(Saturday, October 5th)
Final Score: (17) Baylor 73, West Virginia 42
Waco, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Lache Seastrunk rushed for 172 yards and two touchdowns and Bryce Petty threw a pair of touchdowns and also rushed for one as No. 17 Baylor cruised to a 73-42 win over West Virginia on Saturday.

"It's a team win. We're all smiles right now and we should be. Unfortunately, we let the game be closer stat wise than it should have been, which we'll address," said Petty. "The guys came out and everything we have done all week in preparation worked out so that's always a plus for us."
Petty completed 17-of-25 passes for 347 yards and an interception and Antwan Goodley caught seven passes for 170 yards and a touchdown in the triumph.
The Bears gained a school-record 872 yards in the game.

"It counts as one loss, just like what happened against Maryland three weeks ago. We'll regroup and do our absolute best to get back on the winning track in the next two weeks," said WVU head coach Dana Holgersen. "We have a lot to work on. I said it all week that if we got into a track meet, we wouldn't be in good shape."
Charles Sims rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown for the Mountaineers.
Baylor needed just 40 seconds to get on the board as Petty hit Goodley for a 61-yard touchdown pass.
The Mountaineers were forced to punt on the ensuing possession, but Levi Norwood fumbled and Karl Joseph pounced on the ball in the end zone to tie the game.
The Bears then scored five straight touchdowns to make it 42-7.
Petty ran it in from two yards out before connecting for Tevin Reese for a 47- yard touchdown.
Seastrunk then ripped off an 80-yard touchdown run to make it a 21-point game.
A pair of Martin touchdowns early in second put Baylor ahead by five scores until Trickett found Kevin White for a 39-yard touchdown.
Seastrunk and Linwood then ripped off rushing touchdowns from 19 and 13 yards, respectively, to make it 56-14 at the half.
Sims broke off a 29-yard touchdown to make it 56-21, but a Devin Chafin rushing touchdown and an Aaron Jones 36-yard field goal made it a 35-point game.
Millard threw a pair of TDs in the fourth to Ronald Carswell and White, and back-up quarterback Seth Russell added a rushing score for Baylor to make it 73-35.
Travis Bell picked off Russell with just over three minutes left and lateraled it to Darwin Cook, who carried it into the end zone for the final difference.
