Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) - Bradley Beal had 22 points, nine rebounds
and eight assists to lead the Washington Wizards to a 107-99 victory over the
Philadelphia 76ers on Monday.
Marcin Gortat contributed 19 points and 11 rebounds, Kevin Seraphin scored 16
points and John Wall added 14 for the Wizards, who have won four of their last
Michael Carter-Williams poured in 31 points to lead Philadelphia despite not
playing the final 4 1/2 minutes, even as the Sixers cut a 21-point deficit to
Thaddeus Young added 18 points for the Sixers, who have lost three in a row
and seven of their last eight, and Spencer Hawes scored 11 with 16 rebounds.
The Wizards shot 33.3 percent in the fourth quarter and the Sixers scored 13
straight points to pulled within eight with 2 1/2 minutes left.
Carter-Williams scored the first two points but checked out during the surge
with the Sixers trailing by 16. Hawes made a 3-pointer and had five points in
