Final Score: Atlanta 5, Pittsburgh 0
Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Julio Teheran carried a no-hitter into the
eighth inning as the Atlanta Braves blanked the Pittsburgh Pirates, 5-0, on
Wednesday to complete a three-game series sweep at Turner Field.
With two outs in the top of the eighth, Brandon Inge laced a clean single to
left field for the Pirates' only hit of the game.
"The thing is for someone like me sitting across I get to sit for eight

game as a pinch-hitter in the eighth inning. "I couldn't see exactly what he
was throwing, but I could tell what he was getting guys out with. I don't
think any team wants to get no-hit, so it was great I could get a hit."
Teheran (4-2) struck out 11, walked two and hit a pair of batters over eight

"I felt good today from the first inning. I had good communication with Laird
and we mixed all the pitches well," Teheran said. "I was using more of my
slider. I've been throwing my two-seamer a lot, but I didn't use it much
today. I just kept them off balance."
