St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - After missing the previous two games of his team's first-round playoff series against the Chicago Blackhawks with an upper-body injury, St. Louis Blues captain David Backes was back in the lineup for Friday's pivotal Game 5.
Backes was injured late in Game 2 after absorbing a vicious check from Brent Seabrook, a hit that earned the Chicago defenseman a three-game suspension he will finish serving Friday night.
The best-of-seven series is tied at two games apiece.
