Calgary's Lewis fined for online comments

Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - The Canadian Football League levied an undisclosed fine against Calgary Stampeders slotback Nik Lewis for comments critical of league officials.

Lewis took to his Twitter account to criticize officiating during Saskatchewan's 35-14 home win over British Columbia this past Saturday.

It's the second time in as many seasons Lewis has been docked pay for comments on social media. Last November, he drew the ire of the CFL for tweeting out an inappropriate joke about O.J. Simpson and the murder of his ex-wife, Nicole.

In his 10th year with the Stamps, the 31-year-old has totaled 32 receptions for 400 yards and three touchdowns.
