Insight: Johnson scored the first two goals of the game, and then a third goal to extend the Tampa Bay lead to, 4-0, over Pittsburgh. The Penguins came storming back, but Tampa Bay held on, 4-3. Johnson has been a pleasant surprise this season with 13 goals and 24 assists and a plus-23 rating in 35 games.

Insight: After earning his first victory on Tuesday, he was unable to follow it up with another. Vasilevskiy stopped 45-of-47 shots, and will be the backup in Tampa with Ben Bishop sidelined.

Hedman had started strong with seven points in the first five games after posting a career-high 55 points last season.

Insight: Bishop came out of the crease on a Panthers clear and passed the puck up ice to defenseman Victor Hedman. He had a wide open lane because the Panthers were in a line change, and Hedman scored to win the game. Bishop looked great in his first real action since early April. Bishop missed the playoffs with an injury.

Insight: The Panthers had just cleared the puck but Lightning goal Ben Bishop came out of the crease and passed the puck up ice while Florida was in a line change. Hedman quickly gained the zone and snapped a shot passed Roberto Luongo to win, 3-2. Hedman also had an assist in the game.

Insight: The third overall pick of the 2013 draft is dealing with fracture, which should keep him sidelined for another 1-2 weeks. As of now Drouin is penciled in, as the left wing on Tampa's top line. If he is able to stay there, Drouin holds major sleeper potential.
