Cavs ink No. 1 pick Bennett
Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - The Cleveland Cavaliers have officially brought No. 1 overall draft pick Anthony Bennett into the fold, signing him on Tuesday.
No terms of the deal were disclosed by the club, but the Plain Dealer reported it is worth $16.7 million over three years.
The 6-foot-8, 240-pound power forward was voted the top freshman in the Mountain West Conference last season after posting averages of 16.1 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per contest for UNLV.
He made league history as the first native Canadian to be selected the NBA's No. 1 pick back on June 27.
Cleveland also officially announced that swingmen Sergey Karasev and Carrick Felix have been signed, though the paper reported those deals had been consummated earlier in the offseason.
Karasev was selected with the Cavaliers' second first-round choice at No. 19 overall, while the team took Felix with the third selection of the second round (No. 33 overall).
