Final Score: Buffalo 3, Edmonton 1
Edmonton, AB (SportsNetwork.com) - Cory Conacher had two goals on deflections

"I think we deserved that one," said Conacher. "We kept it pretty simple for
the most part. We ran into a bit of penalty trouble, but our PK came up huge."
Taylor Hall scored the lone Edmonton goal, while Ben Scrivens stopped 33
shots. The Oilers had won two straight games.
"For some reason tonight, when we did have the chances, we couldn't put them
in the net," said Edmonton head coach Dallas Eakins.
Conacher's second tip broke a 1-1 stalemate 69 seconds into the third period.
Drew Stafford provided the Sabres insurance at the 4:44 mark. Tyler Ennis
collected a carom off the end boards and Scrivens turned his shot away from in
close. Ennis picked up the rebound, spun around and found Stafford in the
slot. Stafford handled the pass and ripped a shot home to make it 3-1.
A one-time blast by Hall from the right circle opened the scoring with 2:12
remaining in the first period.
The Sabres drew even on a second-period power play. Jamie McBain kept in a
clearing attempt at the point and fired a shot that Conacher redirected past
Scrivens at 9:16.
