Final Score: LA Clippers 111, Milwaukee 85
Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan and Chris Paul each recorded double-doubles as the red-hot Los Angeles Clippers dominated the Milwaukee Bucks, 111-85.
Griffin ended with 18 points and 11 rebounds for the Clippers, who have won nine in a row for the first time since Nov. 3-23, 1974, when the Buffalo Braves set a franchise record with 11 straight wins.
Jordan had 15 points and 11 boards for Los Angeles (17-6), which is off to its best start in franchise history after 23 games as well. Paul tallied 10 points and 13 assists, while Matt Barnes added 21 points off the bench.
"I thought we played well tonight defensively. We forced a lot of turnovers and we limited them to one shot a lot of the times," Jordan said.
Marquis Daniels ended with 16 points to pace the Bucks, who had a four-game winning streak snapped. Monta Ellis and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute added 13 and 11 points, respectively.
Trailing by one, 9-8, the Clippers went on a 20-4 run to take control of the game. Paul and Willie Green made 3-pointers during the surge that Barnes capped with a jumper for a 28-13 lead with 1:35 to go.
Los Angeles shot 50 percent from the field in the first quarter and took a 28-15 margin into the second.
Milwaukee scored the first seven points of the second stanza to make it a six- point contest.
Just a few minutes later, the Clippers responded with a 13-2 run to create some distance. Barnes' three-point play made it 45-28 with 4:49 remaining in the half.
Los Angeles' lead reached 22 in the second period and the Clippers went into the locker room with a 55-35 edge.
The Clippers continued to dominate in the second half and led by as many as 29 in the fourth quarter.
"That's a very talented team and if you are going to compete with them you need a superior effort. We had an inferior effort and it's pretty much that simple," Bucks head coach Scott Skiles said.
The Clippers had lost three straight at Milwaukee ... Los Angeles shot 53.7 percent from the field, while the Bucks made just 36.1 percent of their shots ... The Clippers had 66 points in the paint, compared to 28 for Milwaukee.
