In four games since the league's return to the ice, Chris Stewart has nine points.
Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) -
Colorado Avalanche right winger Chris Stewart has posted solid numbers over the past 30 days, enough that you should consider him for pickup.
The 2006 first-round pick (18th overall) is owned in just 51% of all leagues and started in even less, but he's been a solid performer since the Olympic break.
In four games since the league's return to the ice, Stewart has five goals, including a hat trick on Saturday, and nine points on 15 shots. But he was starting to come around even before the break, having posted six points in the four games before the stoppage.
For the season, Stewart has amassed 24 goals and 27 assists for 51 points, ranking him ninth among right wingers. He's also got a solid +13 plus/minus rating, also ninth-best at the position.
So it's a mystery why he isn't on more teams.
Obviously he wasn't on many fantasy owners' radar before the season after posting just 19 points in 53 games last season. But after a slow beginning, he's been a different skater beginning in December when he scored nine times.
