Boston, MA (Sports Network) - The Boston Celtics announced on Sunday that they have waived guard/forward Terrence Williams.
The 6-foot-6 journeyman appeared in 24 games for the Celtics last season, averaging 4.6 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists.
The former first round pick has played for four different teams since being selected by the Nets in 2009. He has seen action in just 75 games over the last three seasons since playing 78 contests in his rookie season.
He split time with the Houston Rockets and Sacramento Kings in 2011-12 before catching on with the Celtics in February.
