Description: Angels starter C.J. Wilson threw six innings and allowed one run on four hits in a no-decision against the Mariners on Saturday.
Insight: It did not really matter what the result was for Wilson as long as he threw a good game. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning in his last outing against the Athletics and likely wanted to correct his mistakes before the playoffs. Wilson finishes the regular season 13-10 with a 4.54 ERA and is expected to start Game 2 of the ALDS.

Description: Angels starter C.J. Wilson threw seven shutout innings and allowed one hit in Wednesday's victory over the Mariners, 5-0.
Insight: Wilson's efforts helped clich the American League West division title as the Athletics lost to the Rangers to seal it. Wilson also struck out seven and walked three as he won his third straight game. In his first two victories over that stretch, however, he allowed five earned runs over 11 1/3 innings and won behind 23 runs of support. So it was nice to finally see Wilson win on his own accord.

Description: Angels starter C.J. Wilson has a nice record at 12-9, but has struggled with his ERA this season.
Insight: Heading into tonight's start against the Mariners, Wilson is sporting a 4.61 ERA, and an even worse 6.14 ERA over his past three starts. However, he continues to benefit pitching for such a dynmauc offense, as he is 2-1 during that span. Wilson should be in your lineup, simply as a result of how good the Angels are.
