Insight: Sweeney has hit his only two homers this season in his last 10 games. He's batting .221 with a .566 OPS this year and isn't a fantasy option.
Angel Pagan, CF, SFG7/25/2014 9:10:00 PM
Description: Giants center fielder Angel Pagan has started to hit against live pitching, according to Carl Steward of the Bay Area News Group.
Insight: Pagan has a bulging disc in his back and hasn't played since June 14. He's expected to return in the first 10 days of August.
Coco Crisp, CF, OAKCold7/25/2014 7:34:00 PM

Moises Sierra, CF, CWS7/24/2014 10:33:00 AM
Description: White Sox outfielder Moises Sierra is a career .500 hitter (8-for-16) against Minnesota starter Phil Hughes.
Insight: Sierra doesn't play every day, so fantasy owners will need to check the starting lineup before considering him, but he is batting .333 over the past two weeks and has a favorable matchup.
Austin Jackson, CF, DETHot7/23/2014 8:43:00 PM
Description: Tigers center fielder Austin Jackson had yet another multi-hit game Wednesday against the Diamondbacks (2-5, 2 2B, 3 RBI, 2 R)
Insight: That makes six straight and nine in his past 10 games. Jackson has batted .382 with 10 doubles, two triples, one homer, nine RBI and 17 runs in his past 18 games.
Denard Span, CF, WASHot7/23/2014 8:29:00 PM
Description: Washington center fielder Denard Span has raised his average to its highest point since June 5 with a 21-for-55 (.381) stretch over his last 13 games.
Insight: Span went 4-for-5 Wednesday to reach .282 on the year. All four hits were singles, as were 18 of his last 21 hits.
Cameron Maybin, CF, SDP7/23/2014 3:44:00 PM
Description: Padres center fielder Cameron Maybin has been suspended for 25 games for amphetamines, according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today.
Insight: Maybin has tested positive for amphetamines twice. A first positive test results in additional follow-up testing but no suspension. "I have been undergoing treatment for several years for a medical condition, attention deficit disorder (ADD), for which I previously had a therapeutic use exemption (TUE),'' Maybin said in a prepared statement on Wednesday. "Unfortunately, in my attempts to switch back to a medicine that had been previously OK'd, I neglected to follow all the rules and as a result I tested positive.
Coco Crisp, CF, OAKCold7/23/2014 12:38:00 PM
Description: Oakland center fielder Coco Crisp has gone 2-for-17 since the All-Star break, but he has a good matchup Wednesday.
Insight: Crisp is 4-for-12 (.333) against Houston's Brad Peacock, and all four hits went for extra bases (2 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR).
Drew Stubbs, CF, COL7/22/2014 10:33:00 AM
Description: Rockies outfielder Drew Stubbs is just 1-for-13 with five strikeouts against Nationals right-hander Jordan Zimmermann.
Insight: Stubbs has enjoyed his first season in the light Colorado air, batting .299 with 10 HR and a career-high .837 OPS, but this is not a matchup fantasy owners will like.
Jacoby Ellsbury, CF, NYYHot7/21/2014 11:00:00 PM
Description: Yankees center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury hit his eighth home run of the season Monday against the Rangers.
Insight: Ellsbury went 2-for-4 and is hitting .291 with a .777 OPS on the year. He has batted .331 at Yankee Stadium compared to .263 on the road.
Jordany Valdespin, CF, MIA7/21/2014 3:39:00 PM
Description: Miami IF/OF Jordany Valdespin is expected to get regular time at second base.
Insight: Valdespin, a career .221 hitter, has hits in each of his first two games with the Marlins. He still doesn't offer much to fantasy owners.
Carlos Gomez, CF, MIL7/21/2014 11:10:00 AM
Description: Milwaukee center fielder Carlos Gomez is a career .400 hitter (8-for-20) with a pair of home runs versus Reds starter Mat Latos.
Insight: Gomez is batting .302 with 14 homers, 49 RBI, 58 runs, 17 steals and a .869 OPS. He's a must start.
Charlie Blackmon, CF, COL7/21/2014 10:17:00 AM
Description: Colorado center fielder Charlie Blackmon was not in the lineup Sunday due to an ankle injury and is questionable for Monday's game against Washington.
Insight: Blackmon rolled his ankle during Saturday's game. He was able to finish the 11-inning contest and his X-rays came back negative. Drew Stubbs would be his likely replacement.
Mike Trout, CF, ANAHot7/20/2014 7:28:00 PM
Description: Since he started off May 10-for-62 (.161) with 22 Ks, Angels outfielder Mike Trout has batted .358 with 19 doubles, one triple, 15 home runs, 46 RBI, 39 runs and five steals in his last 49 games.
Insight: Trout went 2-for-4 with a solo homer, a walk and three runs Sunday against the Mariners. He's hitting .313 with 23 home runs, 74 RBI and an AL-leading 1.012 OPS.
Jacoby Ellsbury, CF, NYY7/20/2014 5:32:00 PM
Description: Yankees center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury went 4-for-4 with a walk, a double, one RBI and two steals Sunday against the Reds.

Charlie Blackmon, CF, COL 7/20/2014 12:08:00 PM
Description: Colorado center fielder Charlie Blackmon is not in the lineup Sunday due to an ankle injury.
Insight: Blackmon rolled his ankle during Saturday's game. He was able to finish the 11-inning contest and his X-rays came back negative, but he'll get the day off while Drew Stubbs starts.
Mike Trout, CF, ANA7/19/2014 10:53:00 AM
Description: Los Angeles center fielder Mike Trout is a career .386 hitter with a 1.067 OPS against Felix Hernandez.
Insight: King Felix may be the best pitcher in baseball, certainly in the top-five, but Trout doesn't seem to have a problem with him. Trout leads the league in OPS (1.008) and total bases (214) to go along with his .313 batting average, 22 HR and 73 RBI.
Drew Stubbs, CF, COLHot7/19/2014 10:29:00 AM
Description: Rockies outfielder Drew Stubbs has homered in three of the past six games and has a favorable matchup Saturday night.

Colby Rasmus, CF, TORCold7/18/2014 10:12:00 PM
Description: Blue Jays center fielder Colby Rasmus hit his 13th home run of the season Friday against Texas.
Insight: Rasmus ended the first half mired in a 5-for-48 (.104) slump. He's batted .217 in 207 at-bats this year.
Jacoby Ellsbury, CF, NYY7/18/2014 9:50:00 PM
Description: Yankees center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury went 2-for-4 with a homer, two RBI and a steal Friday against the Reds.
Insight: Ellsbury hit .346 in his first 28 games and he's batted .311 over his last 43, but a 10-for-75 (.133) stretch from May 4-26 has his average at .284 for the season. He has seven home runs, 44 RBI, 45 runs and 25 steals, so he's been a good fantasy option.
Coco Crisp, CF, OAK7/18/2014 8:32:00 PM
Description: Oakland center fielder Coco Crisp (ankle, neck) is back in the lineup Friday.
Insight: Crisp missed the last four games before the All-Star break due to an ankle injury. He's also been dealing with recurring neck issues for a couple months.

Mike Trout, CF, ANA7/18/2014 12:25:00 PM
Description: Los Angeles center fielder Mike Trout is 3-for-16 (all singles) against Seattle right-hander Hisashi Iwakuma.
Insight: Trout leads the league in OPS (1.005) and total bases (209) to go along with his .310 batting average, 22 HR and 73 RBI, but don't expect much tonight.
Dexter Fowler, CF, HOU7/17/2014 4:56:00 PM
Description: Houston center fielder Dexter Fowler (intercostal) is not ready to return from the DL, according to Evan Drellich of the Houston Chronicle.
Insight: Despite not having the comforts of Coors Field (career .880 OPS there) to fall back on anymore, Fowler has put up similar numbers to last season. Unfortunately, this will be the sixth straight season in which he hasn't reached the 150-game mark.
Andrew McCutchen, CF, PITHot7/15/2014 10:24:00 AM
Description: Pittsburgh center fielder Andrew McCutchen is the hottest hitter in baseball.
Insight: McCutchen is batting .408 with a 1.363 OPS over the past dozen games, including 12 extra base hits (five homers), 13 RBI and 13 runs scored. It's no wonder he's at the top of the NL All-Star lineup - I'd want him to get as many at-bats as possible too.
Mike Trout, CF, ANAHot7/13/2014 6:58:00 PM
Description: Los Angeles center fielder Mike Trout had two doubles and four RBI Sunday at Texas.
Insight: Trout had 29 doubles, 15 homers and 59 RBI at the All-Star break last year, but somehow he's managed to improve again. He's hit .310 with 22 home runs, 73 RBI and a 1.005 OPS this season.

Desmond Jennings, CF, TAM7/13/2014 12:58:00 PM
Description: Tampa Bay center fielder Desmond Jennings (knee) is not in the lineup Sunday.

Coco Crisp, CF, OAK7/13/2014 12:55:00 PM
Description: Oakland center fielder Coco Crisp is out of the lineup Sunday.
Insight: He's been dealing with an ankle issue and will miss his fourth straight game.
Andrew McCutchen, CF, PITHot7/13/2014 12:20:00 PM
Description: Pittsburgh center fielder Andrew McCutchen is the only Pirates player with respectable numbers against Reds starter Johnny Cueto.
Insight: McCutchen homered twice Saturday night and has hit .396 with 11 extra-base hits this month. He's gone 13-for-49 (.265) with four doubles, four homers and six walks against Cueto while Pedro Alvarez, Starling Marte, Russell Martin, Neil Walker, Ike Davis and Travis Snider are a combined 16-for-118 (.136) against the right-hander.
Charlie Blackmon, CF, COLHot7/13/2014 12:27:00 AM
Description: Colorado center fielder Charlie Blackmon posted a five-hit night and stole a base, but it wasn't enough to help the Rockies beat the Twins.
Insight: Blackmon started out hitting .352 with nine homers, 29 RBI, 34 runs, eight steals and a .998 OPS in his first 38 games, but he predictably tailed off. He appears to have found his stroke again, batting .316 this week. It doesn't hurt that Carlos Gonzalez is back in the lineup and batting second behind Blackmon.
Andrew McCutchen, CF, PITHot7/13/2014 12:16:00 AM
Description: Pittsburgh center fielder Andrew McCutchen took his hot streak to another level with two home runs and a double Saturday night.
Insight: McCutchen is up to .321 with 17 HR, 61 RBI and 15 steals. He's gotten better each month, batting .286 in April, .310 in May, .343 in June and .372 so far this month.
Collin Cowgill, CF, ANA7/12/2014 10:18:00 PM
Description: Angels outfielder Collin Cowgill left Saturday night's game after gettting hit by a pitch.
Insight: Cowgill has played well in a part-time role, but fantasy owners can find better outfield help than this. He's batting .273 with five homers and 16 RBI over 69 games.
Desmond Jennings, CF, TAM7/12/2014 3:43:00 PM
Description: Tampa Bay center fielder Desmond Jennings left Friday's game after fouling a ball off his left knee and as expected is not in Saturday's starting lineup.
Insight: Jennings' X-rays were negative so he should be considered day-to-day. At most he should miss the final two games before the All-Star break. He's batting .246 with eight homers, 24 RBI, 48 runs and 12 steals.
Adam Eaton, CF, CWS7/12/2014 2:59:00 PM
Description: White Sox outfielder and leadoff man Adam Eaton is not in Saturday's starting lineup while he deals with a sore wrist and ankle.
Insight: Eaton (.270, 1 HR, 25 RBI, 42 runs) doesn't offer much to fantasy owners.
Mike Trout, CF, ANAHot7/11/2014 10:49:00 PM
Description: Los Angeles center fielder Mike Trout went 1-for-4 with a homer Friday at Texas.
Insight: Trout (.310) already has 22 home runs and 69 RBI, up from 15 and 59 at last year's All-Star break.
Billy Hamilton, CF, CIN7/11/2014 10:30:00 PM
Description: Cincinnati center fielder Billy Hamilton went 3-for-5 with one RBI Friday against Pittsburgh.
Insight: Hamilton exited Wednesday's game with hamstring tightness, but he showed no ill effects of the injury Friday. The center fielder led off the game by bunting down the first base line and he avoided a tag from Gaby Sanchez by stopping on a dime, jumping back and diving for first base.
Andrew McCutchen, CF, PITHot7/11/2014 10:26:00 PM
Description: Pittsburgh center fielder Andrew McCutchen went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and a solo homer Friday at Cincinnati.
Insight: McCutchen has batted .372 with eight extra-base hits (3 HR) and 11 RBI in 43 at-bats this month after hitting .343 with 20 extra-base hits in June. He has nine more extra-base hits and five more home runs than he had before the All-Star break last season.
Desmond Jennings, CF, TAM7/11/2014 8:21:00 PM
Description: Tampa Bay center fielder Desmond Jennings left Friday's game after fouling a ball off his left knee, according to Mark Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times.
Insight: Jennings' X-rays were negative so he should be considered day-to-day with a bruise.
Billy Hamilton, CF, CIN7/11/2014 3:55:00 PM
Description: Cincinnati center fielder Billy Hamilton pinch hit Thursday night and has made his way back into the starting lineup for Friday's series opener with Pittsburgh.
Insight: Hamilton has been one of the best players in fantasy baseball over the past month and with both Joey Votto and Brandon Phillips sidelined by injury he'll be needed to help carry the Reds offense.
