Anaheim, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Anaheim Ducks inked Orange County native and forward Nic Kerdiles to a three-year, entry-level contract on Saturday.
Kerdiles, who finished a two-year career at Wisconsin, was the first-ever Ducks draft pick (second round, 2012) to be raised locally, growing up in nearby Irvine.
The 20-year-old winger finished his sophomore season with 15 goals and 38 points, helping Wisconsin win the inaugural Big Ten hockey tournament. He departs college having totaled 26 scores and 71 points over 60 games.
