Description: Blues forward Vladimir Sobotka missed Monday's game against Ottawa with an upper body injury and is questionable for Tuesday's game against San Jose.
Insight: Sobotka left Saturday's game after taking a big hit from David Clarkson. He and linemates Jaden Schwartz and Chris Stewart have played very well this season. The three have a combined 22 goals and 31 assists.
Description: St. Louis center David Backes is questionable for Tuesday's game against San Jose due to an upper body injury.
Insight: He took a big hit in Monday's game and went to the locker room. The 29-year-old has averaged almost a point per game this season (30 points in 32 contests). He should be starting in all fantasy leagues when healthy, but if this is a concussion he might be out for a little while.

Description: Penguins center Evgeni Malkin is doubtful for Monday's game against Toronto due to a lower body injury.
Insight: Malkin lost his footing and went sliding into the boards skate-first in Saturday's game and had to be helped off the ice. A Pittsburgh Tribune-Review report says it doesn't appear to be serious, but don't expect him to play Monday.
Description: Maple Leafs center Dave Bolland is no longer using crutches or a cane, but is a long, long way from returning, according to Chris Kuc, hockey writer for the Chicago Tribune.
Insight: Bolland took a skate to the back of his leg back in early November which severed a tendon on the outside of his left ankle. He says he will return to the ice this season, but there is no current announced timetable.
Description: Sharks winger Patrick Marleau had a goal, an assist and eight SOG Saturday at Nashville.
Insight: Marleau has attempted 20 SOG over his last three games and 124 in 33 games this season. That puts him on pace for his first 300-SOG season. He's dropped off a bit after recording 15 points over 13 games in October, but he still has 17 points over his last 20 games.
Description: Rangers center Derick Brassard is questionable for Sunday's game against Calgary with a lower body injury.
Insight: Brassard has five goals and nine assists in 32 games, but a -9 rating should send fantasy owners running in the opposite direction. Much more was expected out of him after he totaled 11 points in 13 games for the Rangers following a trade last season.
Description: Detroit center Darren Helm is questionable for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay due to a shoulder injury.
Insight: Helm missed five games so far and has begun to skate. He's scored 10 points in 15 games, including seven goals, so has plenty of fantasy value. It's likely he'll return by the end of the upcoming week.
Description: Dallas center Tyler Seguin has two four-point games over his last four games.
Insight: Seguin has shown he's capable of blowing up at any time, but he hasn't been able to put together a lengthy scoring streak. He's recorded 14 points over his last 11 games but had seven zero-point games in that span.
Description: Penguins center Evgeni Malkin had to be helped off the ice after slamming into the boards Saturday night at Detroit.
Insight: Malkin lost his footing and went sliding into the boards skate-first. He did not put any weight on his left leg as he was coming off the ice. According to Nick Cotsonika of yahoo.com, Malkin was walking normally in the dressing room.

Insight: Dubinsky didn't have much chance to contribute on the scoreboard Monday at Pittsburgh because he spent 20 minutes in the penalty box. The 27-year-old has six goals, 20 points, 62 PIM, 59 SOG and a +5 in 25 games this season and should be owned in all leagues that count penalty minutes.

Insight: Kadri missed Tuesday's game due to a death in his family. Following the oblique injury to Tyler Bozak, Kadri is now centering Toronto's top line of Phil Kessel and James van Riemsdyk which should help his production. He has nine goals, 19 points, 42 SOG and 39 SOG in 25 games this season.
Description: San Jose center Tomas Hertl scored the Sharks only goal Thursday at Pittsburgh.
Insight: Hertl's production has slipped significantly since he put up seven goals and 10 points in his first eight games, but he has remained a goal-scoring threat. He has 14 goals, 22 points and 81 SOG in 28 games this season.
Description: Dallas center Tyler Seguin (concussion) will be a game-time decision Thursday because he has to pass a baseline test, according to the Dallas Morning News.
Insight: Seguin, who has 12 goals, 23 points and 69 SOG in 24 games this season, missed the last two games due to concussion-like symptoms. He skated Thursday morning and looked great, according to Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News, so he should be able to play.
Description: Toronto center Tyler Bozak is on injured reserve and is out indefinitely with a strained oblique.
Insight: Bozak suffered the injury Tuesday night against the Sharks and underwent an MRI Wednesday. The center has recorded a goal and five points in five games since returning from a hamstring injury. He's not a great fantasy option.
