Mo Williams has played great since coming to Charlotte and is averaging 23.4 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 7.0 apg in five Hornets games. It will be interesting to see how the two play at the same time.
Description: Celtics center Kelly Olynyk (ankle) is questionable for Tuesday's game against Cleveland.
Insight: Olynyk will test the ankle in pre-game warmups. That's all fantasy owners need to hear in deciding whether to start him or not. Tyler Zeller, Brandon Bass and Jonas Jerebko would all lose minutes upon Olynyk's return to the lineup.
Description: Heat guard Goran Dragic played well in just 15 minutes of action on Monday night.
Insight: He took a hard foul in the third quarter from Markieff Morris, but still went 5-of-9 from the field, 9-of-9 from the line, and 2-of-2 from downtown. Dragic finished with 21 points, four rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one turnover. Seldom used Tyler Johnson went 10-of-13 from the floor for a team-high 26 points.
Description: Nets center Brook Lopez played very well during Monday's victory against the Warriors.
Insight: He went 11-of-22 from the field and 4-of-5 from the line for 26 points, six rebounds, one block, and three turnovers. Lopez continues to come off the bench, and played 26 minutes on Monday night.
Description: Warriors guard Stephen Curry scored a team-high 26 points during Monday's loss against the Nets.
Insight: Curry had a chance to tie the game at the buzzer, but the tough layup attempt fell short. He went 8-of-16 from the field, 4-of-4 from the line, and 6-of-12 from downtown. Curry also had seven assists, two rebounds, one steal, and four turnovers.
Description: Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan was fantastic during Monday's victory against the 76ers.
Insight: He went 12-of-24 from the floor and 10-of-10 from the line for 35 points, nine rebounds, five assists, one 3-pointer, two steals, and two turnovers. DeRozan is still ranked outside the top 130 however.
Description: Bucks guard O.J. Mayo (hamstring) is expected to miss Tuesday's game against Denver.
Insight: Mayo missed two games last week, then played 27 minutes on Saturday. Mayo has the potential to hit big in the scoring and 3-point categories. Jared Dudley is expected to return and he will likely get some Mayo minutes.
Description: Clippers forward Matt Barnes left Sunday's game versus the Bulls with a right hamstring injury and is doubtful for Monday's game against Minnesota
Insight: Barnes is averaging 9.6 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 1.5 apg so his fantasy value is limited. The injury could force the Clippers to go with a three-guard lineup using Jamal Crawford. They really don't need a rebounder at the position, DeAndre Jordan is grabbing every rebound anyway.
Description: Bulls shooting guard Jimmy Butler suffering a left elbow sprain when Clippers' DeAndre Jordan collided with him on a screen and will miss the next 3-4 weeks, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.
Insight: Add the Butler injury to Derrick Rose's and the Bulls are in big trouble in the backcourt. That's 20.2 ppg and 18.4 ppg, respectively, out of the lineup. Kirk Hinrich, Aaron Brooks and Tony Snell will divide up the minutes.
Description: Hawks point guard Jeff Teague has been upgraded to probable after returning to Monday's practice.
Insight: Teague didn't play on Saturday versus the Heat due to a hamstring issue.He's having another solid season averaging 16.7 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 7.3 apg. If he can't go, Dennis Schroder has been fantasy relevant when he starts.
Description: Hawks small forward DeMarre Carroll was one of four starters rested in Saturday's game, but should be ready to go Tuesday.
Insight: He was back at practice Monday. Carroll is averaging over 31 mpg and the team gave him time off to get ready for the playoffs. You can do that when you own a 13 1/2 game lead in your division. Beware, it will likely happen again before the season ends.
Description: Hawks forward Al Horford was one of four starters to sit out Saturday's game with the Heat, but is expected to play Tuesday versus Houston.
Insight: He was back at practice Monday. Horford is averaging over 30 mpg and the team gave him time off to get ready for the playoffs. You can do that when you own a 13 1/2 game lead in your division. Beware, it will likely happen again before the season ends.
Description: Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari scored a team-high 21 points during Sunday's loss versus New Orleans.
Insight: He knocked down two 3-pointers and shot 7-of-18 from the field and 5-of-6 from the line. Gallinari played 32 minutes in a start at small forward and has now scored in double-figures in six consecutive games.
Description: Pelicans G/F Tyreke Evans scored a team-high 22 points during Sunday's victory against the Nuggets.
Insight: Evans shot 7-of-14 from the field and 8-of-11 from the line. He also chipped in seven assists, seven rebounds, one steal, and five turnovers. Evans will continue to start at point with Jrue Holiday sidelined.
Description: Oklahoma City guard D.J. Augustin filled in nicely for the injured Russell Westbrook.
Insight: With Westbrook out with a facial injury, Augustin played 41 minutes, knocked down four 3-pointers, and finished with 18 points, nine assists, seven boards, one steal, and two turnovers. Augustin is a must-own player for as long as Westbrook is sidelined.
Description: Thunder power forward Serge Ibaka posted a double during Sunday's victory against the Lakers.
Insight: The Thunder were shorthanded with Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant sidelined, so they needed Ibaka's production. He finished with 18 points, 14 boards, and three blocks. Enes Kanter also had a double-double, with 16 points and 15 rebounds.
Description: Hornets guard Mo Williams has arguably been the biggest trade deadline acquisition in the league.
Insight: He has not scored under 17 points since arriving and has played at least 37 minutes in four of his five games with Charlotte. On Sunday, Williams helped defeat Orlando with 23 points, 11 dimes, two boards, four 3-pointers, and two turnovers. If he is available, pick Williams up ASAP.
Description: Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas scored a team-high 20 points during Sunday's loss versus Golden State.
Insight: He did so off the bench in 29 minutes of action. Thomas shot 8-of-21 from the field, 3-of-11 from deep, and 1-of-1 from the line. He also pitched in five assists, two boards, and one turnover. No matter where Thomas plays, he will also be able to get up shots.
Description: Rockets star guard James Harden went toe-to-toe with Lebron James during Sunday's overtime win against the Cavaliers.
Insight: This was arguably the most entertaining game of the season, and things even got chippy between Harden and James. Harden finished with 33 points, eight boards, five assists, two 3-pointers, three steals, two blocks, five turnovers, and shot 8-of-18 from the line and an impressice 15-of-18 from the line.
Description: Cavaliers forward LeBron James was an absolute beast, but everbody will be talking about his missed free throws fruing Sunday's overtime loss to the Rockets.
Insight: Not only was James just 3-of-11 from the line, but he also missed two of them that would have given Cleveland the lead with under five seconds left in overtime. He finished 15-of-35 from the field for 37 points, eight rebounds, four assists, four 3-pointers, three steals, three blocks, and three turnovers.
Description: Celtics coach Brad Stevens told Celtics.com that center Kelly Olynyk "probably won't play" versus the Warriors on Sunday due to his ankle injury.
Insight: Stevens also said that if Olynyk can play, he probably won't enter the game. That's all fantasy owners need to hear in deciding whether to start him or not. Tyler Zeller, Brandon Bass and Jonas Jerebko will absorb Olynyk's minutes on Sunday.
Description: Bulls forward Taj Gibson was seen in a walking boot after the loss against the Clippers on Sunday according to ESPN Chicago.
Insight: Gibson did not play versus the Clippers on Sunday after rolling his ankle on Friday. He should be considered doubtful for Tuesday's game. For owners needing a replacement for Gibson, Nikola Mirotic led the team with 29 points on Sunday.
Description: Kings center DeMarcus Cousins will not play on Sunday versus the Trail Blazers.
Insight: Cousins will miss his second straight game. Carl Landry will probably start again with Reggie Evans seeing an increase in minutes as well, but Rudy Gay will see the biggest fantasy boost without Cousins.
Description: Bulls shooting guard Jimmy Butler did not return on Sunday after suffering a left elbow sprain when Clippers' DeAndre Jordan collided with him on a screen.
Insight: Butler finished the game shooting 3-of-9 from the field with 10 points, two assists, two rebounds and two 3-pointers. Without him, the Bulls really struggled on offense, scoring just 17 points in the final quarter. Butler should be considered questionable for Tuesday.
Description: Clippers center DeAndre Jordan grabbed an incredible 26 rebounds versus the Bulls on Sunday.
Insight: Jordan scored just nine points and continues to struggle at the line, but he is the best rebounder in the league. He has eight straight games with at least 15 rebounds. On Sunday, he reached that mark in the first half. Jordan is averaging 14.2 rpg this season.
Description: Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic came off the bench to score 29 points, scoring 16 points in the final quarter, but it wasn't enough as Chicago fell to the Los Angeles Clippers, 96-86.
Insight: Mirotic nearly had a double-double with nine rebounds. He was 11-of-23 from the field, including 2-for-7 at the 3-point line. Mirotic has been forgotten in fantasy realms recently, but with this game, he should resurface as a possible waiver wire add. With Derrick Rose injured and Jimmy Butler leaving on Sunday, Mirotic is one of the best offensive options for Chicago.
Description: Clippers guard Chris Paul had an incredible game with 28 points and 12 assists versus the Bulls on Sunday.
Insight: Paul was 12-of-19 from the field as the Clippers picked up its second straight big road victory. Los Angeles knocked off Memphis on Friday. Paul now has 29 double-doubles this season. He is averaging 21.8 ppg and 11.6 apg over the last five games.
Description: Bulls shooting guard Jimmy Butler left Sunday's game versus the Clippers holding his left arm and his return is questionable. UPDATE: Butler has a left elbow sprain and is questionable to return.
Insight: Butler also left the Bulls' bench to go back to the locker room. Butler suffered the apparent arm injury when he ran into DeAndre Jordan on a hard screen. Check back for updates.
Description: Clippers forward Matt Barnes left Sunday's game versus the Bulls with a hamstring injury.
Insight: Barnes was trying to stretch out his hamstring on the sideline. ESPN's Doris Burke reported he should return, so fantasy owners have nothing to worry about for now. That's also good news for the Clippers, who have a very thin bench.
Description: Hawks point guard Jeff Teague received treatment to his hamstring according to the AJC.com.
Insight: This comes out after Teague didn't play on Saturday versus the Heat. The good news is the Hawks do not play again until Tuesday, so Teague has some time to rest. If he can't go, Dennis Schroder has been fantasy relevant when he starts. Schroder had 16 points and 10 assists on Saturday.
Description: Bulls forward Taj Gibson is not playing on Sunday versus the Clippers.
Insight: Gibson reinjured his ankle during Friday's game and was limping pretty severely on the sidelines afterward. Pau Gasol is returning, so he, Joakim Noah and Nikola Mirotic will see a ton of minutes on Sunday.
Description: Jazz power forward Derrick Favors recorded a double-double in the victory over the Bucks on Saturday.
Insight: Favors has 17 double-doubles this season. He had 16 points and 12 rebounds with three blocks and three steals on Saturday. Favors shot 7-of-11 from the field. He should be owned in all standard leagues as he averaged 17.1 ppg and 7.7 rpg in February.
Description: Bucks point guard Michael Carter-Williams played much better in his third start with Milwaukee than his first two.
Insight: Carter-Williams had just 15 points in his first two games combined with Milwaukee, but he scored 16 on Saturday versus the Jazz. He also had five rebounds, four steals and three assists. Although he hasn't been scoring yet, Carter-Williams has been shooting a much better percentage with the Bucks. It's been just three games, but Carter-Williams is shooting 57.1 percent from the field for Milwaukee.
Description: Jazz point guard Trey Burke had an incredible game on Saturday versus the Bucks.
Insight: Burke was 8-of-19 from the field on his way to 23 points. He was 5-for-10 from the 3-point line and also had six assists, three rebounds and a steal. Burke has excelled since the trade deadline as he has averaged 18.2 ppg, 3.8 apg and 2.2 rpg while shooting 47.4 percent from the field.
Description: Spurs guard Danny Green had 12 points and eight rebounds in 25 minutes against the Suns on Saturday.
Insight: The Spurs led the Suns at halftime, 51-24, so the starters didn't play much in the second half. Kawhi Leonard was the only Spurs player to record over 30 minutes. Green was 4-of-7 from the field in the limited time, including 2-for-4 from the 3-point line.
Description: Suns forward Marcus Morris came off the bench and led the team in scoring as Phoenix lost to San Antonio, 101-74.
Insight: Morris shot 50 percent, hitting 3-of-4 from the 3-point line on his way to 19 points. He also had seven rebounds, a block and a steal. Morris isn't a big splash fantasy player, but he did average 12.3 ppg, 5.2 rpg while shooting 47.6 percent from the field.
Description: Spurs small forward Kawhi Leonard recorded his first double-double in over a month on Saturday.
Insight: Leonard had 22 points and 10 rebounds with three steals and two blocks. He shot 50 percent from the field and went 4-for-4 at the line. Leonard had a subpar February, averaging 13.5 ppg and 6.1 rpg, but hopefully this game gets him going in March.
Description: Mavericks power forward Dirk Nowitzki had 20 points and six rebounds in the loss versus the Nets on Saturday.
Insight: Nowitzki was 8-of-14 from the field, hitting 40 percent from the 3-point line. Nowitzki also had two assists. He is averaging 17.7 ppg and 6.1 rpg while shooting 46.3 percent from the floor this season.
Description: Nets point guard Deron Williams scored 25 points in the, 104-94, victory over the Mavericks on Saturday.
Insight: Williams hadn't scored 25 points in a game since Nov. 22. He made four 3-pointers and also had six rebounds. Williams is averaging 13.2 ppg and 6.2 apg. As long as he remains in the starting lineup, he should be owned in all standard leagues.
Description: Timberwolves guard Andrew Wiggins scored a team-high 25 points in the loss to the Grizzlies on Saturday.
Insight: Wiggins was 10-of-22 from the field and hit five 3-pointers. He also had four rebounds, two assists and a steal. Wiggins is getting better as the season goes. He is averaging 21.6 ppg in the last five games.
Description: Raptors guard Lou Williams was just 2-for-10 from the 3-point line, but he still led Toronto with 22 points on Saturday.
Insight: Williams was 6-for-16 from the field overall. He was 8-of-9 at the line as well. Williams won't produce many other numbers, on Saturday he had three assists, two rebounds and a block, but if owners need scoring, he can provide some particularly on great 3-point shooting nights.
Description: Knicks guard Tim Hardaway Jr. had 22 points, seven rebounds and an assist as New York won its second game in a row.
Insight: This was just the fourth time this season New York won back-to-back games this season. Even with no Kyle Lowry for Toronto, Knicks fans will take it. Hardaway should continue to be the team's best fantasy option for the rest of the season, but that isn't saying much.
Description: Heat center Hassan Whiteside grabbed 24 rebounds in the loss to Atlanta on Saturday.
Insight: Whiteside took full advantage of Miami's thin frontcourt and Atlanta resting Al Horford. Whiteside grabbed 16 defensive rebounds and eight offensive. He was also 6-of-8 from the field on his way to 14 points.
Description: Hawks power forward Paul Millsap led Atlanta with 22 points in the, 93-91, victory over the Heat on Saturday.
Insight: With the Hawks resting Jeff Teague, DeMarre Carroll and Al Horford, Millsap stepped up to lead the team to victory. He was 8-of-15 shooting with five rebounds, four assists and two steals. Millsap also hit two 3-pointers.
Description: Wizards center Marcin Gortat finished with 16 points and 17 rebounds in the victory over the Pistons on Saturday.
Insight: The 17 rebounds was a season-high. Gortat was 7-of-12 from the field with three steals, two assists and a block. Despite the tough times for Washington, Gortat has been playing well, averaging 14.6 ppg and 13.4 rpg over the last five games.
Description: Pistons forward Greg Monroe recorded his fourth straight double-double on Saturday versus the Wizards.
Insight: Monroe finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds as he shot 53.3 percent from the field. He also had a steal and a block. Monroe has been dynamite in the last five games, averaging 19.2 ppg and 11.6 rpg.
