Trout fishing

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - With the Angels' outfield left short- handed by the injury to Peter Bourjos, the team has elected to call up a valuable fantasy property for any keeper league in No.2 prospect by Baseball America and No.1 by - Mike Trout.

Trout has huge long-term upside for fantasy owners as he's got lots of speed and will develop into a power hitter over time - a rare combination that all owners seek.

The 19-year-old from Vineland, NJ was having a very good season for the AA Arkansas Travelers. He was batting .324 with nine homers, 27 RBIs, 28 steals and an OPS of 0.950.

The 25th overall pick of the 2009 First-Year Player Draft, should be immediately picked up in every keeper league. He's got plenty of speed and hits for average already and as he fills out will develop 20-25 home-run power.

He's more of a gamble in single-season leagues as he'll have to perform immediately to even stay with the big club for the remainder of the season. Still, if you have a space open on your roster, he's worth the gamble if only for the stolen bases.
