Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Patrick Sharp had a goal and two assists as the Chicago Blackhawks took down the Florida Panthers, 6-2, on Sunday.
Brent Seabrook, Marian Hossa and Brandon Saad all registered a goal and an assist in the victory, with Michal Handzus and Andrew Shaw scoring the other two goals.
Antti Raanta made 29 saves after taking over for an injured Corey Crawford late in the first period. Chicago snapped a season-high three-game losing skid.
"I haven't talked to the [doctors], but I don't think it's too serious," Chicago coach Joel Quenneville said of Crawford's injury. "When it's a goalie, it's a little more serious than other players because of how important he is to our team."
Dylan Olsen and Marcel Goc scored for Florida, which failed to build off of two straight wins. Scott Clemmensen surrendered all six goals on 32 shots.
Sharp lit the lamp on a power-play 70 seconds into the contest with a one- timer past a screened Clemmensen. Seabrook's second tally of the season made it 2-0 midway through the period.
Hossa scored the eventual game-winner 37 seconds into the second period when he slapped home Sharp's miss following a 2-on-1 rush.
Florida got two back in the second period. Olsen's sharp wrister from near the left boards beat Raanta gloveside for a 3-1 margin, and Goc took advantage of a poor clear by the netminder for his seventh goal of the campaign.
Late in the second, Handzus tapped in a Seabrook miss for an insurance goal.
Shaw and Saad padded the Hawks' lead with third period goals.
"Their first two goals are on the power play, which is tough to give up," Olsen said. "We knew going into the second period that we needed to get one and build from there. I thought after we got one, everyone picked up their pace, picked up the tempo. We took it to them there for a while. Like I said, they've got a skilled team over there and a good power play."
Patrick Kane had three assists and Jonathan Toews had two ... Florida went 0- for-5 on the power play, while Chicago converted on 3-of-4 man advantages ... Chicago is calling Crawford's injury a "lower body injury" and he will be reevaluated on Monday.
