Nashville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Nashville Predators avoided the longest home losing streak in franchise history with a 6-1 rout of the NHL- worst Buffalo Sabres.
The Predators had gone 0-5-1 at Bridgestone Arena to match the team-record slide, but rode a four-goal first period to a third win in their last four games overall.
Shea Weber scored twice using his patented cannon shot, while rookies Calle Jarnkrok and Colton Sissons each potted their first NHL goal.
Buffalo went 1-4-0 on its road trip and has lost 10 of 11 overall.
