Description: Bulls guard Derrick Rose participated in Wednesday's shootaround and told Bulls.com that he will play on Wednesday.

Description: Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic had continued to be productive even with Jimmy Butler and Taj Gibson back in the rotation for Chicago.
Insight: Mirotic proved his worth to Chicago when both Butler and Gibson were out with injuries, so coach Tom Thibodeau has continued to give Mirotic big minutes. He played 26 minutes on Saturday and led the Bulls with 24 points. He made three 3-pointers and grabbed six rebounds.
Pau Gasol, PF/C3/28/2015 10:19:00 PM

Description: Bulls guard Derrick Rose told the Chicago Tribune that he isn't sore and is still planning to return before the end of the regular season.
Insight: Rose is supposed to be cleared for full contact either this week or next. This is certainly exciting for Bulls fans, but fantasy owners outside of dynasty leagues can ignore him.
Joakim Noah, C3/25/2015 12:23:00 PM
Description: Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said forward Joakim Noah is expected to play on Wednesday versus the Raptors according to ESPN Chicago.
Insight: Taj Gibson will move to the bench if Noah does indeed play, but by no means is Noah a shoe-in to play. Chicago is very, very cautious with their stars. Nikola Mirotic will also see fewer minutes with Noah starting, but the rookie has been so good, it's hard to sit him.
Jimmy Butler, G/F3/24/2015 2:45:00 PM
Description: Bulls shooting guard Jimmy Butler made through Monday's game, scoring 19 points and adding nine rebounds.
Insight: Butler didn't shoot well, going 6-of-20, but fantasy owners should assume that's just rust and take away that he's healthy again.
Nikola Mirotic, F3/23/2015 10:31:00 PM
Description: Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic had another exceptional game as he led the Bulls in scoring off the bench versus the Hornets.
Insight: Anything fantasy owners are getting from this guy, who was likely a waiver wire pickup a few weeks ago, has been a huge plus, but now he is likely carrying some fantasy teams. He had 28 points, shooting 10-of-19 from the field on Monday with eight rebounds, two assists and a block. He was also 7-for-10 at the line and 1-for-6 from downtown. Mirotic must be started in all leagues.

Description: Bulls power forward Pau Gasol led all Chicago starters with 27 points in the, 98-86, victory over the Hornets on Monday.

Joakim Noah, C3/23/2015 7:17:00 PM
Description: Bulls center Joakim Noah will not play on Monday due to general soreness according to Comcast SportsNet Chicago.
Insight: It's a bit ironic that Jimmy Butler is returning Monday, but Noah is going to sit although Noah is probably just resting. Taj Gibson is likely going to start, but Nikola Mirotic is the best fantasy play.
Nikola Mirotic, F3/23/2015 1:38:00 PM
Description: Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic could see fewer opportunities at the offensive end as the Bulls continue to get healthier.
Insight: Mirotic had just eight points in 24 minutes on Saturday as Taj Gibson saw to see normal minutes and Monday Jimmy Butler is set to return. That's good for Chicago, but not great news for Mirotic owners who have been riding his uptick in production.
Jimmy Butler, G/F3/23/2015 1:34:00 PM
Description: Bulls shooting guard Jimmy Butler made is successfully through the morning shootaround and is now expected to play Monday night, according to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune.
Insight: Butler, who has missed the past 11 games, has been a very good performer this season averaging 20.2 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 3.3 apg, 1.7 spg. Make sure he's back in your lineup, though the blossoming of Nikola Mirotic could steal some offensive opportunities from Butler.
Pau Gasol, PF/C3/20/2015 10:32:00 PM
Description: Bulls power forward Pau Gasol scored just 11 points but did also grab nine rebounds and dish six assists.
Insight: Gasol was just 3-of-9 from the field but went 5-for-5 at the line and did other things to contribute. He also had a block. Gasol is averaging 19.0 ppg, 10.6 rpg and 1.2 bpg in the last five games.
Nikola Mirotic, F3/20/2015 10:29:00 PM
Description: Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic came off the bench and scored 29 points on Friday against the Raptors.
Insight: Mirotic didn't shoot well from the 3-point line, 3-for-11, but was 11-of-21 from the field overall. He also had 11 rebounds, four blocks and an assist. He did all of this with Taj Gibson back although Gibson played just 11 minutes. With Gibson back, Mirotic's role might become a bit murky again, but for now, fantasy owners have to roll with Mirotic. His upside is too great.
Taj Gibson, PF3/20/2015 8:24:00 PM
Description: Bulls forward Taj Gibson is suited up for Friday's game versus the Raptors according to the Bulls play-by-play announcer Chuck Swirsky.
Insight: Gibson went through the shootaround on Friday morning, but there is still no word whether or not he is going to play. Either way Gibson is a high risk, and Nikola Mirotic should still remain in fantasy lineups.
Taj Gibson, PF3/20/2015 12:02:00 PM
Description: Bulls forward Taj Gibson made it through the morning shootaround and could try to play Friday night, according to head coach Tom Thibodeau.
Insight: Gibson's return, when it comes, would cost Nikola Mirotc playing time, though there is no way the Bulls don't keep using the rookie as he's played very well. Gibson is averaging 10.6 ppg and 6.6 rpg this season.
Mike Dunleavy, G/F3/18/2015 10:42:00 PM
Description: Bulls small forward Mike Dunleavy hit five 3-pointers in the, 103-86, victory over the Pacers on Wednesday.
Insight: Dunleavy was 50 percent from the field overall and finished with 21 points. He also had five rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block. It was nice to see Dunleavy have a nice game after he went four games without reaching double figures.
Nikola Mirotic, F3/18/2015 10:40:00 PM
Description: Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic led Chicago in scoring again on Wednesday.
Insight: Mirotic continues to play an extremely important role for Chicago off the bench. He was 8-for-15 versus the Pacers to score 25 points. He also had nine rebounds, two blocks, two assists and two steals. Mirotic should be owned in all standard leagues.
Taj Gibson, PF3/17/2015 3:00:00 PM
Description: Bulls forward Taj Gibson returned to practice Tuesday as did Jimmy Butler. Still no official timetable but Gibson must be getting close.
Insight: Gibson's return, when it comes, would cost Nikola Mirotc playing time, though there is no way the Bulls don't keep using the rookie as he's averaged 20.3 ppg and 8.1 rpg in nine March contests.
Jimmy Butler, G/F3/17/2015 2:11:00 PM
Description: Bulls shooting guard Jimmy Butler went through a full practice on Tuesday, according to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune.
Insight: Butler is only in the second week of a 3-6 week timetable for return, so it appears he'll come back sooner rather than later. He's been a very good performer this season averaging 20.2 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 3.3 apg, 1.7 spg.
Joakim Noah, C3/16/2015 9:57:00 AM
Description: Bulls center Joakim Noah (knee) is still under a minutes cap, according to a Chicago Tribune report.
Insight: Noah returned after missing a game against Philadelphia, but sat for most of the fourth quarter in Sunday's loss to OKC. The minutes limit appears to be between 30-32 minutes per game. He can still be a decent value under those constraints, but has a limited upside.
Nikola Mirotic, F3/15/2015 3:38:00 PM
Description: Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic came off the bench to lead Chicago with 27 points in the loss versus the Thunder on Sunday.
Insight: Mirotic was 8-for-18 from the field, hitting two 3-pointers, and 9-of-9 at the line. He also had four rebounds, two steals, one assist and one block. He should be started in standard fantasy leagues at least until Jimmy Butler returns.
Pau Gasol, PF/C3/15/2015 3:33:00 PM
Description: Bulls power forward Pau Gasol had 20 points and eight rebounds against the Thunder on Sunday.
Insight: Gasol led all Chicago starters in both categories. He was 9-for-17 from the field with two blocks, a steal and an assist as well. Gasol is averaging 20.2 ppg and 11.6 rpg while shooting 50.6 percent from the field in the last five games.
Jimmy Butler, G/F3/15/2015 2:40:00 PM
Description: Bulls shooting guard Jimmy Butler is still not practicing, but he has done some shooting according to the Chicago Tribune.
Insight: Coach Tom Thibodeau has not set a return date for Butler. He has been out two weeks and his intial timetable was three-to-six weeks, so hopefully that means he could possibly return in a week or two.
Aaron Brooks, G3/13/2015 9:41:00 PM
Description: Bulls guard Aaron Brooks continued his strong play during Friday's loss to the Hornets.
Insight: After scoring a season-high 31 points on Thursday, Brooks went for a team-high 24 points on Friday. He also chipped in four dimes, two rebounds, three 3-pointers, and one turnover.

Description: Bulls center Joakim Noah (knee) did not play Wednesday against Philadelphia, but thinks he'll be ready for Friday versus Charlotte, according to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune. Update: Noah will start.
Insight: Noah's return would take rebounds away from Pau Gasol and Nikola Mirotic, but not many points.
Joakim Noah, C3/13/2015 10:02:00 AM
Description: Bulls center Joakim Noah (knee) did not play Wednesday against Philadelphia, but thinks he'll be ready for Friday versus Charlotte, according to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune.
Insight: Noah's return would take rebounds away from Pau Gasol and Nikola Mirotic, but not many points.
Pau Gasol, PF/C3/11/2015 9:44:00 PM
Description: Bulls power forward Pau Gasol posted a double-double on Wednesday night.
Insight: He finished with 27 points, 16 rebounds, two assists, one block, and four turnovers, while shooting 13-of-25 from the floor and 1-of-2 from the line. Nikola Mirotic pitched in 16 points and 12 boards.

Joakim Noah, C3/11/2015 5:48:00 PM
Description: Bulls center Joakim Noah (knee) will not play Wednesday against Philadelphia.
Insight: This is probably a mix of letting him heal, along with a chance to rest against a lousy team. Noah should be back in action next time out. Nikola Mirotic will see an even bigger bump in value.
Taj Gibson, PF3/11/2015 10:14:00 AM
Description: Bulls forward Taj Gibson will not play on Wednesday versus the 76ers, but he is getting closer to returning according to ESPN Chicago.
Insight: Gibson will miss his seventh straight game on Wednesday. Until he returns, Nikola Nirotc will continue to see a huge increase in value until Gibson returns.
Jimmy Butler, G/F3/11/2015 10:12:00 AM
Description: Bulls shooting guard Jimmy Butler is travelling with the team and coach Tom Thibodeau said he wouldn't be surprised if Butler beats his three-week timetable according to the Chicago Tribune.
Insight: Butler has already done some shooting but apparently dribbling is the last major obstacle for his return. He should remain stashed in all leagues.
Tony Snell, G3/9/2015 10:25:00 PM
Description: Bulls G/F Tony Snell scored 11 points in the fourth quarter as he led the team in scoring versus the Grizzlies with 21 points.
Insight: Unfortunately, Snell didn't score after the 5:58 mark of the fourth quarter. Actually, the Bulls had just one more field goal after that mark as they fell, 101-91. At the time of Snell's last field goal, Chicago was ahead, 88-84. Snell hit four 3-pointers too. He should continue to get opportunities to have games like this without Jimmy Butler and Derrick Rose in the lineup.
Joakim Noah, C3/8/2015 3:26:00 PM
Description: Bulls center Joakim Noah scored just four points, but still had a productive day.
Insight: He shot just three times, going 2-of-3 from the floor, but also had 11 boards, nine assists, two blocks, and five turnovers. Noah needs to be active everywhere.

Insight: He had 23 points and 15 boards, and shot 9-of-16 from the field and 5-of-6 from the line. Gasol also chipped in two blocks and two turnovers.

With Chicago down, 105-104, the inbound pass went to Gasol, who found Moore open from downtown. On the ensuing Thunder possession, Russell Westbrook caught the inbound pass out of bounds to end the game. Moore finished 9-of-10 from the field with 19 points off the bench. Moore has proven effective in the past when he's had to fill in for Nelson for extended stretches, but the team went with a starting backcourt of Victor Oladipo and Arron Afflalo Sunday and didn't play Moore much.

Description: Bulls power forward Pau Gasol recorded his league leading 39th double-double on Tuesday night.
Insight: He finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds, with one steal, two blocks, and three turnovers, while shooting 8-of-11 from the field and 4-of-4 from the line. Gasol simply continues to impress in a bounceback season.

Description: Bulls G/F Tony Snell should get the starting SG assignment with Jimmy Butler sidelined for the next 3-4 weeks.
Insight: Snell has averaged 8.3 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 1.5 apg in 10 starts this season. He could improve on that with both backcourt started on the sidelines.

Nikola Mirotic, F3/1/2015 3:34:00 PM
Description: Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic came off the bench to score 29 points, scoring 16 points in the final quarter, but it wasn't enough as Chicago fell to the Los Angeles Clippers, 96-86.
Insight: Mirotic nearly had a double-double with nine rebounds. He was 11-of-23 from the field, including 2-for-7 at the 3-point line. Description: Bulls guard Derrick Rose (torn meniscus surgery) has a timetable of 4-6 weeks, according to the team.

In all likelihood, Rose is out for the season and can be dropped in all redraft leagues.

Description: Bulls point guard Kirk Hinrich is expected to play on Wednesday and will likely start for the injured Derrick Rose according to ESPN Chicago.

Description: Bulls shooting guard Jimmy Butler is dealing with a sprained left thumb which has him questionable for Wednesday's game against New York.
Insight: Butler was a breakout star last season as we saw his scoring jump from 8.6 ppg to 13.1 ppg. Although he had a solid preseason, he'll have to fight for his points because of the return of Derrick Rose and the acquisition of Pau Gasol.
Kirk Hinrich, G10/20/2014 6:43:00 PM
Description: Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich has very little fantasy value with the return of point guard Derick Rose this season.
Insight: There is always a chance that Rose suffers yet another injury to his knee, but even without Rose last season, Hinrich averaged just 9.1 points per game with a 39 percent shooting percentage. He is not worth targeting in standard drafts.
Doug McDermott, F10/20/2014 6:41:00 PM
Description: Rookie Doug McDermott will have to earn his playing time with hard-noised coach Tom Thibodeau.
Insight: That being said, Chicago traded up to draft McDemott because of his raw talent and ability to score. McDermott will take minutes away from veteran Mike Dunleavy, and owners should expect McDermott to shoot a tremendous percentage playing on such a great passing team.
Taj Gibson, PF10/20/2014 6:36:00 PM
Description: As far as drafting bench players goes, Bulls forward Taj Gibson should be one of the top bench players taken in fantasy drafts.
Insight: Gibson averaged 19.3 PPG, 2.8 APG, 9.8 RPG, and 1.8 BPG in seven starts last season. The front court is crowded in Chicago, but should Joakim Noah or Pau Gasol go down, Gibson will start and Chicago shouldn't miss a beat. He will be a great sixth man as well, which makes him a late value pickup in fantasy.
Joakim Noah, C10/20/2014 6:23:00 PM
Description: Bulls center Joakim Noah is the top fantasy player in Chicago this season.
Insight: The hype will likely surround the return of Bulls point guard Derrick Rose, but Noah is the best fantasy asset in Chicago. He averaged 12.4 points, 11.3 rebounds and 5.4 assists while shooting nearly 48 percent from the floor last season. It will be extremely hard for Noah to repeat those numbers with Rose back and with the addition of Pau Gasol, but there is still plenty to like about Noah.
Pau Gasol, PF/C10/20/2014 6:17:00 PM
Description: Bulls center Pau Gasol is a solid big man to target in the middle rounds.
Insight: With the position so thin, Gasol has quite a bit of value in fantasy drafts this season. Gasol may not score as much as he did in Los Angeles, but he will likely average close to a double-double per game with 15.7 points and 9.2 rebounds. He is also one of the best passers at the center position. We expect 3.7 assists per game.
Mike Dunleavy, G/F10/20/2014 6:10:00 PM
Description: Bulls forward Mike Dunleavy has very little upside in fantasy basketball this season.
Insight: Dunleavy averaged 32 minutes per game last season, but we expect that to take a tip with rookie Doug McDermott in the rotation. Dunleavy can provide a boost in leagues with 3-pointers, but that is about it.
Jimmy Butler, G/FHot10/20/2014 6:05:00 PM
Description: Bulls shooting guard Jimmy Butler is averaging 18 points on 60 percent shooting from the field this preseason.
Insight: NBA.com reported Butler is crediting his great play this preseason to his rigorous offseason training. He came in 10 pounds lighter and more focused than last season. That's what fantasy owners love to hear.
Derrick Rose, G10/20/2014 5:59:00 PM
Description: Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said he wants his star point guard to improve upon his defense this season according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
Insight: Rose said he is used to that kind of criticism from his coach. Fantasy owners likely don't care much about Rose playing better defense. In his last full season, he averaged 1.0 steals and 0.6 blocks per game, which owners would love to take with his 7-plus assist average and 20-plus points per night.
Mike Dunleavy, G/F10/11/2014 1:44:00 PM
Description: Bulls forward Mike Dunleavy will not play in Chicago's preseason game on Saturday.
Insight: Dunleavy has soreness in his knee, but it does not sound serious. Doug McDermott will start in Dunleavy's place on Saturday. It will be fascinating to see how McDermott does in his first start, but Dunleavy clearly has the better fantasy value at this point.
Derrick Rose, G9/3/2014 12:31:00 PM
Description: Bulls point guard Derrick Rose is planning on playing in three games over three days for Team USA.
Insight: This is a nice test for fantasy owners for whether Rose will be able to withstand an NBA schedule or whether he'll need off games in back-to-backs like Dwyane Wade did last season.
Derrick Rose, G8/21/2014 11:48:00 AM
Description: Bulls point guard Derrick Rose said he will play in Team USA's exhibition game against Puerto Rico on Friday.
Insight: Rose did not suit up for Wednesday's game against Dominican Republic but he told CBS Sports there's northing to worry about. "Just trying to protect myself, just knowing that this is a long, long schedule and this is the most basketball I'll be playing in two years." Rose has played in just 10 games the past two seasons, so fantasy owners who have stuck with him should be pleased Rose is not pushing himself too early.
Derrick Rose, G8/2/2014 9:56:00 AM
Description: Bulls point guard Derrick Rose looked very good during the Team USA Showcase event in Las Vegas Friday night.
Insight: Rose missed most of last season with a torn meniscus after sitting out all of the previous season while recovering from a torn ACL, but appeared to have his explosive speed back. We expect his shot will be a bit rusty, but if he continues to play like this, he'll be selected within the first two rounds at fantasy drafts.
Derrick Rose, G7/29/2014 9:35:00 PM
Description: Syracuse coach and Team USA assistant coach Jim Boeheim said Bulls point guard Derrick Rose has been "the most impressive guy" at Team USA's training camp, according to ESPNChicago.com.
Insight: Rose missed most of last season with a torn meniscus after sitting out all of the previous season while recovering from a torn ACL. Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau, another Team USA assistant, also praised Rose. "The same (speed and explosiveness). The strength in his leg is great. His explosion is back. That's all there," Thibodeau said.
Derrick Rose, G7/28/2014 12:16:00 PM
Description: Bulls guard Derrick Rose will compete for a Team USA roster spot without any restrictions based on past injuries.
Insight: Rose missed most of last season with a torn meniscus. It will be pretty tough competition to make the final roster as Rose will be going up against Stephen Curry, Damian Lillard, John Wall, and Kyrie Irving. If he can beat any of those guys, it bodes well for his fantasy value next season.
Carlos Boozer, F7/16/2014 3:57:00 PM
Description: The Bulls have used their amnesty provision on Carlos Boozer.
Insight: Chicago shopped Boozer around the league first but couldn't find any team interested in taking on his $16.8 million salary. He averaged 28.2 minutes, 13.7 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game last season, but he was rarely used in fourth quarters and was no longer needed after the team signed Pau Gasol.
Pau Gasol, PF/C7/13/2014 3:49:00 PM
Description: Pau Gasol is finalizing a contract with the Chicago Bulls.
Insight: The acquisition of Gasol, who averaged 17.4 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.5 blocks last season, to pair with Joakim Noah will give Chicago the best passing frontcourt in the NBA. It will also keep Taj Gibson on the bench.
Derrick Rose, G6/18/2014 11:20:00 AM
Description: Bulls guard Derrick Rose has declared himself game-ready. SOURCE: K.C. Johnson, Chicago Tribune
Insight: Rose missed most of last season with a torn meniscus. He's still relatively young (25) but after so many surgeries, it's doubtful Rose will ever play at an MVP level again.
Taj Gibson, PF5/24/2014 3:52:00 PM
Description: Taj Gibson has been told he'll be the Bulls' starter at power forward next season. SOURCE: Chicago Sun-Times
Insight: The implication is that Carlos Boozer is on his way out of Chi-Town. Boozer could be tough to trade given his gigantic $16.8 million salary but Gibson (13.0 ppg, 6.8 rpg) has certainly earned his place in the starting lineup.
