San Francisco, CA (Sports Network) - Josh Freeman threw for 136 yards on 13-
of-20 passing with two touchdowns and Cadillac Williams ran for a score as
Tampa Bay handled San Francisco, 21-0, at Candlestick Park.
Williams ran for 51 yards on seven carries and LeGarrette Blount rushed for 82
yards on 26 carries to lead the Buccaneers (7-3), who have won four of five on
the road this season.
"It was a solid victory against a very talented football team," Tampa Bay head
coach Raheem Morris said. "These guys are playing great. Stats are for losers.
We don't deal with that. We deal with playing hard, playing smart and playing
Troy Smith threw for 148 yards on 16-of-31 attempts, threw an interception and
was sacked six times for the 49ers (3-7), who had won two straight.
Smith added 45 yards rushing and Josh Morgan caught four passes for 51 yards
Frank Gore, who entered Sunday averaging better than 86 yards per game, was
held to 23 yards on 12 carries.
After trading punts for most of the first quarter, Tampa Bay got the ball back
with 1:33 left in the quarter and extended a drive into the opening minutes of
Freeman led the charge down to the San Francisco six-yard line, where Williams

San Francisco was forced to punt, and Tampa Bay got the ball back at its own
34. Freeman connected with Mike Williams on first down with a 33-yard pass,
and on second down, Blount took a run up the middle and jumped over a 49ers
defender to gain extra yards, bringing the ball down to the San Francisco 17.
A run from Blount and a short reception from Cadillac Williams got the ball
down to the eight, and Freeman again went to Mike Williams for a short strike
in the right corner of the end zone, putting the Buccaneers up 14-0 in the
final minute of the third.

With just over 10 1/2 minutes left in the fourth, Smith, after scrambling to
gain six, threw a pick on an intended pass to Morgan that was grabbed by Ronde
Barber. Barber returned the ball 29 yards to the 49ers' seven.
On 3rd-and-goal from the one, Freeman used a pass to offensive tackle Donald
Penn to put Tampa Bay up 21 with 8:18 remaining.
San Francisco was unable to mount a serious offensive drive down the stretch.
"Obviously this is a big setback," 49ers head coach Mike Singletary said. "We
expected to come out and play well and we did not. We have to get back and
watch film and look at things we need to do and correct."
Tampa Bay has won four road games for the first time since 2005...This is only
the Buccaneers' second win all time in San Francisco (2-11)... Kellen Winslow
led the Tampa receiving corps with four catches for 34 yards...The Buccaneers
were 3-for-3 in red zone opportunities.
