Surging Spurs rout Lakers

San Antonio, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Danny Green led a balanced San Antonio scoring attack with 15 points, as the Spurs sailed to their ninth straight win with a 119-85 decision over the listless Los Angeles Lakers on Friday at AT&T Center.

Matt Bonner recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Marco Belinelli and Aron Baynes each scored 12 for the Spurs, who saw all 13 players that dressed score at least three points.

With the win, the Spurs extended their lead to a full game over the idle Oklahoma City Thunder atop the Western Conference.

Pau Gasol posted an 18-point, 11-rebound double-double to lead the Lakers, who have lost two straight and five of their last six games.

The Lakers actually led 10-9 following a Kendall Marshall 3-pointer just under 5 1/2 minutes in, but the visitors didn't make another field goal until early in the second quarter, allowing the Spurs to run away with the contest.

San Antonio reeled off an elongated 27-7 surge before Robert Sacre finally quelled LA's field goal drought with a layup to bring the Lakers within 35-19 just over two minutes into the second.

The Spurs responded with six straight points to push the margin to 22 and carried a 61-34 spread into the locker room.

Green drained consecutive 3-pointers early in the third to extend the lead to 70-36, and despite a late burst from the Lakers, San Antonio entered the fourth with a comfortable 89-60 advantage.

Los Angeles failed to muster a threat over the final 12 minutes.

Game Notes

San Antonio's Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili combined for just 23 points. Duncan played the longest of the three, logging 15:01 ... Cory Joseph scored 11 and Jeff Ayres added 10 points for San Antonio, which shot 49 percent from the floor ... LA went a woeful 4-of-21 from 3-point range ... The Spurs dominated the rebounding battle by a 64-37 margin.
