Description: An upper-body injury will sideline Steve Mason for Game 1 against the Rangers on Thursday, according to Frank Seravalli of the Philadelphia Daily News.
Insight: Ray Emery will start in Mason's place. Mason went 33-18-7 with a 2.50 GAA and a .917 SV% this season. He was shelled in his only career postseason appearance as a rookie in 2008-09, giving up 17 goals in four games against the Red Wings.
Description: Boston goalie Tuukka Rask led the league with seven shutouts in 2013-14. He went 36-15-6 with a 2.04 GAA and a .930 SV% and should be a finalist for the Vezina Trophy.
Insight: Rask benefited from having one of the NHL's best possession teams in front of him and had to make just 1,526 saves, 14th-most in the NHL and 341 behind leader Semyon Varlamov. That may hurt him in the Vezina competition. Still, it was another excellent season for the 27-year-old.
Description: Devils netminder Cory Schneider finished third in the NHL was a 1.97 GAA and tied for 13th with a .921 SV%, but he won only 16 of his 43 starts.
Insight: Schneider lost 15 games in regulation and 12 in overtime. The 28-year-old is expected to be the unquestioned No. 1 goaltender next season after splitting time with Martin Brodeur for most of 2013-14.
Description: Blues goalie Ryan Miller isn't exactly firing on all cylinders as he heads into the postseason.
Insight: Miller gave up 18 goals in his last five starts of the season and lost all five. He ended up going 10-8-1 with a 2.47 GAA and a .903 SV% in 19 starts with the Blues after starting out 7-0-1 following the trade from Buffalo.
Description: Flyers goalie Steve Mason (upper body) left Saturday's game for precautionary reasons, according to Tim Panaccio of csnphilly.com.
Insight: Coach Craig Berube said Mason will be ready to play in the first round of the playoffs against the Rangers. The 25-year-old went 33-18-7 with a 2.50 GAA and a .917 SV% this season. He was shelled in his only career postseason appearance as a rookie in 2008-09, giving up 17 goals in four games against the Red Wings.
Description: Montreal netminder Carey Price rebounded from Thursday's loss by beating the Rangers 1-0 on Saturday.
Insight: Price produced 41 saves in the victory. The Canadiens finished the regular season with 100 points, their highest point total since 2008. It looks like they'll open against Tampa Bay in the first round of the playoffs.
Description: Ottawa goalie Craig Anderson made 28 saves Saturday for his fourth shutout of the season.
Insight: Fantasy owners have to be disappointed with how Anderson (24-16-8, 3.06 GAA) has performed this season but at least he can go out on a high note after this outing. Anderson's four clean slates this season are his most since 2009-10 when he played for the Avalanche.
Description: Lightning goalie Ben Bishop (upper body) will not play again in the regular season, according to nhl.com.
Insight: Bishop is in the running for the Vezina Trophy after going 37-14-7 with a 2.23 GAA and a .924 SV% this season, but he sustained an upper-body injury Tuesday. Anders Lindback will start until Bishop is ready to return.
Description: Ducks backup goalie Frederik Andersen (upper body) will remain out of the lineup Wednesday, according to Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register.
Insight: John Gibson had a shutout in his NHL debut Monday at Vancouver and will get another start Wednesday against the Sharks. Andersen has been terrific as Jonas Hiller's backup this season, going 19-5-0 with a 2.27 GAA and a .924 SV%.
Description: Tampa Bay netminder Anders Lindback saved all 25 shots he faced Tuesday in a win against Toronto.
Insight: Lindback wasn't credited with the shutout because Ben Bishop started the game. If Bishop's upper-body injury is still an issue on Thursday, Lindback (6-12-2, 3.11 GAA) would make his 17th start of the season against the Flyers.
Description: Flames goalie Karri Ramo earned his second shutout Monday in a victory over New Jersey.
Insight: Ramo finished with 31 saves. It's his second strong outing in a row after saving 31 of 32 shots Thursday in a win against the Lightning. Expect him to be back in net Wednesday versus the Kings.
Description: Ducks backup goalie Frederik Andersen left Friday'a game with an upper-body injury and is questionable for Monday's game against Vancouver.
Insight: Andersen has been great as a backup going 19-5-0 with a 2.27 GAA and .924 SV%. Starter Jonas Hiller has lost his last two and could probably use a night off, but that won't happen until Andersen is healthy.
Description: Colorado goaltender Semyon Varlamov shut out the Blues Saturday.
Insight: Varlamov allowed two goals in each of his previous four starts and made 31 saves for the shutout Saturday. The 25-year-old has had the best season of his career, winning 40 games with a 2.42 GAA and a .927 SV%.
