Description: Right-handed reliever Ronald Belisario has a fractured left shoulder, according to Marc Topkins of the Tampa Bay Times.
Insight: The former White Sox reliever doesn't have much fantasy value even when healthy, though he did save eight games last season in Chicago. His 5.56 ERA and 1.45 WHIP in 2014 should gaurantee he isn't on any fantasy rosters in 2015.

Description: White Sox right-hander Ronald Belisario allowed six runs (five earned) in his first three save chances.
Insight: Chicago skipper Robin Ventura handed the closer role to Belisario when Matt Lindstrom suffered a torn tendon sheath in his ankle this past week, but he hasn't locked down the role. Ventura indicated after Belisario blew a save Saturday that the right-hander will remain the closer for now. Ventura hasn't been predictable in his closer decisions this season, so it's anyone's guess as to whether he'll go with Daniel Webb or Jake Petricka should Belisario falter again.

Description: According to, Ronald Belisario still hasn't reported to White Sox camp due to visa issues.
Insight: Robin Ventura had no updates on the situation Tuesday, saying only that "it's gone dark." Belisario's chances of grabbing the closer role are all but gone. It will either be Nate Jones, Matt Lindstrom, Daniel Webb or Scott Downs closing games for the White Sox to start the season.

Description: According to the Los Angeles Times, the Dodgers will use Ronald Belisario and Brandon League in save chances while Kenley Jansen is out with an irregular heartbeat.
Insight: Belisario had a rough patch in July when he gave up 11 earned runs but he's only allowed five earned the rest of the season. Hopefully Jansen is not out too long, as he's clearly the most dominant option of the three.

Description: The LA Times reports that Belisario has still not arrived to camp as he has been dealing with visa issues.
Insight: Belisario is not helping his cause but what he has going for him, is the fact that he had a 2.04 ERA in 69 games with the Dodgers last season. (

Description: Belisario pleaded not guilty Thursday to misdemeanor drunken driving, according to the Associated Press.
Insight: Belisario's attorney entered the plea for him at his arraignment and scheduled a pretrial hearing for October. The 26-year-old rookie right-hander is with the team in Colorado and did not appear in court. (
