Salt Lake City, UT (SportsNetwork.com) - The Utah Jazz have signed 2014 first-round draft picks Dante Exum and Rodney Hood, the team announced Friday.
Financial terms of the rookie deals were not disclosed.
The Australian Exum, picked No. 5 overall, was dubbed this year's "mystery man" in the draft after playing on the other side of the globe. The 6-foot-6 guard finished high school in December and declared for the draft as an early entrant.
Just 18 years old, Exum averaged 18.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists with the Australian National Team at the 2013 FIBA U19 World Championship.
Hood, 21, was selected with the 23rd pick after a successful season with Duke.
The 6-foot-9 forward began his collegiate career at Mississippi State before transferring to Duke and averaged 16.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists this past season en route to All-ACC Second Team honors.
