7 apg in 2013-14) is an upgrade over the underwhelming Raymond Felton.
Raymond Felton, G6/24/2014 9:11:00 PM
Description: Knicks guard Raymond Felton won't face jail time after pleading guilty to gun charges. SOURCE: Mike Mazzeo, ESPN New York
Insight: Felton (9.7 ppg, 5.6 apg in 2013-14) was arrested back in February. He'll have to do some community service and pay a fine. It's possible the league could hand down a suspension at a later date.
Carmelo Anthony, F6/22/2014 4:34:00 PM
Description: Carmelo Anthony has decided to opt out of the final year of his contract. SOURCE: Adrian Wojnarowksi, Yahoo Sports
Insight: He had until Monday to make his decision. With LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh also candidates to opt out, this should be one of the most anticipated free agency periods we've seen in a long time.
Carmelo Anthony, F6/15/2014 3:56:00 PM
Description: Rumors are running rampant about the future of Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony.
Insight: Yahoo Sports has reported that Anthony is leaning towards leaving the Knicks while the New York Post said the Knicks feel good about their chances of keeping Melo. Anthony has until June 23rd to opt out of the final year of his contract. The Bulls, Knicks and Rockets seem to have the upper hand in landing the seven-time All-Star though Miami could always fight its way into the mix.

Carmelo Anthony, F6/11/2014 8:55:00 PM
Description: According to ESPN's Brian Windhorst, the Heat are looking to sign Carmelo Anthony.
Insight: It's a foregone conclusion that Anthony will opt out of his contract with the Knicks and become a free agent. The move would give Miami a Big Four featuring Melo, LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade. Of course, in order for this to happen, all four would have to accept a significant pay cut. At this point, it's unclear if Anthony is willing to do that.
Carmelo Anthony, F6/11/2014 3:58:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony has until June 23 to notify the team if he plans to opt out of the final year of his contract, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.com.

Raymond Felton, G5/18/2014 3:28:00 PM
Description: New York point guard Raymond Felton was told by Phil Jackson that the team will attempt to trade him this offseason. SOURCE: SNY
Insight: Good luck with that. After averaging a career-worst 9.7 ppg on miserable 39.5 percent shooting, Felton isn't someone teams will be bending over backwards to get. At 29, the UNC alum's best days are probably behind him. Marcus Smart and Tyler Ennis could both be options for the Knicks at point guard depending on where they fall in the draft lottery.
Lamar Odom, F4/16/2014 9:08:00 PM
Description: Lamar Odom is officially a New York Knick. SOURCE: NBA.com

Insight: Felton's miserable season has gotten worse lately, as he averaged 7.8 ppg on .388 shooting, 5.3 assists and 1.9 turnovers in 19 games prior to Wednesday. The Knicks have a 15-point lead in the third quarter so the Knicks may just hold out Felton the rest of the game.

Description: Knicks guard Tim Hardaway Jr. (ankle) will dress for Wednesday's game, the team announced.
Insight: Hardaway suffered an ankle sprain during Monday's contest. X-rays were negative, but the guard looked to be in a lot of pain when the injury happened and was in a wheelchair afterward. He'll probably be limited Wednesday and shouldn't be started in fantasy leagues.

Insight: The 31-year-old has averaged 26.6 minutes, 16.2 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.2 blocks over his last five games. It's only a matter of time before Stoudemire's knees start bothering him again, so enjoy this production while it lasts.

Carmelo Anthony, F3/7/2014 10:06:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony added 29 points Friday in a blowout win over Utah.

Amare Stoudemire, F3/3/2014 10:05:00 PM
Description: Knicks power forward Amare Stoudemire played 32 minutes and had 22 points and six rebounds Monday at Detroit.
Insight: It probably wasn't a good decision to increase Stoudemire's minutes in the second game of a back-to-back and while the forward has been dealing with knee soreness, but the Knicks don't have much depth.
Amare Stoudemire, F3/3/2014 5:41:00 PM
Description: Knicks power forward Amare Stoudemire scored 14 points on 7-of-8 shooting in 23 minutes Sunday after missing Friday's game with knee soreness, and he says he will ignore the usual routine of sitting out the second half of a back-to-back Monday against Detroit.
Insight: Stoudemire is only going to get 22-25 minutes per game so it will be tough for him to provide consistent fantasy production.
Tyson Chandler, CHot3/2/2014 4:11:00 PM
Description: New York center Tyson Chandler was extremely active on the boards Sunday against Chicago.
Insight: Chandler, who came down with 22 rebounds on Sunday, has averaged a stunning 17 boards per contest over his last five games. His offensive contributions haven't been as noticeable (11.0 ppg in his last five) but that's nitpicking. Until this rebound binge is over, fantasy owners have no choice but to start Chandler.

Description: In a surprise move, New York guard Iman Shumpert will return to the starting lineup Sunday against Chicago. SOURCE: Alan Hahn, ESPN New York
Insight: Shumpert missed five games with a sprained MCL. He could be on a minutes limit at first, which means fantasy owners may want to wait a few days before starting him. Shumpert's return will force J.R. Smith (12.9 ppg, 3.1 apg) back to his more familiar sixth man role.

Shannon Brown, SG2/27/2014 5:30:00 PM
Description: The Knicks signed guard Shannon Brown to a 10-day contract on Thursday.
Insight: The also signed forward Earl Clark. Brown signed two 10-day contract with the Spurs but shot just 28.6 percent in 10 games. Neither player will have any fantasy value on New York.
Iman Shumpert, G2/27/2014 4:47:00 PM
Description: Iman Shumpert (MCL sprain) is still without a timetable for his return, according to Al Iannazzone of Newsday.

Raymond Felton, PG2/25/2014 6:38:00 PM
Description: According to ESPN's SportsCenter, Raymond Felton's bond has been set at $25,000. The New York guard was arrested early Tuesday morning for allegedly threatening his wife with a gun.
Insight: It's anyone's guess whether Felton will be able to play Thursday against Miami. This messy situation is far from being resolved. Pablo Prigioni would start at point guard Thursday if Felton is suspended or restricted from leaving the state.
Earl Clark, F2/25/2014 5:39:00 PM
Description: The Knicks are finalizing a contract agreement with forward Earl Clark, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of yahoosports.com.
Insight: The 76ers waived Clark this week after acquiring him from the Cavaliers in the Spencer Hawes deal. He averaged just 15.5 minutes, 5.2 points and 2.8 rebounds in 45 games with Cleveland this season and will play reserve forward minutes for New York, not enough to give him fantasy value.
Raymond Felton, PGCold2/25/2014 4:46:00 PM
Description: Knicks point guard Raymond Felton was arrested on felony gun charges Tuesday after allegedly pointing a gun at his wife, according to espn.com. Police said Felton was in possession of a gun he wasn't registered to own.
Insight: The NBA will hold off on disciplining Felton for now, but his status for Thursday's game at Miami is up in the air. The 29-year-old point guard has had a miserable season, dealing with numerous injuries and averaging just 10.4 points, 6.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game.
Carmelo Anthony, FHot2/24/2014 10:19:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony continued his scoring binge with 44 points Monday against Dallas.
Insight: He's gone over 35 points in each of his last four games, averaging 41.3 ppg over that span. Almost a third of his made field goals during that stretch have come from beyond the three-point line (19-of-59). If Melo keeps this up, he might be able to catch Kevin Durant for the scoring title by season's end.
Metta World Peace, F2/24/2014 6:55:00 PM
Description: The Knicks waived forward Metta World Peace on Monday. SOURCE: Al Iannazzone, Newsday
Insight: We wouldn't expect anyone to claim him off waivers. Obviously we can't endorse World Peace (4.8 ppg, 2.0 rpg) in fantasy until he finds a new team.
Metta World Peace, F2/23/2014 8:13:00 PM
Description: Metta World Peace expects to be bought out by the Knicks.
Insight: He tweeted Saturday that the move could happen any day now. Mike Monroe of the San Antonio Express-News is hearing World Peace (4.8 ppg in 29 games this season) could be a fit for the Spurs if and when the buyout takes place.

Description: New York forward Carmelo Anthony failed to extend his streak of 40-point games to three on Saturday, but he did have 35 points against the Hawks.

Beno Udrih, G2/22/2014 5:19:00 PM
Description: The Knicks are in the process of completing buyouts with point guard Beno Udrih and forward Metta World Peace.
Insight: World Peace has dealt with knee issues all season and won't be a fantasy option no matter where he lands. Despite an abysmal point guard situation in New York, Udrih has played just 19 mpg in 31 games this season, but he had a nice run of fantasy relevance last April, averaging 37.5 minutes, 14.3 points, 8.1 assists and 3.6 rebounds in his last nine games for the Magic. There's no need to own him at this time, however.
Carmelo Anthony, FHot2/21/2014 10:25:00 PM
Description: New York forward Carmelo Anthony was scorching hot Friday in a loss to the Magic.
Insight: Leave it to the Knicks to find a way to lose when Carmelo scores 44 points. The six three-pointers Anthony made Friday tied a season-high. Melo is averaging 43 ppg on 56.1 percent shooting over his last two games.
Amare Stoudemire, F2/21/2014 3:36:00 PM
Description: New York power forward Amare Stoudemire is questionable for Friday's game against Orlando with a sore left knee.

Iman Shumpert, G2/20/2014 12:20:00 PM
Description: Iman Shumpert's leg injury is an MCL sprain, according to Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski. He'll miss at least two weeks.
Insight: This should result in more playing time for J.R. Smith and Tim Hardaway Jr. Both played more than 36 minutes on Wednesday and combined for 35 points, eight rebounds and five assists.
Carmelo Anthony, F2/19/2014 10:31:00 PM

Iman Shumpert, G2/19/2014 9:46:00 PM
Description: Iman Shumpert suffered a leg injury Wednesday against New Orleans. He will not return.
Insight: According to Chris Herring of the Wall Street Journal, Shumpert came up lame while driving against Anthony Davis. It's going to be awful tough to trade Shumpert now that he's banged up. He'll finish the game with two points in 17 minutes of action.
Amare Stoudemire, F2/19/2014 6:48:00 PM
Description: New York power forward Amare Stoudemire won't be in the lineup Wednesday against the Pelicans. SOURCE: Jonah Ballow, Knicks.com

Description: Fresh off his 36-point performance in the Rising Stars Challenge during All-Star weekend, Knicks guard Tim Hardaway Jr. had 23 points (four threes) in 24 minutes Tuesday at Memphis.
Insight: Hardaway is running circles around Iman Shumpert (six points, 3-9 shooting) and J.R. Smith (four points, 2-8 shooting) and needs to have his minutes expanded. The rookie has put up 14 points and 2.4 triples per game in his last 11.

Description: Carmelo Anthony acknowledged that he'd be willing to take a paycut to return to the Knicks. SOURCE: Nick Borges, ESPN

Insight: Stoudemire only played 21 minutes combined in his first two games back from a sprained ankle but coach Mike Woodson has extended the leash the last three games. Unfortunately, Stoudemire probably won't get more playing time than he's getting now while Woodson is still coaching the Knicks.

Beno Udrih, G2/7/2014 11:42:00 AM
Description: New York guard Beno Udrih is questionable for Friday's game against Denver due to illness.

Iman Shumpert, G2/1/2014 12:32:00 PM
Description: Knicks guard Iman Shumpert (sprained right shoulder) missed Thursday's game and is questionable for Saturday's game against Miami. J.R. Smith usually gets the start in Shumpert's place, but Tim Hardaway Jr. has been the guy to have in your lineup.

Description: Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire (ankle) will sit out Thursday against the Cavaliers and is iffy for Sunday against Miami, according to Marc Berman of the New York Post.
Insight: Stoudemire has not made it back by his initial two-week timetable after spraining his left ankle on Jan. 16. The Knicks are playing without Andrea Bargnani, Stoudemire and Kenyon Martin, so they'll need another solid game from Jeremy Tyler (23 minutes, 17 points, five rebounds, two blocks Tuesday).
Kenyon Martin, PF1/30/2014 6:43:00 PM
Description: Knicks PF/C Kenyon Martin (ankle) will miss Thursday's game against the Cavaliers.
Insight: Martin missed five games with a left ankle sprain and then lasted just nine minutes in his return to action Tuesday before aggravating the injury. Amare Stoudemire, F1/30/2014 10:13:00 AM
Description: Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire is questionable for Thursday's game against Cleveland.
Insight: Stoudemire was expected to miss two weeks with his left ankle sprain and that timeframe brings us to Thursday, Jan 30.
