Sunday, April 6th (All times Eastern)

Milwaukee Brewers (3-2) at Boston Red Sox (2-3), 1:35 p.m.

Probable Starting Pitchers: Milwaukee - Yovani Gallardo (1-0, 0.00) Boston - Jon Lester (0-1, )

(SportsNetwork.com) - Jon Lester goes after his first win of the season on Sunday when the Boston Red Sox try to avoid a three-game sweep at the hands of the Milwaukee Brewers at Fenway Park.

Lester, a 15-game winner a year ago, was terrific on Opening Day against the Baltimore Orioles, but absorbed the loss, despite allowing just two runs and six hits in seven innings. He also struck out eight and walked a batter in the 2-1 setback.

"I thought Jon Lester was in control of the ballgame here today," Farrell said. "They made the most of the hits they put up."

Milwaukee, meanwhile, will counter with righty Yovani Gallardo, who opened his season with a win for the first time in five tries. Gallardo beat the Atlanta Braves on Opening Day, holding them to just four hits over six scoreless innings.

"With Yovani, I keep saying the guy knows how to win," Roenicke said. "Any time you get a pitcher out there that understands the game and what he needs to do to win ballgames -- it's not always ERA -- it's how you pitch when you need to win ballgames, and he knows how to do that."

In his only career start at Fenway in 2011, he surrendered eight runs, five earned, on nine hits in three innings.

One day after spoiling Boston's championship celebration, Milwaukee won again on Saturday, as Logan Schafer doubled in the winning run in the top of the 11th to help the Brewers claim a 7-6 victory.

Khris Davis kept the inning alive with a two-out ground-rule double over the short wall in right against Burke Badenhop (0-1), then Schafer chased him home with another two-bagger.

Francisco Rodriguez closed the door by striking out the side to earn his second save. Tyler Thornburg (1-0) tossed a scoreless home 10th for the win.

Davis ended 4-for-6 with an RBI and two runs scored, Scooter Gennett drove in two, while both Mark Reynolds and Carlos Gomez slugged solo homers for the Brewers, who look to earn a sweep in Sunday's finale.

Mike Napoli clubbed a three-run homer with A.J. Pierzynski and Jonathan Herrera knocking in a run each for the Red Sox, who are 2-3 on the season.

The teams last met in 2011 at Fenway, with the Red Sox taking two of the three games.
